I loved going back to Heart's Landing . I really loved being invited to the wedding of the year. How in the world can you put an entire weeding together in one week? You have to read this sweet romance to find out.
All the Hallmark feels with this gem.
I gave this 4 stars and I hope that you read the whole series.

I hate when I see reviews with ‘reads like a Hallmark movie,’ but THIS could easily be turned into a Hallmark movie and oh yeah, it’s published by Hallmark publishing. So if you’ve seen any Hallmark films, add in a wedding plot, throw in a dash of competition and voila! There you have it.

This was cute. It was sweet. Not really second chance, more like two people who grew up totally crushing on one another who never knew it..finally having their moment in the midst of competing with one another to give another couple a perfect wedding.

Wow! Leigh Duncan has outdone herself with the third Heart’s Landing book. I can’t remember when I’ve enjoyed a short romance so much. A Waterfront Wedding is a beautifully crafted story with realistic characters facing real problems in a fairytale setting. If you read only one romance this year, make it A Waterfront Wedding.

Audiobook, narrated by Karissa Vacker. She did a great job and I highly recommend listening to this.
This was a delightful, fun, perfect world, clean romance. This beautiful historic town is known for its charming shops and wedding venue. The whole town was a happily ever after dream come true. I wish my husband and I could visit this place, we’d honestly probably move there. If Hallmark was a place then it would here.
The story is about a magazine picking one engaged couple who win a free wedding with all the perks. They are lead through every step and it was every brides dream.
Some of my friends would call this cheesy but I like to think of it has a perfect world scenario.
Thanks to Dreamscape Media via Netgalley for this. I’m voluntarily leaving my review.

Heart's Landing is the perfect spot to have a wedding, but there is only one main venue, The Captain's Cottage. Ryan Court, who used to live in Heart's Landing years ago, has returned home. He purchased an abandoned boat factory and is turning it into an event venue called The Boat Works. When the winners of Wedding Today’s Wedding in a Week annual contest, Briana Smith and Private First-Class Daniel Johnston arrive in Heart's Landing, they have a lot of decisions to make, including which venue they want to have their wedding at. Ryan is quite surprised by the selection of The Boat Works since he did not even enter into the competition, because he was concerned that it might not be ready in time and did not have the entrance fee, but he really wants to hold this wedding there. Fortunately the magic of Heart's Landing is in play because there seems to be one issue and disaster after another to derail the wedding. While all this is going on, Evelyn, Jason's cousin and co-owner of The Captain's Cottage is falling in love with Ryan, the boy she loved in high school. Can competitors have a relationship? Once again, I enjoyed the characters in this book. Leigh Duncan writes wonderful stories with great characters, setting and plots. This is the third book in this series and I have enjoyed them all. If you like a fun, clean romance with some angst, then I recommend you pick this one up. These books do not need to be read in order, but I recommend you do as they are all quite enjoyable. The audiobook was narrated by Karissa Vacker. She has narrated all three of the books in this series and has done a good job. She has a pleasant voice, great expression and tone. The male voices are differentiated using tone and inflection, but they are not as male sounding as I would like. Overall, this was an enjoyable audiobook that I recommend. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of the book upon request. The rating and opinions shared are my own.

Adapt and overcome—Oorah!

It’s all about the wedding in Leigh Duncan’s enjoyable “A Waterfront Wedding.” The third and final book in her Heart’s Landing series, Duncan’s dual romance, of sorts here, bobs well two waterfront stories in the town of perfect weddings. One: Evelyn Heart, a feisty redhead questioning her stay in life, teamed with aw-shucks, somewhat old school carpenter Ryan Court; the other: Marine Daniel Johnston and his orphaned, allergy-prone bride Brianna Smith, who have won the wedding-day package of their lives.

