A phenomenal series
I loved, loved these romantic suspense stories each centered around two different smart and strong characters who meet under stressful situations and manage to find their soulmates with identifying and outsmarting the bad guy. The author does a phenomenal job of weaving together heart-pounding action, palpable tension, unexpected twists, spicy romance, and a delicious slow unveiling of the bad guy’s identity. These books are hard to put down, I was equally desperate to read them all at once and also to savor them and make them last.
Cold Fear
Izzy is a physician who resigned her Army commission to care for her 17 yo sister, Kit, after the death of her mother. She hates living in the OBX because of long buried secrets and her painful past. Lincoln is the head of BAU and has his own painful past. Izzy and Lincoln meet when a death reminiscent of a serial killer on death row brings Lincoln to town.

Audrey is a nerdy professor and a biologist who works with poisonous frogs from the Amazon. Killion is in the CIA. When evidence points to Audrey having killed the VP with venom from the frogs she studies, Killion scares her in order to get a line on her boss. The plan backfires because Audrey reports the incident to the Columbian police. Thus begins the attempts on Audrey’s life and Killion’s attempts to keep her safe while they are running for their lives.
Cold Hearted
Erin is a widowed detective in the small college town of Forbes Pines. She was the lead detective who helped solve the case of a serial rapist last year resulting in the college’s star quarterback being convicted. When a double murder of the two coeds happens, the FBI is called in to assist as well as make sure there’s no issue with the original conviction. Darsh is with the BAU of the FBI and is the agent assigned. He is unaware that Erin is the woman he shared a fantastic spicy night with three years ago. A night that ended on a sour note.
There is immediate, intense attraction and chemistry between the each of the main characters but none of them are interested in pursuing it for their own reasons. But feelings rarely stay in the boxes we want them too, especially as the cases heat up along with the danger and mysteries. The stories had all the good things you’d expect with this genre - engaging dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and a captivating storyline as shown through sweet moments, strong friendships, real life issues, imperfect characters, dangerous moments, mysteries, uber protective men, smart women, secrets, painful pasts, evil actors, and love. I love these characters and this series.

Addicting. I alternated between reading and listening on Audible which let me continue the same book with few interruptions. I love the romantic thriller genre and she meets my expectations every time. Just the right amount of romance and a storyline that challenges your mind.
The same narrator does every book. His voice changes are okay, but he is good at pausing so you recognize the scene change.
The book reads really quickly, so listening let’s you savor the story more.
I enjoyed that the author continues revisiting past characters and introduces new ones that you will read about in the future. Each book is still stand alone.

I read book 1 and really liked it. I decided I should save the rest of the series and only read one occasionally. That was dumb. Life's too short to save good books when you can read them now. So I binged, reading 9 books in 16 days. It was glorious. I especially enjoy how the main characters from book 1 become supporting characters in book 2, etc. It's a great way to have some of the continuity of a sequel without the boredom of typical sequels.
Life interfered once or twice, but other than that, I never put one of these down until I finished it.

Fantastic series!💜
A great series connecting all the characters we know and love from the Cold Justice series.
There’s humor, mystery, angst & an HEA as do all the books in this series. A must read either within the series or as standalones. I love the way she balances a great story with some very steamy moments as well as touching on real life issues. The narration was absolutely perfect. Eric G. Dove is fantastic. I highly recommend this book/series!!

This book brought together two individuals whose paths had crossed three years prior to the timeline of this book! A fearless cop and a man assigned to the case! Sparks fly, the unsub continues to commit heinous acts of terror, and murder, trying to frame the college All star football player! But, Justice ruled, and. HEA ending for most of the players in this book!

AUDIOBOOK edition
Ms. Anderson sure knows how to keep the blood pressure high. The suspense building in her stories, mixed in with a few hot scenes, are sure to keep your heart going fast. It is almost impossible to guess who the bad guys are in her stories, and when it is revealed, you will be surprised. - 5 stars
Mr. Dove is giving the characters and stories life with masterful manipulation of his voice. Very enjoyable experience. Looking forward to more. - 5 stars

I absolutely love this series...
The suspense and mystery draw me into the story, but the (I hate to say Love at first Sight) instant connection these couples find make the tales oh so sweet. And sexy. I love that these characters are realistic. The women strong independent and some are tough but they can also be hurt and come out the other side. The men are alpha to the max, but also sensitive and I like the diversity. If you like romantic suspense this is the Gold Standard.

