For being 18 pages and for babies, this is surprisingly well-plotted. There is a little animal info, a bit of story with mild (not too scary for babies) tension, and a happy resolution.

I love this story about the pulling away and coming back of children as they grow up.

I like nature books that are not overly anthropomorphized. My 2.5 year old liked this one.
