Things have escalated in Silverhold Detention Center for the Magically Delinquent. WAY too many people want me dead. Okay, maybe I regret a little.

I refuse to accept Venus as Supreme Queen of the witches, but I doubt I have much say in the matter. All the witches in here seem like they are bowing down to her now. Except one. Wren wants vengeance and I can use that. We only need one witch on our side to break out of here.
And the breakout is happened. Very soon. Our plans got escalated with that little prison assassination. We all know I’m next. Hauser keeps telling me to ask for Faust’s help, but I think it was an omen the alarms went off right when I was about to tell him my secret.

I’m coming to care for him though. I’m coming to care for all of them. I can figure that out when Silverhold Detention Center for the Magically Delinquent is far in my taillights.

What a crazy prison experience Rei is having and she’s barely been there long. I really hoped and thought Rei and her harem would make it out of prison sooner but let’s just say it’s not as easy as they all think it’s going to be. Turns out there’s a lot more shit and people to take care of before they can leave successfully. Doesn’t help Rei is very well known and not for the best reasons. Of course all the current prison drama revolves around one witch with a grudge and skills at manipulation that are scary. Within days she takes over a coven and convinces them to back her, even taking out the covens leader but in the end things don’t work out too well for any of them! 😈 Much of the story revolves around Rei and her harem planning a way out. Relationship wise things move slow but it’s clear now Rei feels her mate bond with Faust, wants her first female relationship to be with Wren and won’t give up on her gargoyle or sphinx either. And she has yet to meet this new unknown mate she has in hell, I can’t wait to see them together and even just finally meet lol. I’m glad the end worked out the way it did though I am ready to see what’s next for them all and what life hell has to offer them.

Okay, I Regret a Little is the second installment in the Silverhold Detention Center of the Magically Delinquent series. We are still living this crazy prison life and falling in love with Rei. Seriously, I love how awesome she is. It's also really cute how her little harem is just so in awe of her too. The only thing that would have been the cherry on top was two people dying. They knew who they were, and I was tired of their shit.

We also get some new POV's in this. Definitely excited to hear from Wren and I'm not mad about her joining the little harem. There's definite chemistry between her and Rei. I just need Mr. Wolf to get on board with everyone and be happy.

Other than that, the drama definitely doesn't stop here. Especially after that little cliffhanger. I need answers and a little reunion please. I also really want the Warden to magically disappear too. Just saying.

In the end, I'm enjoying the heck out of this series. Super excited to see what will happen next and hoping that they finally escape it all.

While the plotline is good. Im not sure if can hold my interest. Our female lead Rei, feels bored even tho shes is a kitsune and has a few people floating around her, we haven't had any steam. While I imagine the next book may be better they've been trying to escape prison for 2 books now and it's just...boring.

I absolutely loved this book, the first was amazing and the second is even better. The relationships have definitely progressed and one more person was added to her harem. The escape plan is officially underway and she is super excited to get out but things don't exactly go to plan. The cliff hanger at the end left me completely wrecked and im still sitting here with a horrible book hangover and I need the next one like yesterday. I definitely don't regret reading this series and I bet you won't either so just buy it already lol.

I've read a lot of books written by JB Trepagnier; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the second book in the Silverhold Detention Center for the Magically Delinquent Series; Rei feels she is the next one that’s going to get murdered so she’s planning on escaping before that can happen. JB has written a fantastic book but ends in a cliffhanger.

Thank you to Booksprout and the author, J.B Trepagnier, for providing a copy of Okay, I Regret a Little (Silverhold Detention Centre book 2). I have reviewed honestly.

Rei has a price on her head, even whilst she serves her 7 year sentence. The witches are whispering, the foxes are sneaking and the misfits are plotting. Join Rei and her crew as things within Silverhold escalate to new heights.

Okay, I Regret a Little features, but is not limited to, the following themes:
○ Supernatural Prison
○ Reverse harem
○ Paranormal romance
○ Light F/F scenes
○ NA fantasy
○ Possessive alphahole
○ Forbidden romance

My overall rating for Okay, I Regret a Little is…

4 Stars!

This was such an epic sequal to I Regret Nothing! The characters all stepped up a notch in this book and I loved exploring their developments. The tale was enjoyable and took some unexpected turns. The setting is phenomenal! I love anything supernatural/paranormal in settings such as prisons and schools. With the prison, you get Anti-heroes, forbidden love and sass, Silverhold Detention Centre does not disappoint!

From the moment Rei set foot in the prison I want her to escape. I don't care that she steals shit. Honestly, she seems to have a stronger moral compass than most. I also have developed a strange attraction to Faust and his wolf, but I'm guessing that has something to do with my daddy issues. I want them to escape. I want them to go to hell and meet all of the other characters I have come to enjoy.

These books have been a wonderful escape and grand distraction to what I should be doing like sleeping or studying. They are short and quick to read, which is perfect when you're a roving grad student that only has a few hours to burn between research and writing. Keep in mind anything under 400 pages is short for me. I have a warped perception of what is too long, although no one ever really complains about anything being too long in this genre of books.

