I have searched highs and lows for a cannibalism yaoi, and I stumbled upon this orthopedics cannibalism yaoi hidden gem instead.

Double Suicide is a complex manga that piqued my interest. It has a lot of everything that I have ever asked for. Toxic and problematic, complex characters with disturbing background, and borderline incestuous relationship that toes the line between love and the need for possession.

The main character Kei, has an unusual diet since he was a child due to curbing his own blood lust to consume his brother, Sai. He’s been downing sweets to stray far from thinking about meat and doing everything to forget about his unique cravings. Not until Touko, a girl from his class with wounds on her wrists, with a past, and a tendency to care for someone, finally found a meaning to her miserable empty life by being close to Kei, and that's where their relationship began and ended with a climax that changed Kei’s diet. Forever.

The characters’ complexities are so well portrayed in this manga that kept me flipping the pages to know more. I find it interesting how dangerous it is for Touko and Kei to become friends. One with the desire to provide and one with the desire to consume. Yet, it wasn't enough. Kei, haunted by his cravings towards his brother, took the chance to manipulate Sai, gaslight, and blame him for he was the reason why Kei turned out to be who he is and put his brother in a situation bridled with lust, confusion, intrigue, and the feeling of unknowing that both of them could never turn back.

The mangaka has indeed did a great job feeding me so well yet there are so many flaws about this manga that I just had to rate this 3 stars. I was looking forward to explore more about the brother's past, their family, and also the development of the brothers bizarre relationship. But, the manga just abruptly ended with no conclusion and imagine the disappointment on my face when I saw the two word on the left on my screen. The End. WHO DOES THAT. Hajime Tojitsuki, when I catch you Hajime Tojitsuki!!!
