14 books11 followersAung Thin (Burmese: အောင်သင်း was a writer in Burma known for his continuous encouraging of youth to become a righteous man.
He was born in Taungdwingyi Township, Magway Region on 17 April 1927.
His first article, Breaking Thayet Prison was printed in Myawaddy Magazine in 1959. He became a tutor at University of Yangon in 1962 but he refused to join Ne Win's Burma Socialist Programme Party. He wrote more than 50 books on genres of ethical conducts, cultural knowledge and motivation of youth inspiration. He was awarded with lifetime National Literary Award in 2012.
He was one of the founders of Free Funeral Service Society of Yangon together with Thukha and Kyaw Thu in 2001.
He died on 25 October 2014 at San Chaung, Yangon.

ဒီထဲမှာ တခြားလူတွေရဲ့ အကြောင်းတွေ၊ ကိုယ်တိုင်ရဲ့ အတွေ့အကြုံအကြောင်း အက်ဆေးပြန်ရေးထားတာတွေလည်းပါတာမို့ တက်ကျမ်းစာအုပ်လို့ပဲ ခေါ်လိုက်လို့တော့ မရဘူးထင်ပါတယ်။ ဒါပေမဲ့ ဆရာကြီးရဲ့ စာတွေကို ဖတ်လိုက်တဲ့အခါတိုင်းမှာ ကိုယ်ဘာဖြစ်လို့ တက်ကျမ်းစာအုပ်တွေကို မုန်းတတ်လဲဆိုတာကို သတိရမိတယ်။ အထူးသဖြင့် မြန်မာမှာ တက်ကျမ်းစာအုပ်တွေကို ရေးတဲ့လူတွေက ကိုယ်ပိုင်သဘောထားအမြင်နဲ့ ကိုယ်ပိုင်အတွေးအခေါ်ဆိုတာမျိုး မရှိကြတာမို့လို့ အချက်တစ်ချက်ကို ကောက်ပြောပြီးတာနဲ့ ကိုယ့်အတွေးနဲ့ကိုယ် လည်နေတတ်ကြတာမျိုးများတယ်။ သူများကို လမ်းညွှန်ချင်ပေမဲ့ ကိုယ်တိုင်မှာလည်း လမ်းပျောက်သလို လည်နေကြတဲ့လူမျိုးတွေပေါ့။
ဆရာကြီးရဲ့ စာမူတွေမှာကျတော့ နည်းနည်းလေး ဖတ်လိုက်တာနဲ့ "ဒီအပိုင်းမှာ တကယ့်ကို စိတ်အားထက်သန်ပါလား" ဆိုပြီးတော့ ခံစားမိတာမို့လို့ ကိုယ့်ကိုလည်း အဲ့ဒီလို စိတ်အားထက်သန်မှုမျိုးနဲ့ တိုက်တွန်းနေတယ်လို့ ခံစားရတယ်။ အဲ့ဒါကြောင့်မို့လို့ ဒီစာအုပ်ကို ၄ မျက်နှာလောက်လည်း ဖတ်ပြီးရော ငြိမ်ငြိမ်လေးဆက်မဖတ်နိုင်တော့ဘဲ အခန်းထဲမှာ လမ်းလျှောက်ရင်း ထဖတ်ရပါရော။
ဒီမှာပါတဲ့ အကုန်လုံးက အတွေးများစေတဲ့ စာစုတွေချည်းပါပဲ။ အထူးသဖြင့် စာရိတ္တမာနဆိုတဲ့ စာအုပ်ကို နာမည်ပေးထားတဲ့ article ဆိုရင် တကယ်စိတ်ဝင်စားဖို့လည်း ကောင်းတယ်။ ကိုယ့်ကိုယ်ကိုယ် ဆန်းစစ်ကြည့်ချင်လာတဲ့ အချိန်မျိုးဆိုရင် ဒီစာအုပ်ကို ပြန်ကောက်ကိုင်ပြီး တစ်ခေါက်လောက် ထပ်ဖတ်ကြည့်မယ်ဆိုပြီးတော့လည်း တွေးမိပါသေးတယ်။