I am in love with this multiverse, so the lack of unadulterated spicy scenes hasn't really bothered me in Silverhold. Even if it was offered, I wouldn't be turned on when our main characters have been forced into the carceral state and are clearly being abused. If I need some extra spice I'll reread those tentacle scenes in My Beautiful Monsters or the group sex ... in well, several of the other series. I've read a lot of books since December, about 80, and I keep returning the Trepagnier's writing.

It's easy to fall into the rhythm of the plot that is punctuated by amusing dialogue. Another plus is this isn't some basic cis-het fantasy following the boundaries and rules of missionary sex and male doms being called daddy. I don't know about you reader but the older I get the Queerer I get. I'm finding myself getting pulled more and more to LGBTQ centered stories and series.

Some turn offs is the book is it is too short, I wanted more. I hate cliffhangers, but a good cliffhanger means an automatic pre-order so I accept it. This isn't the strongest series either, but it fills gaps in some of the other books. It allows you to find out what happened and how hell has had more of its family return. I assume or maybe it's more hope that we will see Rei and her merry group of delinquents pop up in future series.

I usually like this author but I’m frustrated

So, this author usually gets the job done. I like our FMC and I kinda like our guys individually. But something isn’t jiving with me and I finally realized what it was. Plot. These FMCs in her stories are extraordinary in their own right but are in the dark/alone/grew up ignorant. And then a dual timeline lays out: home realm and human realm. Our FMC wants to figure out who she is (royalty anyone?) but then she gets complete normal Mates or love interests tied to the human realm totally killing her vibe. These FMCs never chose to go “home” or to their home families because they are now tied to a completely different story. It’s like two different stories that clash for me. It makes me sad that our FMCs aren’t going home to the families they’re desperate for their whole lives and instead make new ones that keep them away. Maybe it’s personal preference of mine but it doesn’t seem realistic (as much as fantasy can be) from a character motivation angle to forget your 25 year mission to find your origin story and then just pass it up because of some ordinary MCs. I’ll read the third book just because I hope our girl will actually go back home and live there (though this author hasn’t done this in her other series in this universe). I’m hoping I’m wrong and I’m pleasantly surprised finally.

This second book in the Silverhold Detention Center for the Magically Delinquent by JB Trepagnier had a great deal of suspense and planning leading up to physical confrontations due to the actions being planned on multiple fronts by different villains and for different reasons. The sphinx, gargoyle, witch, and wolf guard were all trying to protect Rei, the Kitsune, or demon, from all attackers, even though only a couple of them knew what she really was. The characters are not fully developed as the characters in stories normally are, but just enough that the reader can see who or what each of them is, both physically and spiritually. There is also an implied reverse harem effect going on even though no sex is consummated between the multiple partners. When the action takes place, it is not described in vivid details, so there is no gore or guts for the reader to see. Instead, the author chose to use passive descriptive words for the magical battles and any blood that is spilled. There is definitely a good cliff-hanger for the ending that leads smoothly into what is presumed will be book three in the series which I would love to add to my TBR file ASAP. This book is amazing! Things are heating up in Silverhold and it's going to get even hotter! The chaos that starts with the murder of Astrid will get even worse when Rei is next on the list. Rei is still planning to escape with Rajack and Dakarys but soon they will add Wren to their plot. Rei will find out Faust thinks she's his mate, Wren will learn more about what Rei is and she will find her powers are increasing. A spell by Wren will have the witches unknowingly revealing their part in Astrid's death and their future plans. It will start a riot before the crew is ready to escape and it will add more problems for them. Rei's refusal to tell Faust, even once she knows about being his mate, will come back to bite them in the end when things don't go exactly as planned. Others are looking out for Rei, though, and are planning to get her back where she belongs before the Aether Circle can get to her.

Rei and the guys are plans for escape for now up in the air with what has happend. Rei gets a new cell mate might be the answer they are looking for. Rei realizes that she is growing closer to Faust. She is still thinking about what Hauser said to her. Rei will find out why Faust is so protective of her. Rei and the others find out just what Venus has been up to, decide to work that in their plan. Rei also will discover she has received a new power. Rei will listen to others in regards to Faust even though Hauser told her differently.

This was a good story that slowly builds to the their escape attempts. Will build the dynamics between the characters. Rei is going to have to make decisions that might not be the best. The way the it ended, can't wait to see what happens next.

I haven't read a book where the title perfectly reflected the book as a whole...this book did just that. Another piece of work that I loved. Nothing is more fun than reading about a character grow from "I Regret Nothing" to "Okay, I Regret a Little." Bad joke but I couldn't help it. I binge read this book like there was no tomorrow and I read it in a day. When you read it, you're left wanting to know what was going to happen next. Even in a supernatural prison, anything and everything can go wrong. This book has been one of the highlights of my month. Check out my blog post about the book if you want to read the rest of my thoughts on the book!

