When she set out to save her sister, she didn't know her entire world was about to change. After his brother and sister-in-law decided they no longer wanted to be in a threesome with him, Daniel McKenzie is determined to find a woman of his own. He's not looking for love or romance. He just wants a woman who is willing to be dominated and tortured by a sexual sadist. He doesn't think that's asking too much. After all, he plans to lavish the lucky woman with pleasure, and he's determined not to return to his ranch until he's found the perfect wife. Hope MacGregor is on a mission to rescue her sister, even if that means travelling all the way from San Francisco to Oregon on her own. It's not an easy task for a lady who is intent on protecting her virtue. But when she meets Daniel, he tempts her to discover a whole new realm of passion and pleasure. If she's willing to take a chance, he will do more than escort her safely to Oregon. He will fulfill her darkest desires while leaving her virginity intact. Daniel teaches her all about dominance and submission, pain and pleasure. As they travel six hundred miles together, he turns her from a prim and proper virgin into a temptress who is willing to satisfy all his appetites. But when secrets from his past emerge, they threaten to destroy their happy future. Can Daniel win Hope's heart and regain her trust, or will he lose her forever? Although this is book four in the Return to The McKenzies series, it can be read as a standalone. Publisher's This steamy historical romance contains graphic scenes and a theme of power exchange. If this is offensive to you, please do not read the book.
Hope MacGregor, was looking for her sister, Faith and needed to travel to Oregon to find her. Hope and Faith were very close as sisters and would do anything form each other. On her journey, she is rescued by Daniel MacKensie, a handsome man who has particular requirements from his partner. Hope and Daniel are attracted to each other but could they mean so much more to each other. This story told of how they discovered if the were compatible in every way. There are also a few surprises when they reach their destination. This was certainly a hot and steamy read but very entertaining. I received a copy via Booksprout and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Hope and Faith are sisters who live in San Francisco and are struggling to survive. Hope is sent back east to study to become a teacher and Faith sells herself in a brothel to pay for it. Faith marries and moves to Oregon and when hope gets back, she sets out to find her. She meets Daniel and sparks fly. Fast-paced read with loads of drama, intense chemistry and steam. I liked it.
Ms. Coppersmith can tell a good love story and talently weave emotions into sex scenes in her work. Should you read any of the original McKenzie brothers stories (Aidan, Brian, and Liam), or Marrying for Money, you will find out so for yourself. I have had the privilege to read her work in another platform a while back ago, and she has delivered memorable scenes exploring the boundaries of consent, dominance, and submission. And it is just fine, because we often think sex is love, and because physical intimacy is a fundamental way humans connect.
There are a lot of sex scenes and they are well-written and directed; the problem is that each reads better than the actual story. You can read Hope and Daniel's story as a stand alone, you can read it as a sequel to (Their Soiled Dove) Eric and Faith's (and Daniel's) story. You can also read about Hope and Daniel first and read the prequel after; however, the twist at the end after makes one of the major plot lines in Their Soiled Dove meaningless. Changing your mind once about an idea, or a person is ok. Changing your mind twice is not. And three out four main characters changed their mind twice.
Makes it very hard to imagine how the arrangement between them will work, especially when the visit to the doctor suggested (or foreshadowed, should the author deal with more McKenzie storylines in the future) that extended family members will be involved.
That being said, if you don't mind the plot issues, or are not convinced that the characters will manage after all the self-confessed heartache, the sex scenes are passionate and hot; if you enjoy BDSM fantasies played out by people who care for each other, these the exact scenarios you would like to see.
Loved the story. It is about two brothers (Eric & Daniel) who share everything even women and two sisters (Faith & Hope) who are destitute after their parents death. Faith, who makes a major sacrifice so Hope can go to an aunt in Philadelphia, meets Eric in a brothel where she is selling her virginity to the highest bidder. Eric wins the bid, pays off Faith’s debt to the madam and claims her for his own to share with Daniel and they return home to Oregon. Tension builds, Daniel leaves and along the way to San Francisco he saves a woman being harassed by three men. From here the story mainly deals with the developing relationship between Hope and Daniel, as he escorts her to Oregon. Eventually he realizes that she is the one that he wants to marry but he is unsure if she can totally submit to his intense sexual desires. Once in Oregon, there are major surprises that puts a strain on the relationship between brothers and sisters but Hope has a plan that will hopefully alleviate the issues. The story is well written, entertaining and holds your attention. The writing is very descriptive and graphic which makes it easy to visualize what is happening in the story. This is a great story that I would highly recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and are voluntarily leaving a review.
Hope and Faith are two sisters in San Francisco who were orphaned and are struggling to survive. Faith offers to become a whore in order to get the money to send Hope to the east coast to be trained as a teacher – and while Hope is gone, Faith meets and marries Eric McKenzie, and moves to his farm in Oregon. Hope returns, learns her sister is in Oregon and sets out to see her and be sure she is ok. Along the way, she is rescued from potential rape by Eric’s twin brother, Daniel, and the two continue on the way to Oregon. An extremely passionate love affair develops between them – and because Daniel is a sadist and Hope is a masochist, their relationship includes a lot of consensual BDSM activities. The arrival in Oregon and the meeting with Hope’s sister and Daniel’s brother leads to a lot of problems that ultimately get resolved – along with a lot more loving and very imaginative loving by both couples. I liked all the characters – strong, humorous, and intelligent, and the story moved along smoothly and was fun to read. This is a very well written book but I did find the sex scenes a bit much. You really have to suspend your disbelief to accept that this guy would have things like nipple clamps in his bag and that he would think of having safe words. There may have been people who practiced bdsm in the old west but after a while I just found it too much. He was so rough and there were so many sex scenes that I had a really difficult time finishing this book which is very rare for me. I suspect that the writer Lynn Coppersmith had the hero worry to himself that he was too much for any woman to explain the intensity of the sex scenes but I found there were too many and when another one came up I just skipped forward. If on the other hand you like very intense books with lots of rough sex and you don’t mind a few plot holes then you will probably enjoy this book.

