Her magical powers might have saved Aisha, but now they’ve put her in danger.
Torn away from the supernatural creatures she’s come to love, she finds herself in the hands of a powerful witch, Nyzetta. Nyzetta wants Aisha’s powers for herself and doesn’t care if she destroys everyone and everything to get what she desires.
Through the help of some sexy Fae males, she wrings Aisha’s power from her.
But power isn’t the only thing Nyzetta is after. The witch has history with Aisha’s mates and she’s more than happy to use Aisha to punish them.
I'm a UK based author who loves to read and write all things romance. As Skye Jones I write steamy paranormal romance that ranges from light and fun to dark and gritty.
As S.R. Jones I write darker contemporary romance and romantic suspense.
I live in Yorkshire, and get lots of inspiration from the windswept moors, the old stone buildings and the Celtic myths of this fair isle.
My dogs are my favourite people, and I'm quite fond of my husband too. I love chocolate and starbucks mochas and keep meaning to give them up for a life as a svelte fashion plate - it never happens!
This last book was by far my last favorite. The one thing I thought the series had going for it was all the sex and kinky shit. This time around the dreaded witch wants Aisha’s power so she manipulates the heroine using sex. What’s worse is she uses Fae at her beck and call to arouse the heroine and it just felt wrong and dirty. Also kinda lame this super powerful old witch has to get other witches aroused to steal their power 🤦🏽♀️ I just wanted more from the story and even the epilogue didn’t make things better 🫤
Fierce Light is the final story of these wonderful characters. Aisha’s journey has been long and at times difficult. Aisha has also found the love of her life times five, they just happen to be monsters. But when she needs them the most they are right there for her and will do anything to save her. Before everyone can have a happy ending they must save themselves. This last book is a fast pasted story that keeps you going until the very end. I would deferentially recommend this series to anyone that loves drama with some alpha men!
Fantastic series! I’ve been in a mood for weeks not being able to find a good enough book to read and keep my interest. I didn’t think this dark paranormal RH would be the one to get me back in the game but it did and I enjoyed every book.
The Pit. Your brought there when your very young, you don’t remember where you come from Everybody who lives there have all come from somewhere but nobody knows There are these ugly horrible monsters that the people call the keepers They protect the pit but they also feed on you if your one of the weak ones or become hurt These keepers are a vampire but the ones that belong at the bottom of the vampire family. They are blood thirsty monsters who just crave blood. Which brings us back to the pit and why is it called the pit with these monsters in the back ground waiting for a weak human or a injuries human so they can feed on them.
It’s starts off with a young female named Aisha She’s been in the pit for the last 15 years or so See the pit is nothing but a little village if you can call it that People of all ages but mainly women and lot are under 18 years old There is a few elders that have stayed in the pit who were never chosen and are there to help with the young ones mainly Aisha explains that once they hit a certain age they are thought they are mature enough for when they are taken from the pit to where they chosen to go Nobody knows where they go and why All they know is from when they arrive at the pit they are fed barely any kind of food and it’s nothing if anything that they are given They are brought up on a few berries and what not Some this isn’t enough and they become weak to the point where they could die at any moment which brings us back to why the keepers come in and will take that weak human and feed from their blood till they are drained Aisha knows it’ll soon be her time to leave the pit as she has been given fresh fruit, meats and bread
One evening she is woken up by one of the keepers or so she thinks it’s one till she realises he is more of a man and he’s built and sexy He takes her from where she was a sleep and takes her into his body and then with some power he make a huge jump and takes them over the mountain and far away with speed she never knew was possible
This is where Aisha learns that she has been taken by the King Vampire and he wants her for her blood type She’s rare And she learns that pit is like a nursery for the humans to grow up ready to ripen for the vampires who bring these humans into their life’s where the vampires will feed from the humans but ends up being more than just a feeding relationship and more like a brothel lol
Anyway in this series our Aisha gets to learn more about life beyond the pit She learns there are more supernatural beings in this world and a few of those beings meaning something to her With that said she aims to go back to the pit to save her friends who have become family.
Join her journey of learning about herself, others around her, the danger and adventures she gets herself into With a lot of hot steamy sex!
