I enjoyed reading this quite intriguing Sci-Fi alien romance & it has an interesting plot with unique characters that actually complement each other as they continue to develop throughout the story-line. There is good support from the secondary characters.
There is: a rather grumpy male alien space pirate (Gavriel), a human female & new crew member (Jaen Nabokov), various kinds of aliens, pirates, despicable confederates, adventure, action, intrigue, drama, suspense, deceit, betrayal, comradery, strange attractions, suspicions, sabotage, manipulations, devastating memories, slavery, abduction, threats, danger, conflict, misunderstandings, disagreements, missions, compromises, steamy scenes & a satisfying conclusion.

I felt like I was trapped in an alien high school made for TV dramomedy with very immature characters.

Gavriel comes across as a 14 y/o boy with his first crush. His inner dialogue is immature and I kept wondering just how old he was. He asks the womanizer of the crew for advice on how to let Jaen know that he really likes her. His advice is to make an unwanted pass at her by kissing her against her will. What the heck!?!? Gavriel when rejected initially by Jaen thinks that this is good advice…ah no forcing someone to do something they don’t want to do is not how you start out a relationship.

Jaen for the first part of the story doesn’t really speak, instead she plays mind games with Gavriel. He likes her she knows that so she flirts and jokes with everyone else but him. She messes with him until she decides she’s done messing with him.

Gavriel’s roommate is the ships man about town that shares himself with every female he can convince to get into his bed. Of course there is someone that really likes him and he likes her too but to show that he can’t be held down he dips his wick into every pot he sees…ick

Mixed in between all of the high schoolish behavior we have a bit of intrigue, piracy and discoveries. I tried to like this drawn out sophomoric offering with very corny dialogue, over the top juvenile drama and try to focus on the above mentioned parts but it was too much of a stretch for me to connect and care about any of the characters.

This is a new author and series for me and I found the book to be engaging and very interesting and it held my attention the end. The storyline is quite unique with pirates experiencing sabotage while on route to a new salvage. The characters are amazingly well written, all are unique and quirky and most of all flawed and lifelike. We have grumpy alien Gavriel who is the quartermaster on the ship and Jaen the new silent crew member, who nobody trusts yet all the males want. Gavriel is attracted to Jaen, but she does not want any romantic entanglements.

I loved Gavriel's inner dialogue he has never been in love and he is like a hormone driven teenager, but he does mature. Jaen on the other hand is learning to trust Gavriel and her love for him while they are maneuvering through the deceptions and tricks of the saboteur on the ship. Action packed with twists and turns and plenty suspense to keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat. Great read- highly recommended

Jaen has joined a band of misfit pirates and she is only in it for the money. She believes that romance always comes with a steep price and no matter how attracted to Javriel she is, she is going to ignore it.
Jaen can’t lose more than she already has in the war that devastated her colony.
Gavriel, is exactly like every other space pirate. This is his last job and then he plans to return home. But when he sees Jaen, he is drawn to her but when he kisses her, she retaliates in an unexpected way.
Someone on the ship doesn’t want them to succeed in their mission and things start to go very wrong very quickly.
This is a very intense read; you have to keep your wits about you if you want o keep up. There is lots of intrigue that left me scratching my head, a lot!
I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC copy of the book.

Awesome lifestyle there is on this pirate-ship! If an order isn’t fulfilled as given you walk the plank! So no, when there is Mrs Titan involved, it won’t be the plank in front of the nice south sea island and some sharks but the plank in front of the next milky way and suspicious nebulae...
In between this tight regulations it’s hard to find love for everyone. But Gavriel falls into butterflies when he first sees Jaen.
Jaen is one of few human species survivors coming as a new crew member on their star ship. Will they have a nice start? Not so sure about that with an sabotage happening every now and then...
Nicely written, sometimes confusing, sometimes clear as water with amazing characters, I got a blast with all of those different humanoid living beings.
Nice read!

Epic Space Adventure
More Science Fiction than Romance, Gavriel introduces us to an eclectic crew of pirates. There’s a couple romantic plotlines, but the story focuses mainly on the saboteur, with many events and attempts before the shocking conclusion. I enjoyed this adventurous ride through space.

I loved this book Gabriel by Enid Titan . This mainly takes place on a pirate space ship and is Gabriel and Jaen’s story and finding each other although both are a little damaged . Read and see what happens with them and other crew members on their way to collect salvage from a Confederation crash site . Great book

Alien Pirates and Humans, oh my!

Alien pirates and humans are on a space ship just trying to survive. In this time and place in space, humans are mostly sex slaves. Most of the pirates have their homeworlds devastated and are trying to earn credits to survive.

Enter one new female human crew member who is not talking and wants nothing to do with males. Unfortunately, she's assigned to be the charge of the one male who wants her but has decided he cannot have her.

The story is written for adults. There is fighting, sex, death, mayhem, chaos, sabotage, and yep, you guessed it, a love story. Read and find out what happens in this atypical alien and human love story.