If i thought that Faiths story was great to read, then her sisters story was even better in my opinion. And whats even better is that the HEA was something i really didnt see coming at all, and i loved it. Hope was sent away to her Aunts place in hope for a better future, but it wasnt what she wanted, so she managed to save some money to go back and see her sister, but to her dismay she wasnt where she last saw her, in fact she was happily married. Determined to find her sister she sets of on the journey by herself. However she is accosted by men who want to do her more than harm and is saved by Daniel Mackenzie who offers to take her to Oregon. Both are instantly attracted to each other, but Hope soon comes around to what they both want. A Sadiest and a Machoist, a story that has some great scenes. This story has to be one of my favourites, and i thought Faiths story was really good but this one tops everything. 5 plus plus stars for a terriffic story that i couldnt get enough of.
This is the next installment of the McKenzies. We met Daniel in the last book. He is the identical twin that shared with Eric and Faith. Daniel meets up with Hope, Faith's little sister, and they have instant attraction. Daniel is like Eric in that he is a sadist. Luckily, Hope is a submissive masochist. They have a HEA in a way that I didn't see coming. I will warn you that this is a intense book with punishments. Hope does consent (she has a safeword). I really enjoyed reading about the interaction between Daniel and Hope. I'm hoping that this series doesn't end here.

Looking for a steamy western well here it is. In the first book, we had Faith’s story and this one is about her sister Hope. Hope is not happy about what Faith did so returns from back east only to find Faith married and has moved to Oregon. Now Hope sets out to travel to Oregon from California and wouldn’t you know it she runs into trouble. This is when Daniel comes into the picture. This is not a sweet historical western gang it is a steamy and taboo erotic. For the most part, I enjoyed the piece the chapter was a bit much but I liked the characters and it ended well. When I read the book about Eric and Faith, I was heartbroken for Daniel. I was so glad to see this addition. Daniel meets Hope but you can tell that he is hesitant to believe he has found a woman he can share his desires with. The dynamic of this story where two people are learning to be sexually free and secure in their own personal lives, is a great story. I especially enjoyed the ending where Faith, Hope, Eric, and Daniel all come back together. This book has a wonderful happy ending and I really enjoyed reading it.

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. This book of Daniel and Hope was intriguing, Daniel wants someone to share his sexualising desires when he meets Hope who is travelling to find her sister. This book had me so excited, I was on the edge of my seat, with the twist, hot and steamy, pleasure and pain, dominance/ submission and lust could there be love considering Daniel does not want a relationship.

I had no idea there was so much sadism in the old west. This is an interesting story with lots of heat. If you are looking for a realistic historical romance- you may need to keep looking. If you want spicy erotica with lots of pain, this is right up your dark alley.

Loved this book more than the first one, didn't think I could. Brothers, twins with kinky leanings searching and finding love. With untouched sisters that never new about kink, but find it to there liking. Strong bonds and family ties.

The fourth book in the Return to the McKenzies series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Daniel McKenzie and Hope MacGregor's story mainly but also his twin brother Eric and her sister Faith's story. There is spanking, and sharing this is a steamy, taboo story. A wonderfully written story that has elements of BDSM. I loved how the author allowed each character to shine in their own story than intertwined them together to create some conflict and drama. I was captivated by the extreme nature of the story through the author’s very descriptive words which brought the story to life.
I requested a copy of this book so I could provide an honest review.
I loved Hope and Daniel and their journey to HEA. A steamy hot romance that still manages to twist and turn. My first read of a book by this order and I look forward to more.