These are intense, compelling, and suspenseful romances. The character development is solid, effortlessly drawing the reader into the lives of the characters. There’s intrigue, emotions, heartache, and romance. The narrative will keep you on the edge of your seat. Once you start reading, you will find them hard to put down. I highly recommend this box set and the series!

Cold Hearted with Darsh & Erin
Great box set, thoroughly enjoyed all three stories, the first 2 I had read before, but Cold Hearted is always going to be one of my favourites. Darsh as a character is up there with Alex Parker. Fast paced and Thrilling . Absolutely loved his persona. Santa Fe.

Fantastic series.
I loved this box set. I had already read all the books in this series and bought all three of the box sets. This author is one of my favorite romance suspense writers. Each book will keep you on edge. We get multiple points of view and always a very happy ever after. I highly recommend this book.

On the edge of my seat!
Loved these 3 stories! The characters are inviting, the plot is intriguing, & the romance is encouraging. Great heroes and heroines with independent streaks which might just cause them trouble. Enjoy! 📚🎉❤️🌻

The best series ever! I've re read each after a year or so! Each book, stand alone, but has characters from each coming forward to help out. There's suspense, non stop action, and if course romance. The stories are believable and relevant.

This was a great series.after watching Cold Justice I didn’t think I would like the books but I did. This is just a great series and bringing people closure on the death of their family members.

Well...she did it again! What a great book.
Frazer is such a hard working guy who needs/deserves a love life. Isadora is an ER doctor who has held a horrible secret for years & is now trying to parent her 17 year old rebellious sister. The two are thrown together when her sisters best friend is murdered. They are instantly attracted but both have their own reasons for ignoring that until it reaches the boiling point. Izzy knows her secret will eventually tear them apart but she doesn't know that someone else already knows her secret...Wow!!!
Although this is the 4th in this series, to me each one of these are individual stories that stand alone, with their own uniqueness & have not been predictable. They are so detailed & interesting that I'm reading every free minute I get to see what happened next, the suspense quickly hooks me & the author does a great job telling the story without veering off-track & including previous characters without them overtaking the new story.

The plot is complex but very interesting without being overwhelming or bogged down with fillers plus there are no loose ends…This is exactly how I like my serial stories because each different set of characters have their own story to tell instead of piggy-backing (unfinished business) of the previous one. Patrick is like a secret CIA hitman, he gets the job done and moves on to the next "assignment." Audrey is a smart chick that fights back when she blindly gets tangled up in a web of drugs and greed but whose the real enemy? As they team up to figure this out Audrey learns from Patrick & Patrick learns a lot about Audrey.

I read this one out of order but that really didn't matter since the books in this series can stand-alone but I also love how there is always some small connection to previous characters because I actually want an update on how they are faring. I didn't read the blurb because I prefer the element of surprise & I didn't want it to cloud my chance to try to figure out whodunnit. The realistic subject matter is a touchy one and very sensitive, I usually shy away from reading anything that even hints to it. The plot hooked me immediately & I couldn't put this down. To me, the story is very detailed and graphic but it wasn't so graphic for me to not give the author a chance to tell this story. I like Erin, she is thick-skinned, brave and patient, I really think she was more loyal to her job than herself. I like Darsh, he has a chip on his shoulder but he is a very smart detective. They make a great team and have great chemistry. Plot is full of twist and action, for the first time ever, I was able to figure it out so pay close attention and enjoy this exhilarating ride. Book 4 Cold Fear
This murder mystery, pertaining particularly to serial killers, and the lengths they go to get their jollies, as well as keep themselves out of jail or from being executed, for their dastard deeds.
It is also about the honest folks, that are affected by those deeds, and how they have to deal with their own shortcomings, to ensure that the community is kept safe.
A very thought provoking episode, as I am finding, with this Author's work.
Book 5 Cold in the Shadows
She was a Frog Biologists, but the CIA Officer believed she was using the frog's deadly toxins to assassinate people.
How was she supposed to prove him wrong, whilst fighting to stay alive ahead of another more deadly threat but a drug cartel's overlord.
Great drama!
Book 6 Cold Hearted
It is strange how attraction between two people work. How one man's attentiveness can lead into love and devotion, whilst another person's can warp into ownership and possessiveness, and control. This warped emotional ownership, leading to illogical action and behavior.
This is a story highlighting both these types of attraction. It is dramatic and heartwarming in places. It shows the best and worst of human nature, and shows what police officers and those trying to keep the community safe is up against.
I found it a very engaging tale.
Having listened to the audiobooks of this series, I wish to state how I enjoyed the narrator's vocalizations of the various characters. It brings the story to life.
