I so enjoyed these stories of Amish life and love! I not only learned about Amish traditions, but the challenges of life and love in a more simple life. The challenges are not so different from the English way of life, but certainly they are portrayed in a well written and loving way. I am looking forward to reading more!
This was a sweet collection of novels. There's something gentle about the way Linda Byler tells her stories. My favourite of the 3 stories was the last one. I loved the second chance love story, and the way Annie and Dan chose to remember that God would give them strength and wisdom as they worked out the inevitable stops and starts of creating a blended family.
After reading several true crime books, I needed something lighter to read. This book did the trick. I enjoyed reading three different Christmas stories that fit the holiday season.
Wanted a light post Christmas read - it is three stories in one book. The first one (The Dog for After) was the most engaging. The other two were rather predictable. I am just not a “romance reader”, I guess. 😜
Linda Byler is an excellent writer. The three novels were very well written. They all show sorrow and happiness in different situations and how it was handled. I love reading about the Amish. Highly reccommend it.
