as i have said, if there is no development in the third volume, i'm afraid there is just nothing to really talk about. it's sketches, it's scenes of them flirting... and that's it. it's really cute, romantic and all but there is no substance - at this point, it's strictly just an art novella.
yes the scenes are a tiny bit longer and we had the treat of an extra monologue but there is quite literally nothing to talk about. i'm afraid i won't be kind this time. in the previous volume, i stated that something needs to happen in their relationship in order to even justify the existence of this series, so it has more than bones to offer. i thought it might go on the route of "what are we" but no. when there's nothing, let alone no semblance of commentary, it's hard to allow the pockets of love and flirt the artist presents us.
this series, as cute and romantic as they are, is nothing but drawings. have a good day.
We have more of a continuity in this volume, but the strong aspect is still the silence between them, growing an intimacy that nothing 18+ could. I love reading their dialogues, but I love more to take my time and wander/wonder at the pages of innocent touches, beautiful clothes, secretive smiles, candor, and the in between poetry.
the scene where she kisses him on the cheek pretending she's just showing him her new lipstick? the scene where they play rock, paper, scissors with a kid in a car in front of them? thr scene where she tells him how he always there next to her and how she can't ever lose him.. like puppy? the scene where he lights his cigarette using her high coat as a shield from the wind? the scene where he promises to keep her treasure safe in his book? (it's a random perfume tester) the scene where he asks her to teach him how to braid her hair?
their way just living out the feeling of this unsaid love (no, it's actually more than love with them!!) without needing to say a word is absolutely the most beautiful thing i have ever read and seen in my life. outstanding and truly heartwarming.
They were something like: "She asks him to choose a belt, She asks him to hold her tighter". Or "She's walking, and a few steps ahead there's a table in the middle of the road, he pushes it aside with his foot."
One of the best mangas I've read in my life! The short moments in every chapter are so wholesome, that you feel like you just got the best hug through a book. The illustrations and doodles in every chapter are so beautiful and so aesthetically pleasing 😍 I'll probably continue with Vol. 4 when I feel like I need a hug in a book 🥹🥹
oficial de policia elije los outfits de su amiga (NO su novia 😀) ciega!!! oh my god so romantic!!! so aesthetic!!! so lana del rey!!! ahora concentremonos en el hecho de que es lógicamente imposible que un hombre le elija outfits TAN buenos...