Aisha' character never grew on me. I could never figure out exactly who she was because she seemed bipolar. One minute she seemed strong and ready to fight, and the next she was a sniveling weak fool. In this final book Aisha has been taken by the big bad villain. A witch named Nyzetta. I had such a hard time getting through this part of the story because the villain made no sense. She's hundreds of years old, but she acts like a middle school student. I mean, the whole "baby witch" made me want to scream every time it was said! Seriously? That's the best name she could come up with? Also, I never got why she had to use the fae to get Aisha power. So they enjoy sex...how does that help Nyzetta get power? Is it because she doesn't have to touch Aisha herself? How was Nyzetta able to get other witches power in the past without using the fae? It should be noted that Aisha is basically forced into sexual encounters with the fae and readers should have been warned that she was basically raped for Nyzetta to get her power. That being said, the whole scenario of Aisha and the fae is cringe inducing. Nyzetta uses her powers to lock Aisha to the wall spread eagled. The fae start having an orgy in front of Aisha and Aisha is so turned on that she can't stand it and was willing to let them touch her so she could come. Now, I don't know about any of you other readers, but if I'm kidnapped, held against my will, and locked to a wall, I am not going to be turned on by anything you put in front of me. I'm definitely not going to wish for people I don't even know to touch me. That whole scene seemed to be written by a man. I'm not saying a woman can't be turned on by watching an orgy, but I can pretty much guarantee that in that particular situation, a woman wouldn't be turned on. Men are more visual beings and that's why porn works for them. Women usually like romance and to feel a connection before being turned on. That whole scene irritated me. Later, the authors have Nyzetta tie Aisha to a bed, naked and spread out, and allow the fae to physically touch Aisha. In that case I can accept that biology could take over. But, the authors correct the problem by saying that there was magic that forced Aisha to comply. Still, she's being raped.
Once Aisha gets saved, one if her guys gets mortally wounded. This is a scene where I wanted to punch Aisha. She wants to help, so she has to get permission from Logan? "I want to do it Logan," I begged. "You have to let me...." Um, can I just tell you how weak she has to be to feel like she needs to BEG to help save one of her guys! I just wanted to smack her!
I guess that what I'm getting at is that I barely made it through this series. I think the plot had potential, but it was put together in a way that you never relate to the characters. If you can't relate to the characters then you don't care about their lot in life. I really don't understand the 4-5 star ratings. Maybe my expectations are too high, but this series was a waste of time.
I have to say I am happy I am done with this series. It was an okay series to read. It's not something I am ever going to personally recommend to anybody. I hope there are readers out there that love it. For me it was all just anticlimactic. I was expecting more then what I actually got from the series. Not the authors fault. This just might be a case of not my cup of tea. I know I probably came across harsh on my reviews of this series. My problem is I am an honest person and I don't know any other way to be. No idea how to soften the truth while still saying the truth.
The funny thing is... I have read both of these authors works individually and loved it. Which is why I bought this series to begin with. I have no idea why this series didn't work for me. Other then it just didn't. Or saying not my cup of tea, which feels wrong. Because the truth is.. this type of book is my jam and it should have worked for me.
I dunno. So many positive reviews about this series in general but I personally found it kind of predictable. I also didn't really connect with the characters.
The overall non-con vibe of the story should probably have been mentioned in the form of a trigger warning at the start as well. If you're triggered by kidnapping, non-con, and stockholm syndrome vibes this is NOT the series for you.
Honestly the book started off pretty good. Aisha was taken and then the men all had to work together which was as perfect for the storyline of them all being her ‘mate’.
However the last few chapters were incredibly rushed. Suddenly this fae breeches the walls of powerful beings and kills Aisha in seconds, which seems ridiculous after everything that has happened in the previous books. And the Gideon suddenly changed back to his previous angel form and is given the power to resurrect and voila she’s alive and everyone is happy and healthy.
I feel the end was rushed just to bring it all together and wasn’t planned very well.
Although the end was a bit of a let down, I did thoroughly enjoy the entire series as a whole and I’m very glad I got the edition of all four combined.

This is an exciting conclusion to this fantastical dark romance. It’s been an amazing roller coaster ride as we have witnessed Aisha’s journey with the men whose lives she’s irrevocably changed. Who would have thought mortal enemies could form such a strong, mutually beneficial alliance to rescue one small, yet powerful, female? But will they rescue her in time, and will their plans be strong enough to defeat the black witch? Intense passion plays a major part in this final episode along with moments of darkly intriguing drama and some surprising twists. This is a captivating end to what has been a very passionate tale and definitely worth the wait.
I found the plot to thwart Nyzetta’s plans for Aisha, to be quite clever and well executed. There was a lot of introspection and internal dialogue from Aisha in this installment that became a bit much for me after a while. I did enjoy how this series ended though – not easy, with a shiny bow tying all things up, but with an unexpected twist yielding some surprising results. The story is a quick read with some drama, conflict, magic, humour and snark along with explicit M/F sex including shifter-style knotting and some M/F/M and M/M scenes.

This was a good enjoyable finale to this series, the storyline kept me engage until the end. It was quite a quick read, that was fairly light and easy to read. Not too heavy on suspense or drama, but with a bit. It is very heavy on the steamy stuff to the detriment of the storyline a bit, where some of the depth was maybe lacking. But if that what you are looking for, I'm sure you will enjoy. It is part of a series so you need to have read the previous books. It was written in the strange mix of styles which I suspect is due to mixed author writing, with one character being in 1st person and other characters being in 3rd person, which is the same throughout the series.