Rei is in Silverhold Detention Center for the Magically Delinquent for the next seven years - if she can survive! Astrid is killed, and Venus is out to kill Rei - as are many tohers! The aether court wants her dead, and although very few people know it, Rei is a Kitsune, and the magic rstricting hand cuffs have no effect on her. She is attracted to her two cell mates - and when Faust puts Wren in with them, she finds herself attracted to the witch as well. Faust thinks she is his matte - but something is brewing in hell that could see her dead. Will he be able to protect her? Why does her brother want her dead? Cant wait to read the next book! Cliff hanger ending.

The Plot Thickens...

The tension between Faust and Rei has thickens to near combustion, plus Rei adds Wren to her group, and things are going’s so well...until, well, they aren’t. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Wren and Rei - lots of quipped banter! I had a little trouble following the Sota story line - I’d read the first book, but this storyline is so disconnected from the prison storyline, with the only connection being Rei, it’s hard to know who’s who in the Hell storyline. I’m really enjoying this series, and I’m anxiously waiting for the next book - I need to know what comes next!!

So much fun! Rei is being targeted by Venus, who now leads the witches, although Wren, the witch assassin, is now on Rei’s side. Faust, the wolf shifter guard who is Rei’s mate, does his best to protect her and not get too jealous. And
Rajack and Dakarys, the sphinx and gargoyle shifters, continue planning their escape while getting closer and closer to Rei. Not to mention her (completely unknown) demon fiancé who is desperately chasing down her homicidal brother in hell so he can come get Rei and bring her safely home. This is the 2nd book in the author's Silverhold Detention Center for the Magically Delinquent series. This is a supernatural RH prison romance read and you definitely need to read the 1st book before diving into this one, and it's a really good one! I love this talented author every book I have read I have absolutely devoured and enjoyed and this series is no exception to that! I am anxiously awaiting the next book!!

One risky plan, and of course everything goes to hell. It was plenty of plotting, however not the best plotting in the world. I liked development in characters, but hated how careless they were. There was dynamic that did install itself between Rei and her “harem”, actually she have something special with each of them. Faust is going crazy, all wolf alpha about Rei. Little snippets from hell was nice addition. It was interesting read, however bit frustrating, still liked it.

Worth Reading!

I really like this series! The main character is quirky in a lovable way but also smart. All of her love interests are completely different which makes their dialogue fun to read. Faust is a complicated character but he is growing on me slowly. I also love how this series ties into Chaos and the Scorchwood series so crossover of characters is natural and not forced.

I absolutely love this book and cannot wait to see where the next book will take us. I fell right back in love wit Rei and her harem. You feel invested with everything that happens and feel every single thing that they do. I cannot believe how good these books are and will anxiously await the next in the series.

J B Trepagnier has done it again with this series. This story is about a character in another series. Rei is a Kitsune in prison for stealing from the biggest and worst coven of witches. She is also a demon and must find a way out. She makes friends with a gargoyle, a sphynx and a witch. This is the beginning of one of her great works. I can't wait to see what this leads to for out characters.

Grrrrrrrrr. Aggravating cliffhangers. Evil, evil cliffhangers. Rei is still such an amazing character. She learned more about herself in this book. Wren is becoming a favorite of mine. Her evil little ideas are wonderful. Faust is a more deeply kind of character then in the first book. I cant wait to read the next one of the series.

Rei is so fire!

The mischief. The varied love interests. The tails! I think I read this author is the wrong order because I started with this series. I am going to finish it but then I want to go back and read what went down at Scorchwood. An easy five stars. And a very fast paced easy read. Not as spicy as I usually read. In fact... zero spice. But still worth the read. Love the depth of characters. I want to know more about this fabulous world

But I regret nothing...

Well, things certainly went pear shaped in a hurry. Enjoying the heck out of these characters. Still more Rei focused, but more POVs have been added to the narrative. Loved Wren’s bit of revenge, and honestly, is Brody that stupid? Everything is about to hit the fan, and I can’t wait for the next (and final?) book to see how it all shakes out.

More Freakin Amazingness from JB Trepagnier!! This second installment of this series is Fan-freakin-tastic! The harem grows and the relationships blossom between all of them while their plans don’t go the way they want as they continue to plot their escape. OMG 😱...... that ending though! Beware the cliffy! I cannot wait to find out happens next! 💜🖤

Cliffhanger!!!

Yep, this one ends in a MAJOR cliff! I hate cliffhangers! Things are starting to spiral out of control and Rei and her friends need to escape like yesterday. There are some epic moments in this book that made me laugh out loud. It is definitely and edge of your seat ride. There were a few editing issues.

I liked this story, but please be aware that if you didn't read I Regret Nothing which was the first book of this series then you might feel clueless. I also recommend reading Ms. Trepagnier's Scorchwood Supernatural Penitentiary Series and her My Beautiful Monsters Series before you begin this one.