The Captain’s Cottage is “America’s Top Wedding Destination,” according to the ever-popular “Weddings Today” magazine. And that’s the way all-in-charge Evelyn needs it to stay—as her cousin Jason and his new bride Tara honeymoon for a month away from running Captain’s Cottage. But with Ryan—Evelyn’s childhood friend—in the mix with his Boat Works restoration, and hopes for it to become a Heart’s Landing waterfront wedding venue, the competition between them begins. And as Evelyn and Ryan escort “Wedding-in-a-Week” winners Daniel and Brianna about town, helping them prepare it, hearts question, pitter-patter, and flip-flop.

Duncan serves up a delicious piece of cake to both couples in the story department here. From misconceptions to realization, revelations to unforeseen events, her paths for these characters to HEAs are both entertaining and memorable. From birdhouses to pearls, Duncan knows how to best incorporate something old, new, borrowed, and blue to bring about a wedding tale that draws in a reader.

Still, Heart’s Landing is a “perfect town,” with “perfect townsfolk.” That was a bit much to accept the whole book through. I also felt as though this story’s time period was the 1800’s, rather than present day—because of “all the constant happy, togetherness, cutesy, and perfection.”

But Duncan is always unpredictable, for the good. That’s how I hadn’t seen coming the rain and thundering from the heavens for story benefit. And, to her credit, Duncan masters massaging the unbelievable into the believable in this story, and truly wins your heart.

Told in a style all her own, Duncan’s narrative, descriptive prose overflow on the pages. This feel-good, wedding-made-perfect romance is a don’t-miss read. A delightful novel worthy to be a part of any gift bag for wedding participants.

"A Waterfront Wedding" offers a return to Heart's Landing--the quaint little Rhode Island town where hearts find each other and wedding dreams come true. Author Leigh Duncan's beautifully-descriptive writing, interesting characters, and involving story lines ensure a real reader's treat for lovers of contemporary romance. The characters learn about themselves as they learn about each other. They grow as individuals as they grow closer together as a couple. Evelyn Heart has stepped up to manage The Captain's Cottage, a premier wedding venue, while the operations manager, her cousin Jason, is on his honeymoon. The annual "Wedding-in-a-WeeK" contest sponsored by "Weddings Today" magazine is won by a Marine and his bride-to be, who will have to choose between The Captain's Cottage and a new competitor, The Boat Works. Ryan Court, a friend since childhood of Jason and Evelyn, and a natural-born carpenter, had done an impressive job of restoring the boatworks in just over a year's time. He had put his heart and soul, and his life's savings into the project, and he very much needed to win the competition. As the competition becomes more intense, sparks fly between Evelyn and Ryan--but can rivalry lead to romance? I loved coming back to Heart's Landing--my own romantic imagination is captured by the legend of the town's founder, seafaring Captain Thaddeus Heart, and his own love story. Readers will also enjoy the first two books in the series, "A Simple Wedding" and "A Cottage Wedding".

This was a super cute hallmark movie-esk book! It wasn’t as cheesy as I thought it was going to be which made me love it even more. The beginning was a bit slow but the rest of it I loved. I can’t wait to read more by this author about hearts landing!

I listened to the audio book version of A Waterfront Wedding and was very impressed! First of all, the narrator, Karissa Vacker, did a fabulous job of doing both the female and the male voices. I had to double check to make sure that this wasn’t a male/female team doing the narration. Very nice!

The story was sweet and such a joy to listen to. Even though this is book three in the Heart’s Landing series, I had no trouble jumping in and getting to know the town that was so full of romantic history and the people who were eager to present each bride with her perfect wedding day.

I loved listening as Evelyn and Ryan got their chance at love while working to make the bride and groom’s dreams come true. Childhood friends who drifted apart, Evelyn and Ryan were very likable characters. It was interesting to watch them work together while they also both hoped that their venue would be chosen as the wedding location for the contest. They had good romantic chemistry.

This story left me with a happy and uplifted feeling and I felt as if I had truly journeyed to this special small town on the coast.

