Female Lead - 8/10 - She has a strong sense of responsibility. Male Lead - 8/10 - The barbarian type. Main Couple - 9/10 - Opposites attract. The male lead it determined to help the female lead out of her situation while the female lead believes that her fate is already set in stone. Side Characters - 6/10 - Some are forgettable and I don't know much about their individual personalities.
Still ongoing. Smexy and interesting. Historical setting with the annoying usual sexist royalty stuff. Also, there's some public sex in the garden/forest.
I love how Leah has her own struggles with food and body image, besides all the abuse that she suffers from her family.
And with our Ml, who just keep pushing her out of her comfort zone, is so good to see him taking care of her, helping with her traumas or just adding new ones killing everyone who hurts her.
The comic is still ongoing, but so far is one of the best of the year.
Honestly this book got me hooked. At first I was a bit confused but then I got it. The Male Lead is literal goals. & love that the female lead isn’t weak and helpless. Shes such a strong character herself. The chemistry between the two is *chefs kiss*😮💨🤌🏽 Had me on edge at times and just couldn’t stop reading it.
Am I tired of very obviously desi and Arab-coded characters (the Kurkan race here is a very crude mix of desi, Middle Eastern and central Asian cultures- fair warning) being labelled as ‘beastly’ or ‘savages’ in manhwas? Yeah Am I also going to eat it up every time because he’s big, beefy, rich and an absolute gentleman who’d do anything for her? Also yeah🫣🫣🫣
He fell first and harder. Please I want Ishakan for myself. He's a whole green forest. Love the plot even though it has a heavy storyline. Pity Leah, I wanna hug her. And Cerdina and Blain can go to hell. Urghhh. Can't wait for the manhwa to be completed.
I loved the Arab representation in this novel. I’ve never read a romance fantasy novel that had an Arab male lead, which I ate up. I think it can be argued tho that it was like a fusion between Indian and Arab culture throughout this novel. I loved how Ishakan was patient and loving with Leah, and would’ve killed/did kill her enemies for her. I also love that he kept trying to feed her :)
Leah was honestly a very lovable female lead. She was headstrong, and dealt w a lot of shit. Her half brother and step mother were freaking nightmares. I think this is one of the few where the parent is literally an absolute psychopath monster. I loved that she was erotic and loved having sex, bc I feel like most female leads in these types of novels are super shy and not as sexual. I feel like it gives women that are erotica and love erotica better representation, bc we’re usually shamed for feeling and being this way.
I love that they were childhood to friends to lovers. I also loved that Ishakan has always loved her and searched for her. I also really like the manhua so far, and I feel like it sticks really well to the plot. Ishakan also looks sexy as hell in it, and Leah is beautiful in it. The smut in the novel is literally sooooooooo well written. I loved this novel.
This was waaaaaaay more of what I expected or wanted, or even knew I need.
We have Leah, princess of Estia, who has and will sacrifice herself for her country. In one of the parts of her plan she meets Ishakan. She doesn't know who is he so spends the night him with, thinking she won't see him again. Until he introduces himself as the King of the Kurkans, legendary warriors.
It was so so exciting from the beginning and there was no chance for me to predict anything of what might happen on the very next page.
The first chapters left me aghast. Sometimes I just re-read them again and again because I liked what I had read so much, but also... because I wasn't ready to leave and discover what was ahead. It took me a long time, however I enjoyed every minute!
The pacing was just so perfect! When I was starting to think we were getting delayed just because, it struck me in the face because, I was wrong.
I know I read a translations, but I cannot think that those words were not what the author had wanted to use. Each one pierced my soul one after the other. It was overwhelming, so vividly overwhelming. I enjoyed this so much T.T
I know for anyone else it may lack or go over the board with some scenes, but for me it was perfect on its own. I think the author did a great job writing her story. I wouldn't dare to put or take away anything. Even if I wanted, I wouldn't know how. It's a masterpiece on it own should I say.
The characters were just the best to go along with even the most incredible situations. I don't think anything of them should be describe but instead discovered. Their last chapters made my heart hurt of so much sentiment.
I just want this story to be printed, to hold it on my hands, hold it tightly, to be able to see it without relying on the screen.
Interesting story and the characters aren’t awful the relationship isn’t super toxic either which was refreshing since so many stories have an incredibly toxic relationship now a days
