One night with a stranger. Then I find out who he is...
Christmas in Cancun? Nothing can get better than that. Until I see him. Bryce. He looks like a Christmas gift wrapped in a bow.
We talk, drink, and kiss. That's just the beginning. But one lie leads to another. It's a lot better than telling him the truth. What happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico. Right?
Unless it follows you home...
I was ready for him to be a memory. Ready to move on with my life. Until I saw him standing in the front of my class. Bryce? The hottest guy I've ever met?
He's my professor.

2.5 - 3 stars. It had some good potentials and for the most part I liked it, but it did feel a bit rushed at times, especially towards the end. It could have been a really good one with a little bit more "meat on the bones" so to speak.
I actually really enjoyed this book. Even though it sounds like a student/ teacher story there’s just a single scene of her in his class and the conflict doesn’t really arise from that part of their relationship. Still, I loved both of the main characters.
The book needs a lot of editing. I mean, a simple read through could take care of a ton of silly mistakes but I liked the story and Bryce do I was forgiving on that.
I was sad with how much the ending was rushed. The epilogue was actually the resolution to the dark spot (which honestly was resolved too easily) which means that we didn’t really get an epilogue and that made me sad. I need those epilogues where they’re married and have babies!
This was an enjoyable read. This story involves a student-teacher, age gap, romance. The story follows Abigail Knight (the student) and Bryce Marshall (the teacher). Their romance started in Cancun when they met on a beach. They shared a kiss and they went home. It is not until she walks into her class that he is her professor, and he is also the mayor’s son. She is the daughter of a convicted drug lord. Their romance was sweet. I really liked the characters. They really did love each other and I am happy that they got their happily ever after. I do wish the ending was not as rushed. Other than that, I found it to be a short and relaxing read. Overall, a great read.
Bryce and Abby met while vacationing. Love at first site. Once they departed who knew fate played a trick on them. Even Bryce’s evil dad couldn’t keep true love apart. Great book
The Professor Forbidden Encounters was off the rails and another phenomenon by Ms. Callahan. It's filled with chemistry, enthusiasm, and vivacity and pulls the reader in from the prologue. Abigale Knight is a nineteen year old student, hard worker, and a caregiver for her eighteen year old sister Lucy. She responsible for paying their Bill's, providing their food and all their necessities. She comes from the wrong side of the tracks in Oak Valley, Wyoming and the people there look down on the Knight family. Because of her dad's criminal activites. Abby saved for a whole year and planned the little Christmas escapade for her and sister Lucy. Christmases in Oak Valley is very distressing. Additionally, she would rather spend Christmas where it is warm than where it is freezing so tropical vacation is a perfect destressor. She wanted a little vacation from all her responsibilities in a nutshell her real life. She decided a week in Mexico would do them good before she as to go back to school for her second semester. Abby was walking on the beach one night and say to herself how she's going to miss the warm weather and walks on the beach. When she heard a male voice echoed the sentiment causing her to spill her drink on her hands and chest. He came out the shadows and dry to clean up the mess with some napkins. However, when he got near to her chest he froze up and gave it to her. But he was mesmerized when she was cleaning up her chest. He invited her for a refill at his cabana. Abby was blown away by good looks. It was an instant attraction for both of them the minute they met. At the cabana the stranger introduced himself as Bryce and Abby introduced herself as Jessica from Las Vegas. Abby thoughts that she was as all the way in Mexico and that she would never see Bryce again, no way would it be possible for him to be from Wyoming. They drank, talk, flirt, swim and kiss. It would've went further than kissing and Abby would've lost her virginity but Bryce stopped and told her to go back to her room. He had to end it only at a kiss because he was too shaken by his reaction to her. The communication between them is easy as they've known each other for a while. Bryce was on Christmas vacation in Cancun Mexico to get away from family obligations, work, and his controlling dad who is the mayor of Oak Valley. Bryce is also the Economic professor at Jacobs University. Since Cancun Abby has been the main star in Bryce dreams. He just can't get her out of his head, the same goes for Abby he's has been the star in her dreams. Abby went back to school only and sat in her Economic class waiting for professor Marshall to show up. She was stunned when she saw Bryce at the desk. Because this means that she made out with her professor. Bryce thought he saw the woman from Cancun and who haunts his dreams. He