Romance, contemporary, clean; Series, but stand alone read
I'm loving this series more each one I read. I love the genuine, honest hearts that are the main characters, and the people in the town, the couples getting married, just so beautifully drawn. Definitely sweet romance, and while it's a bit predictable, still this was so well described, the moments, the cares and concerns of the couples, their traumas, their dreams and heartaches. Sweet, fun, definitely fun to see the wedding portion of the book as the brides and grooms choose their Wedding in a Week moment. A perfect, light read with the caring hard working community. Wish we could all live in Hearts Landing!
Ryan and Evelyn's story, their deepening devotion to each other, and re-connection in the present after their childhood growing up together, was a lovely novel. The setting with the contest was fun, and spotlighted many other businesses and characters. Ryan's redo of the Boat Works makes for a fun contrast to the Captains Cottage. The couple spotlighted as chosen for the contest wedding, the mishaps, it all added up to fun, sweet, romantic read.

So, let's start off - I want to live in Heart's Landing. The picturesque town sounds so lovely. But, the review...

In this third book of the series, Evelyn wants the Captain's Cottage she is managing to be THE desitnation place for weddings. Then there is Ryan, former marine, and he has a location that he wants to be THE place. There is a contest that has been set up to see who gets the location. Called, Wedding in a Week, giving both of them exactly one week to create the perfect romantic wedding. Not only will the winner get the location, but as an article will be written up in a magazine, an influx of clients just might be had as well.

With a bride and groom on the scene, who will impress them more, Evelyn or Ryan? Just one winner. The contest is complicated by the powerful attraction to one another that they both seem powerless to resist. I loved listening to this engaging story and the narrator Karissa Vacker did a fine job, which made a wonderful story that much better.

What a delightful story! I loved everything there was about this book.

Many thanks to Hallmark Publishing and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

A Waterfront Wedding ( Heart’s Landing #3 )
By: Leigh Duncan
A Waterfront Wedding is book three in the series Heart’s Landing. Ms. Duncan has did it again, it seem that each book is better and better. Loved the story and the characters, both are well written and well developed. A young couple wins the Wedding in a Week contest. The wedding will take place in a small town known as America’s top wedding destination. There are two different places in the run to have the wedding at their place. Can either of them plan a wedding in one week? Who will the young Marine and his bride to be choose?
I was given a complimentary copy of this book, but was not told that I had to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Oh my goodness! This was so stinking cute! That is what I kept thinking as I was listening to this. I kept thinking I was listening to a Hallmark movie and low and behold it was a Hallmark release! Evelyn is a bookkeeper for Captain's Cottage, her cousin's resort, and Ryan who is Jason's best friend, has come home and refurbished the boatworks and made it into a wedding destination. Now both venues are competing for Wedding In A Week. So much fun in this story surrounding these two and the happy couple who want a military wedding. Will Evelyn and Ryan who are slowly becoming acquainted again survive the competition when one wins the wedding?

If you enjoy small town romances, you will definitely want to read this amazing story. Evelyn and Ryan were friends, but they grew apart. They each had secret crushes, but never did anything about them. When they’re tasked to work with the bridal couple that won the Wedding in a Week contest, will they reconnect or will their rivalry to have their wedding venue chosen as the winner end things? I highly recommend this fantastic read and I’m looking forward to reading more books from this author and Hallmark.

Sweet, subtle and simply irresistible! With the third and final book in her always enjoyable Heart's Landing series Leigh Duncan brings wedding joy to life in A WATERFRONT WEDDING and I enjoyed it a lot. I feel like it wasn't as much as a stand-alone as the previous books in the series as it felt like we had to already know some of the characters to follow along with the story, and I wanted more relationship development between the hero and heroine. The contest and town as a whole was delightful, but their relationship didn't have much time to blossom. I really enjoyed this series and recommend it to small town sweet romance lovers.

