But a dark witch has stolen my most valuable possession. Ok, it's really my only possession, but this one is also the most important thing to my life as a necromancer.
In the mean time, Colvin has lost another little piece of himself as he learned about what happened to Falcor's father and blames himself for everything that has happened since then. His power was growing, but now seems stunted, nearly gone.
But I'll need his help in finding the witch and my knife before the wraiths that are determined to break my sanity succeed in their task. There are suddenly tons of them. And they wont leave me alone!
Jen Pretty is a well- known and prolific writer of smart urban fantasies. Her novels are character driven, witty, often violent, and with a liberal sprinkling of coarse language. Some of her books genre-hop into mythology, pulling characters and situations from a variety of sources. When not writing, Jen can be found in the barn with her horses, or knee-deep in the vegetable garden at her home in rural Ontario, Canada, which she shares with her husband, three children, and a white husky dog named Salt.
The stories just keep getting more interesting. Selena has gone thru so much and so has all the ones she claims as family. Trying to find the witch that stole her magical blade is getting harder. More designs are showing up and Selena cannot help them. They finally figure out they need to go see the vampire, Francis, in Canada to see if he knows anything about the witch. They find more than they expected. It was a good thing Falcor had been asked to go with Selena. A great surprise was in store for both.
Getting to the end of the series, and I'm not sure I'm ready to have the Black Crow and her fellow followers leave my mind. Such a good easy to read series, full of intrigue, twists and turns. Let me get on with Seven for a Secret [Never to be Told].
