"No matter how impossible something may seem, punching can help solve the problem."
This series is wayyyyy too much fun to read!
While I'm not a fan of the religious aspect that seems to be a central part of this next arc, the story is addictive to read! I LOVED how the previous arc wrapped up and how Prince Julius is really making his feelings known! (Though TBA on the jokes he always includes after saying something super romantic. LOL!) Not only that, but seeing how the overuse of divine blessings can impact someone's body, as it has done to Scarlet's, was fascinating! I know in one of the earlier volumes it was mentioned how she could die from overuse, but seeing the effects of that overuse in other tangible ways is not something I was expecting to see.
I don't want to talk much about it because of how huge a spoiler it is, but I will say that it was an incredible twist to see that this series DOES have some of the common villainess tropes! However, it's not in the way I thought it would be, and I'm curious as to how that is going to impact the story!
I am VERY bummed I do not have anymore volumes on hand (digitally) and am unable to get anymore (or that my library even has them) because this story has been such a gem to read and definitely added it to my physical license wishlist! Scarlet is such an incredible heroine that I have no doubts I would come back to this story often if it was printed! (I would like to think I would do it even digitally, but admittedly, I struggle to do that with the digital manga I already own. *cries*)
In the meantime, though, I'm going to be EAGERLY looking forward to new anime episodes and getting more volumes of the manga when I can! I need to know what's going to happen next, and seeing Scarlet's beautiful face when she's taking all the bad guys out! LOL!
it's starting to get a bit over-used? the part where Scarlet just pummels everything down I mean, ig it's also one of the things I don't particularly like about OP characters. Right now, Scarlet seems a bit omnipotent, there aren't any opponents that we see actually posing a threat to her, and everything seems a bit too easy. Even though her abilities have limitations, it doesn't make her seem any less omnipotent, rather, it makes her seem even more reckless and careless for her own health, and because she's very reckless, she leaves messes for others to clean up after. But the story is still engaging enough that I don't feel like reading it is a chore so it's alright.
anyways anyways the tutor scarlet had when she was younger is soooo COOL!! honestly the best male character in the series😭
Aww, jealous Nanaka. Felt like the calm before the storm with the religious war bubbling. Diana seems sweet, whilst the interloper shows her nasty side. I'm glad Scarlet is keeping the dragon. I don't trust the new guy.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Seems like the newly created religious group known as the Palmia Faith are plotting something nefarious with the 2nd princes former fiancé- Terenzza-pulling the strings behind the scenes.
Our young prince is the world's worst romantic interest! He runs the best conversations and swoon worthy moments with his ridiculous follow-ups. I can't tell if he's doing it on purpose to tease Scarlett or is that dumb lol. I'm any case, the banter is fun!
Next target for pummelling? Probably a lot of corrupt priests of vanity.
all she does is punch people and diana literally sucks. the two stars are for scarlet and julius.
time for my diana tangent: this girl needs to get punched in the face. she literally betrayed everyone because she has an inferiority complex and is a coward. if a dude who was older looking and ugly did that (ex: shrugged off responsibilities because he was afraid) scarlet would give him a good sock on the face. the only reason diana wasn’t arrested is because she’s precious to scarlet (which umm, hypocrisy) and the audience is supposed to be rooting for her. no.
Well, I might've enjoyed the read and the way the MC just punched everyone who's corrupt, greedy, and basically scumbags, but I've read all the plot narrative before. So, aside from the difference with a non-meek, non-submissive MC who punches, what else is there?
Note: It's like Prince Julius is the cool, savvy, political type (but leaves the legwork to Leo) and he brings Scarlet to places to be his attack dog.