called out to Jessica and his student freeze then makes a run for the door. He could not believe his luck. He didn't understand why she was running from him. He realized that the attraction is just as strong as before. When he caught up with her he found out Jessica is not Jessica nor is she from Las Vegas. She told him that her was Abigale Knight and she's from there. She warns him to stay away from her, because a girl like her a criminals daughter and the son of the mayor would not make sense. But Bryce doesn't feel the same as Abby he wants to explore their attraction regardless of two different world that they live in. He decided to chase her until she became his regardless of the challenges. Bryce woo her showing everywhere until she agrees to go out on one date. Since they were doing things in secret he flew on his helicopter to Cheyenne, Wyoming to his private mansion for dinner. She had so much fun and since he was so patient to wait for the first date. She decided to invites him over for breakfast the morning at her house for a second date and cooks for him. However, her dad's friend in crime came to the house and was pretending as if he and Abby had a thing going Bryce got jealous and left. Before her dad friend showed up they fool around and Bryce her an orgasm with his hands. She wanted to go further but once Bryce found out that she was a virgin he wanted to make it special for her with candles. Their sex was sensual, lustful, and steamy. The more time that they spend together they were falling for each other although their relationship was in secret. Because Bryce dad wanted him to date Chief of Police daughter Charlie who is Abby's best friend. The mayor is dirty and wants to have the chief in his pocket. But Bryce was not having none of it. Bryce decided to take Abby to meet his stepmother and dad, and his dad tried to bribe her to breakup with his son because he thought she was not good enough. When that did not work he offered to release her dad from prison and she still told him no. But after the dinner he lied to Bryce and said she asked him to get her dad out and for money. This caused them to break up because he believed his dad over her. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and can't wait for book two. The story was filled with lies, theft, abuses, forgiveness, love. I love the epilogue it was swoon worthy.
I received a free advanced early copy of this book from the author via Bookfunnel and I am voluntarily leaving my review.
This one sizzling steamy read a forbidden romance that should have been a holiday romance that they walked away from As always Kelli writes a book that once you start you can't put down she is responsible for many a sleepless night for me
Bryce and Abby (Jessica) meet one another one night while they are both on holiday in Cancun and it leads to quite a night of passion but Abby lied about her name as been from the wrong side of the tracks she is used to people judging her and she wanted this night to just be about her. Imagine there surprise when in the new semester she discovers he is in fact her professor and that they both live in the same town To make matters even worse he is wealthy and his father is the mayor while her dad is in prison She tries to stay away as she doesn't want to tarnish his family name but Bryce has every intention of claiming her no matter what other people think. Will he convince her he is the one for her You will have to read to see
I loved this book. Abby and Bryce's story was fantastic. I loved the instant connection and chemistry between these two. Abby is considered from the wrong side of the tracks because of her father. Bryce is the "Prince" of the town because of his father. These two seem like opposites but they are more alike than they think and to me, they are perfect for each other. There is a lot of tension, steam, drama and intrigue in this book. I hooked right away and I didn't want to put it down; I stayed up way too late to read this book but it was so worth it! I can't wait to see what other pairings there will be but I do have some hopes for some certain couples. I really enjoyed this book and I would highly recommend it as well as Ms. Kelli as a truly amazing and gifted author.
I received a free e-book copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This book brings us Bryce and Abby (aka Jessica). Bryce and "Jessica" meet in Cancun on a Christmas Vacation. Abby doesn't tell Bryce her real name as she wants an evening to just enjoy herself, and she will never see Bryce again, so no harm, no foul. HOWEVER, when they return home, Abby and Bryce both surprise each other when they realize that they live in the same town, and that Bryce is Abby's Professor. Abby is from the wrong side of town, and Bryce is very wealthy and his father is the Mayor. His father is not a nice man to say the least. It was refreshing to see that it was Bryce who wouldn't give up on Abby. She tried to stay away as their last name is tarnished by her father who is in prison. It was nice to see Abby grow more confident in herself. This was an amazing read, the epilogue was perfect. I HIGHLY recommend it. I did receive an arc for an honest review.
