This is story 2 of 5 and the wait will be worth it. I read and enjoyed this author's other 5 book(short story) novel and loved the anticipation of the ending.
I loved this book as much as the first one. The writing flows so well that you cannot put the story down. Emma is an amazing character and her intuition is amazing. I can't wait to read the third story.
Emma writes murder mysteries for a living. Problems arise for her when the body of a woman who has been missing for ten years turns up - and it is her aunt! For reasons she does not understand, she is hauled in for questioning by the police, not only about that murder but for murders committed by someone known as 'the strangler'.
Emma is angry that she should be considered a suspect and decides to do a little sleuthing on her own and turn what she finds into a novel. It doesn't take too long before she gathers more evidence than the police.
I got so involved in this book that, when I suddenly came to the end, I was ready to throw my Kindle out the window! Marc Timms did it to me again. Got me so involved in the story line and then left me hanging. I hope it isn't too long before volume 3 comes out.
Quite the investigation to find the serial killer! So complicated. Love trying to solve this mystery. So many possibilities. So many pieces to the puzzle. Not sure how many more episodes, but I have to keep reading! Kudos to the author for this captivating mystery! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
The next chapter of the Forgotten continues to build suspense and throwing unexpected twists that you won't see coming. Emma has found out that one of the bodies found was her Aunt Pattie. This spurs her on to find out as much information as she can for her book and for her aunt. Each chapter leaves a cliffhanger to make you want more. I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest review.
What a thrilling read this is. Wonderful well fleshed out characters. Thrilling plot and story line that gripped me from the start. Great world building that adds so much to the story. Can't wait to read more from this author! Recommend reading.
The second installment of this series is just as good as the first. Twists and turns galore and the last page will leave you rushing to the computer to see when the next one comes out.
