Detective Mike Nash races against time to find a link between these grisly crimes. Who is wreaking a trail of destruction and what do they want to prove? There is one more victim to go . . .
Although you could read this book as a stand-alone there are so many references to the books preceding that my recommendation would be to start with the first book. The characters are wonderfully entertaining and developed more and more with each successive storyline. As with all the books, in this one you have a serious crime and multiple suspects. Recommend all the books in this series.
The Bleeding Heart Killer is book eleven in the DI Mike Nash series by Bill Kitson. Detective Inspector Mike Nash and his team caught a case of murder of Librarian Georgina Drake. When Detective Inspector Mike Nash arrived on the scene, he realised she was on stage and someone had removed her heart. However, it was soon recognised by Detective Inspector Mike Nash and his team that there was a serial killer on the loose, and they had to find answers quickly before more bodies turned up. The readers of The Bleeding Hear Killer will continue to follow Detective Inspector Mike Nash and his team to discover what happens.
I fell in love with the series when I read the first book, Skeletons in the Closet, and the love affairs in this series continued with The Bleeding Heart Killer. As soon as I opened this book, I engaged with the story and the characters, and I could not put the book down. I love Bill Kitson's portrayal of his characters and how they interact throughout this book. The Bleeding Heart Killer is well-written and researched by Bill Kitson. I like Bill Kitson's description of the settings, which allows me to imagine being part of the book's plot.
The readers of The Bleeding Heart Killer will understand the importance of trusting someone and the consequences when that trust is lost. Also, the readers of The Bleeding Heart Killer will learn about the meaning and the effects for people who are nymphomaniacs.
In the 11th DI Mike Nash novel, four people are brutally murdered in quick succession. All have been tortured and had their hearts removed. With no forensic evidence and nothing to connect the victims, it looks like a long, slow investigation.
Mike’s personal problems, along with the reappearance of an old flame, don’t improve his mood, and when a rogue reporter publishes details only the police and killer know, the top brass believe Mike and his team to be the source of the leak.
But with his usual aplomb and detective skills, Mike, ably assisted by Clara and the team, slowly pieces together the details. But time is running out for one more victim and there’s still the small matter of proof to contend with.
Once again, the author delivers another fast moving and addictive crime story that’s different, but compelling. As with previous novels in the series, Mike Nash and the team punch well above their weight, despite personal issues and difficulties, to solve the case.
Terrific series and this one is outstanding! Mike and his intrepid CID team perform in their usual thorough manner —- following every clue, wading through stacks of old files, and brainstorming until the solution is found. This is a series of brutal murders and torture, with seemingly no connection. That is their challenge —- find connection!
I read an awful lot of books since my health deteriorated, especially crime/thrillers and this series has got to be one of my favourites. Grabs your attention from the beginning , a definite page turner, interesting story and great characters. I've read all the books in this series and they just keep getting better. Looking forward to the next one, thank you.
Always enjoy this series but this one not a favourite. Seemed hard to get the gist of the beginning with so many characters involved. If course it was slowly bought into the story in the great way this author writes. The book was better having bought Lisa into the mix. Each character always brings value to the story. Sorry this is the last in the series. All books have been entertaining with plots well thought out.
Horrific murders with torture. Not every reader's cup of tea, but the skill of the author makes the motivation of the perpetrators understandable. Juxtaposed the murders is a subplot involving great kindness and charity. The usual gang at Helmsdale station is as sharp and humorous as ever. A good read. I recommend it.
Mr. Kitson tells a good story with some humor. His hero's police team is a cohesive unit that is at ease enough with him to rib him from time to time. There are grizzly murders, but the facts are recounted matter-of-factly and he even generates some sympathy for the perpetrators. CMac
Dynamic book! Loved the characters and the camaraderie of the team . My favorite genre too. Couldnt stop reading and put the pieces together. It did not dusappoint! Buy it! Keep up the series Mr Kitson!
I have enjoyed every book in the DCI Nash series but I loved this one! I like the characters because they are more normal than most detective books. The mystery kept you guessing. I highly recommend this series.
Wow! I read this book in less than 24 hours! I just found it so difficult to put down. The plot was superb and kept you guessing along with the detectives. Definitely worthy of 5 stars.
Another great book from Bill Kitson's inspector Nash series. Can't wait to read the next one. Clara, Viv and all the other characters are becoming more and more solid as each book progresses
A winter and pandemic read, filled my lonely days and into the night. Wonderful characters who come to life, could not get enough. Nash is a great character one would love to meet for real. Many thanks to the author for his creation, hopefully we will have more to come.
Another great story in the Inspector Mike Nash series and every bit as good of not better than the previous ones. Great characters and a storyline that meant you were unable to put the book down.Looking forward to reading more.
Nash investigates murders linked to an old case. The team is nearly broken apart as a result of assumptions by those above. It resolved itself and the in investigation uncovers those responsible. A good story but gets a bit rapid toward the end.
Bill Kitson has done it again! I love the Detective Mike Nash series! You won’t be disappointed reading The Bleeding Heart Killer. Great story with lots of twists and turns along the way to ensure that you don’t want to put the book down.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I love the twists and turns in the story. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys reading a really good mystery.
The murders in the present day started with Georgina Drake. But is there a connection with the following ones and the ones in the past. DI Nash and his team investigate. An enjoyable modern mystery