This is an exciting, intense, and action-packed conclusion to the epic fantasy series Wicked Monsters. Aisha has her five mates, but things are far from quiet. When an evil witch kidnaps Aisha to steal her power, her 'monsters' will have to work together to save her. This final book wraps up loose ends and gives a very satisfactory conclusion. I have really enjoyed this series and the characters. It has been one intense, suspenseful, passionate thrill-ride, and I am sorry to say good-bye, but glad for everyone's HEA.

Title: Fierce Light Author: Marissa Farrar, Skye Jones Format: Ebook Genre: Romance, RH w/MM, Paranormal (Vampires, werewolves, gargoyles, demons, witches) Standalone: Nope - Need to read the first three first Part of a Series: Book 4 of Wicked Monsters POV: Aisha, Gideon, Dashiell, Logan, Ezra, Jaxson Steam Level: Hot 4/5
Fierce Light starts right where Enchanted Dusk ends and is the climactic conclusion to this series. . In Fierce Light the guys have to work together to save Aisha, building trust and forming stronger bonds. Fierce Light is a great ending to this series which itself is a fabulous journey.
So, I managed to read this whole series. I think I deserve an award. So, does anyone else who made it through this drek. It was…not good. The final random plot event was both predictable and poorly done. It was just more people who wanted Aisha’s magic pussy. I got so tired of it.
And look, porn without plot books are a thing and I’m not knocking it. But this didn’t read like that. This felt like the authors (two of them) were trying to write porn with plot and just failing miserably. The dialogue too seemed to get cheesier and cheesier the farther into the series I got, until it felt like full on Stilton here.
Aisha is stolen from her vampire, gargoyle and wolves by a very strong witch who wants to steal her powers. Aisha and the reader will like each of “her” men – but can they work together to free her in time?
The strength of each member of her group will be necessary to pull this off. We are treated to more magic and these men coming together to rescue the one they do not want to live without.
I’ve enjoyed this entire series, and this story was an excellent finale to wrap it all up.
**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**
Aisha is torn away from the vampire, gargoyle and wolves she loves by a powerful witch who is determined to get Aisha’s powers for herself. Through the help of some Fae, will she be able to extract Aisha’s power from her? Can her guys rescue her in time to defeat the evil Nyzetta? With Nyzetta’s past history with Aisha’s mates, will she use Aisha as a means to retaliate against them?
Grab your copy for the exciting conclusion. There is non-stop action as the final battle takes place to free Aisha from the witch. Who will win? Who will survive?
Fierce Light is the fourth and final book in the Wicked Monsters series and I definitely recommend you read the first three books in the series otherwise you will be lost. Aisha is taken from her men by Nyzetta a powerful witch who has a past with Aisha's mates. They are working together to get Aisha back and go through a lot along the way. This is a fast paced story that is action packed and filled with suspense, danger, drama, and twists that pulled me into the story and held my attention from beginning to end. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Wow!! What an imagination this author has to have written this series of books!
I read this book as part of a box set of the four books and it was just superb, it was the fourth and final book in the series and I loved it from cover to cover.

I loved everything about this 4th book. The story held suspense, heat, joy, pain and adoration for the wonderful job the authors put forth. My heartbeat sped up with anticipation and I just did not want this eclectic cast of characters and their story to end. I will say that it went beyond my hopes and was so enjoyable. I can recommend to anyone with an open mind and who enjoys some kink.😉
First let me state that I received an advanced reader copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
Holy shiznet!!! What a gr8 way to end this series. Aisha is captured by Nyzetta, the evil witch and the guys are out to save her. She and Ezra still want to free the people from the pit. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
The final book in the Wicked Monsters series. A fierce battle is about to be fought. There is a light at the end of the tunnel but will is save them or burn them?
Check out my blog post to read my full thoughts on the book!
Fourth and last book in this amazing paranormal series. The series starts of slow burn but by the last book it is insanely hot. The action and danger increase just as much. Who is evil and what is evil? So many amazing twists that will lead you on a wonderful chase. I love all the characters as each is so uniform the next.
Really enjoyed this action packed adventure filled with witty and engaging charters, heart racing twists and emotionally thrilling passion. Emotionally thrilling journey from begging to end and so hard to put down.
Rating the series as a whole as I read them straight through. Books were not stand alone - felt like they had to read together. Overall liked the series - the men were good and main character was likable. Team Gideon.
Five stars for the satisfying conclusion to this unexpectedly entertaining series. I discovered it through Kindle Unlimited and what a wonderful treat it was. I enjoyed every minute of my Wicked Monsters back-to-back binge.
This lively paranormal romance was filled with interesting, dynamic characters and a captivating storyline that occasionally singed the pages. Good Read