A Waterfront Wedding by Leigh Duncan is everything you would want in a love story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this amazing story. Leigh Duncan has once again written an incredible story with wonderful characters and the beautiful Heart’s Landing setting. I enjoy all the love cliches that she intersperses throughout the story. I love how the different parts of the chapters are written from the perspective of the main characters; I love seeing things from both of their viewpoints. A Waterfront Wedding is the third book in the Heart's Landing series and I enjoyed it just as much as I did the other books in the series. I love how Leigh Duncan takes women who are dreamers and intermediaries, and changes them into stronger women than they were before. I love the metamorphosis of Evelyn in A Waterfront Wedding. I love all the descriptions of all the places in Heart's Landing. A Waterfront Wedding is the story of Ryan Court, carpenter and owner of the newly renovated The Boat Works and Evelyn Heart, bookkeeper at the Captain’s Cottage and cousin to Jason. Growing up Ryan and Jason were best friends and Evelyn would always spend time with them. Things changed when Ryan and Jason entered high school. Ryan and Evelyn grew up together in Heart’s Landing, each of them has had feeling for the other even though neither one ever gave into their feelings or reveals their true feelings to the other. Evelyn has had added responsibility at Captain’s Cottage while Jason and Tara on are their month-long honeymoon. One of those responsibilities is assisting the couple, Briana Smith and Private First-Class Daniel Johnston in Wedding Today’s Wedding in a Week. The two wedding venues selected are Captain’s Cottage and The Boat Works. Ryan is quite surprised by the selection of The Boat Works since he did not even enter into the competition, because he was concerned that it might not be ready in time and did not have the entrance fee. I loved when it was revealed who paid the registration fee for Ryan. Since Brianna and Daniel are on the younger side, and are alone in Heart’s Landing, it is suggested that Evelyn and Ryan to assist the couple with the process. The livelihoods of everyone in Heart's Landing relies upon a perfect Wedding in a Week for the chosen couple. Brianna and Daniel are having their own issues regarding their wedding and Evelyn and Ryan help them through each obstacle. As Evelyn and Ryan assist the couple with the plans for their wedding things change between them, Ryan even takes Evelyn’s suggestion and changes the name of his venue to Harbor View Weddings. Evelyn and Ryan both dream about what it would be like if they were planning their own wedding, while helping Brianna and Daniel through the process. Evelyn and Ryan share secrets and realize what happened between the two of them in high school. I love all the things that Evelyn does behind the scenes to make Harbor View Weddings a success since she knows that this wedding is a make or break for Ryan. Evelyn and Ryan promise each other that their relationship will not change regardless of which venue Brianna and Daniel select. A surprise plot twist happens that works in favor of the Captain’s Cottage and Ryan expects the worse and immediately puts distance between himself and Evelyn. I love how Leigh developed the romance and relationship between Ryan and Evelyn. A Waterfront Wedding felt like a family reunion and the reader has the opportunity to catch up with all the different wedding vendors in Heart’s Landing and the other characters from the other books in the series. A Waterfront Wedding is filled with the bittersweet and poignant moments that I have come to love and expect in Leigh Duncan stories. I loved the plot twist and how everything gets resolved. I loved the happily ever after and Ryan’s proposal to Evelyn. It was an incredible story that I could not put down. I loved every page of this page turner. Leigh Duncan once again proves that she is an amazing storyteller. I love that every story includes a recipe. So, looking forward to the next story in the series.

Set in Heart’s Landing, a top wedding destination, Evelyn Hart is managing the Captain’s Cottage while her cousin Jason and his new bride Tara are away on their honeymoon. The Captain’s Cottage is a well-known wedding 💒 venue in Heart’s Landing and has been for more than fifty years.

Unfortunately for Evelyn, there’s a new competition in town: Ryan Court, Jason’s childhood friend has bought an abandoned boat factory at the marina called the Boat Works and plans to open the waterfront property as a wedding venue.