I loved this book Bruce & Abby was love at first sight when they shared a kiss in Mexico thinking they would never see each other again but couldn't stop thinking about each other. However the last thing they expected was to find out he was her new professor which didn't bother Bruce but Abby wanted to put a halt to any relationship with him for more than it being forbidden him & his student to be together. No matter what he refused to give up on her even though he was the mayor's son & her family history was another reason they couldn't be together. I'm glad Bruce never gave up on Abby but just as the glint of a happy ever after was in sight his father was determined to ruin it & putting a stop to anything happening between them. He was a horrible dad & stepdad to Holly & wife to Diana but it turned out he was evil on a whole other level. I can't wait for the next book.
This is the latest story by Kelli Callahan and it was fantastic. I didn’t want it to end. I loved Bryce and Abby. I couldn’t wait to see what happened next to them.
Abby is from the wrong side of the tracks. Her father is in prison and even though she is trying to better her life that fact keeps her at a disadvantage. She meets a stranger on vacation and share an amazing kiss with him. She doesn’t expect to see him in front of her college class. Bryce can’t stop thinking about the girl from Mexico. He is thrilled to see her again and this time he is not going to let anything stop him. He just needs to convince her that where she comes from doesn’t matter to him. Will they get a chance at happiness together?
I received an ARC from the author/publisher for an honest review.
Holy smokes I want to go on vacation to Mexico and find me a hot professor. Knowing my luck I'd end up with a sheep in wolves clothing and definitely not as hot. Abby really gets the shock when her vacation fling is her professor yet what's more shocking is that he really wants her, being the town gossip since her dad is a convicted fellon doesn't make Abby feel like she is deserving of such attraction. Love the devotion Bryce lashes on Abby yet as always there are some bumps in the road and words they wish that wasn't said. Love the twists at the end boy you don't really know who your family is sometimes no matter how popular or wealthy they are there's always a wolf in sheep's clothing.
I really love this new series and I am so grateful to the author for my copy in exchange for my honest review. Some might consider this story your typical teacher/student romance I however disagree. Abby and Bryce's story focuses more on their relationship outside of the classroom instead of what goes on inside which is more important than how they met Being that their families are polar opposites ( like Romeo & Juliet or Hatfields & McCoy's) which adds an extra level of drama and might make things considerably more forbidden. What unfolds is a tale of two people who met under innocent circumstances but will the choices they make lead them down the path of a happily ever after or just a bunch of regretful choices?
I dislike stories like this because the man never has to earn his way back into the woman's heart. He knew his father was a cruel man yet he believed him over her. It should have taken way more than two chapters for him to fix the mess he made. The lead up to the big climax (breakup) takes over three quarters of the book. He breaks her heart in less than a chapter. Then the next chapter he learns the truth and deals with his father. The Epilogue is two pages where they get back together, get engaged and leaving to get married. He didn't grovel like he said he would. Why did she apologize to him? How could she forgive him so easily after what he said to her, and the fact he didn't believe her?
Book 1 of the new series by Kelli Callahan starts with 2 strangers meeting on a beach. Thinking they will never see each other again, one is honest while the other invents a persona that comes crashing down when they see each other in the "real" world. This is a story of a rich man trying to make his own way without his father's influence and a young woman, from the wrong side of town, trying to live down the shame of her father's actions. A good story with secrets, lies, misunderstandings, and heat. I look forward to other stories in this series. I received this ARC and voluntarily give my review.
Bryce and Abby met in Cancun. Abby and her sister are there to celebrate Christmas enjoying the warmth of the sun and the sandy beach with the rolling waves. They say “What happens in Cancun Stays in Cancun!” Well that was the plan until it wasn’t. That’s what Abby wished for when she until got home and found out her Economics Professor was none other then her Cancun dream man Bryce. The man who has not left her mind not even in her dreams. Not only did she provide him with a fake name but also where she lived. Having the last name Knight gives her pause on moving on with a future beyond her last name and living on the other side of the tracks. Literally! Bryce comes from a very influential family with ties to the community that sways the way Abby sees her future with Bryce. Not only does Bryce come from money his father is the Mayor who has plans of his own which includes Bryce marrying the Sheriff’s daughter Charlotte aka Charlie. One thing about Abby she isn’t a gold digger and prefers to make her own way in life plus taking care of her sister is number one priority. Will Bryce’s father be a big influence and get in the way of Abby and Bryce’s future? I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an amazing book. Enjoy happy reading 📚 "I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book."
