A meaningful story about a little girl who goes on a play date. She is accompanied by her Mom. The little boy she is visiting starts to cry when she plays with his toy. His Mom makes him feel better. It takes the little girl a while to get over it and they end being friends again.

It is well done. The 2 year old I read to loved it and kept turning back to the page where the boy was crying. We had a good conversation about sharing toys.

This book is part of the Lovevery collection. It is a well made book with realistic illustrations. Lovevery is especially good at conveying emotion through facial expressions and body language.

Update: 12/2023 - 2 years later this is still one of the most read books in our house!

I like how she’s excited at first go in into his house but I don’t like that his friend takes the car away from him, but at the end they have fun together in his friend gave the car back That’s why I rated it five stars

Jack received this book in his most recent Lovevery kit. We read it together this morning. He sat on my lap by the coffee table and cuddled in close. He was interested in the other kids and liked that they were playing with cars.
