Our heroine awakens one day to realize she is the villainess in a romance tale. She tries to step away from the cause of her suffering, childhood friend Ferson. But he refuses and characters never seem to listen to her or truly observe things--forced along the path of the plot and character roles. So she instead decides to change her monetary fate by buying the location of a hidden gold mine. Her actions seem to help others break away from the storyline. Yet, Ferson becomes more insane. The struggle for this one is tone. The material involves child abuse, bullying, murder, abandonment, and more. The manwha version leans into the comedy aspect of exaggerated reactions, internal grumblings, and ridiculous behaviors. The text itself struggles to present the characters as charming and crazy. They often come off as just stupid or bizarre without added context to the dialogue.

aww, pretty cute! although the ending felt a bit abrupt, which is a shame.🙂↕️ one can only hope that there’ll be side stories, or at least an epilogue.
P.S. note that i read the MANHWA, though—not the novel!
The Male Lead? I Don’t Want Him(s1)(1-30ish) (1-64C?) The reason it’s 3.5 stars is bc there’s plot holes and the ending was rushed. If it was even the ending bc it was unclear. I liked it, but like the last 30 chapters ish were like a different story.
