This is a must read if you're struggling with weight, burnout, cptsd, gluten or dairy problems or addiction. No health professional without knowledge of the endo-cannabinoïd system or the dopamine system will ever be able to solve these problems if you don't know how the body works. It's a masterpiece.
Unfortunately, the book was quite disappointing to me.
I felt that it lacked depth and that the subject was approached from a rather narrow perspective, without exploring alternative viewpoints or the broader context in sufficient detail.
In addition, I found the endorphin recovery plan to be insufficiently developed and not fully explained. The information presented felt limited, and I would have appreciated a more comprehensive and in-depth approach.
What bothered me most was the repeated use of statements such as, “research has shown that…”, without providing any references or sources. In many cases, there was no clear way to verify the claims or explore the underlying research further, which I found particularly disappointing.
That being said, the infographics are very clear, the book is easy and pleasant to read, and the space for making notes at the back is a great addition. Unfortunately, however, the actual depth and quality of the content did not meet my expectations.