The story of Bryce and Abby is very sweet, mixed with angst and frustration. They meet on vacation in Mexico, one thing leads to another, and they share a very sexy kiss. But that's supposed to be all, right? Fast forward, Abby finds out that Bryce is her professor during her new semester at college. He's not only her professor, but the Mayor's son. She, on the other hand, has a father in prison and she's from the wrong side of town. How could they ever work?
The characters are sweet, and the story very loveable. I feel like this could've been a longer book, but was very enjoyable. Recommend!
Abby and Bryce met while on vacation in Mexico But none of the could have predicted what would happen after ... imagine her surprise when she shows up to her new college class and the man she met in Mexico was her new economics professor... This was a very well written fast paced romance with a very good storyline that kept you on your toes. I give the author a lot of credit for accomplishing a romance like this and with it being has fluid and smooth as possible in just 180 pages. Would i have loved more ? Yes. But I’ll take what I can get. Overall super enjoyable. You can read Abigale and Bryce’s story now on KU

I loved how Bryce never hid how he felt from Abby. I love books like this where the main characters know they have feelings for each other and go for it. Yes there was some hesitancy on Abbys part but after everything she went through its understandable. I feel like this book could be real life and someone you might know. Also i loved the twist at the end with Bryce's dad. Very awesome story plot for sure. And the sexy scenes were everything a romantic sexy scene should be! Definitely detailed and oh so freaking hot! Over all this is another amazing book by Kelli Callahan! Cant wait to read the next one in this series!
Kelli nailed it with this book. The energy between Bryce and Abby was pulping hot. Chemistry was an understatement! Needing a break from life and her responsibilities, Abby and her sister Lucy, went to Mexico for a vacation. On the last night thers, she meets Bryce. They share and electric kiss that stays with each other long after the vacation. When Abby goes to her Economics class, she is supposed to find that her Professor, is the one and only Bryce. Bryce doesn't recognize her until the end of the class. What starts after, will run you through a guantlet of different emotions. Give this one a try. You won't be disappointed!
I enjoyed this younger woman/older man, forbidden romance. I liked the characters and the storyline. I found myself feeling invested pretty quickly and I was fiercely rooting for Abby and Bryce to find a way past all the obstacles and get that HEA. I thought the story was well crafted and its combination of emotion, tension, drama, angst, twists and heat almost impossible to resist. This is my volitional, candid review.
This was a really excellent book. 2 strangers meeting on a beach in Cancun, Mexico on vacation and the girl comes home to find out he’s her professor. Even though the book title is the Professor, it has more to do with the boy being wealthy and from the right side of town and the mayor’s son and she being a convicts daughter. It was a really beautiful story and I recommend it very much.
Age-gap, student/teacher, mayor's son/girl from the wrong side of the tracks
So many tropes! Very short read, but great story. Bryce and Abby meet on a beach in Cancun. One day, one kiss and then they go home. Turns out he's her professor, he's the mayor's son and she is the daughter of a convicted fellow. A bit complicated right? It's a good read, bit of a rushed ending but it is a short story!
Loved this book. Abby is a college student thats working her but off to take care if her sister since their dads in prison but while in Mexico she meets sexy Bryce little did she know that he will be her professor when she gets back to school. Will Bryce still feel the same for her when he learns Abby is one of his students?
Oh, I devoured this because it was good I couldn't put it down. It's a steamy forbidden romance with amazing chemistry that I could feel the sparks coming off the pages. The story just sucked me in from the very first page because it also kept me on my toes.
Thank would have given it 5 stars, if the ending had been different. The story is left undone. I didn’t like that the epilogue was rushed through, and it would have been nice to have more explanation. But overall, a great read!
Bryce meets "Jessica" on the beach in Cancun over Christmas break.
Abby is getting ready to start the next semester in college and walks into her class to see that Bryce is her professor. He is the Mayor's son and she is the daughter of a convict from the wrong side of the tracks.
This story was different. I'm disappointed that it wasn't longer. It started with the normal pattern for the genre, but as it carried on the plot got lost. It left me wanting. If I could, I would have rated it 3.5 stars.
This was actually a pretty decent book until the ending. If you've read it you know what I'm talking about. As not to spoil I'll only say it was extremely rushed and left a lot to be desired.