A lot of work had gone into restoring the boat factory and it had taken him a year to complete it. Ryan’s high school teammate, Norman Hawk who’s an electrician is helping out with the wiring.

With Ryan’s savings exhausted he has to start hosting weddings real soon or he’d have to start making mortgage payments.

Alicia Thorn, Captain’s Cottage Event planner calls for a meeting between Ryan and Evelyn, and JeanMarie, owner of Statue Park to discuss the Wedding-in-a-Week event.

A reputable magazine called *Weddings Today* runs a Wedding-in-a-Week contest every year inviting engaged couples to enter. The winner gets an all-expense-paid wedding. Captain’s Cottage has been named America’s Top Wedding Destination and as such they get to host the event.

Business owners in Heart’s Landing are expected to participate by donating their goods and services. Ryan’s Boat Works has been chosen to participate in this year’s Wedding-in-a-Week competition.

This year the selected business owners will provide three choices to the bride and groom and the winner will feature in a national magazine. Evelyn who has assisted Jason with the contest before gets to handle the contest herself this year. Moreover, she been hoping to hand more responsibilities besides handling the books and inventory.

As it happens, JeanMarie can’t participate because a large tree fell on her property and she may not get the three removed in time to hold a wedding. That leaves Captain’s Cottage and Boat Works.

Ryan and Evelyn are both eager to have the winners of the contest choose their venue for their ceremony and reception. As they compete against each other they can’t deny the sparks that fly between them.

This heartwarming story is a fresh mix of romance, friendship, love, and family. It includes a recipe for Slow-Braised Lamb Sauce Apricot Madeira Sauce.

I really enjoyed this book—it is a light and breezy read. Definitely recommend.

Thank you to Leigh Duncan, NetGalley, and Hallmark Publishing for the ARC of this book.

Ah, Heart's Landing. If you were real I would move there in a heartbeat.
I love returning to fictional worlds I enjoy and the wedding loving Heart's Landing is definitely one.
This time it's Evelyn's story, who we met in her cousin Jason's book. Jason and Tara are on their honeymoon, and Evelyn is in charge.
She is about to face her biggest challenge. It's the annual Wedding-in-a-Week competition in Heart's Landing and lightning took Captain's Cottage's regular competitor out of the running. Enter former crush, cousin's best friend, hot carpenter Ryan. Ryan has recently bought the Boatworks and is turning it into a waterfront wedding venue. He didn't enter the competition, so who did? That mystery is easily predicted as the book goes on. Ryan also crushed on Evelyn, but a bad memory from high school changed his opinion of her.
The WiaW winning couple is fresh-faced and in the kind of love, Evelyn wants for herself. A change in plans puts Ryan and Evelyn shoulder to shoulder to assist the couple as they tour the town's various wedding-named stores in preparation for their final decision on location.
They enter a friendly competition while secretly hoping the other won't win.
I liked how they resumed their friendship in the spirit of the town and worked together for the couple.
Evelyn is a kind and compassionate woman who goes out of her way to make brides feel special and happy.
Ryan shoulders family disappointment while trying to have his venue ready by wedding day and work out his feelings for Evelyn.
They mesh well. Both complementing the other and keeping the town motto at the forefront of their friendly competition. A perfect wedding for every bride.
I am biased toward Captain's Cottage, even though I do love the idea of a waterfront wedding.

Through their interactions with the winning couple, they rekindle their interest in each other. It's cute to read. Revelations from their pasts give their new relationship a good start. The final decision of the competition brings out a lot of feelings. When disaster happens, Evelyn really shines as a great character.

I would have enjoyed this with or without the romantic elements.

I received a complimentary copy through Hallmark Publishing. All opinions are my own.

Another Happily Ever After in Heart's Landing!

For a number of years Heart's Landing has been named America's Top Wedding Destination by Wedding Today magazine. In addition to this prestigious accomplishment Heart's Landing is awarded the distinction of being the location for the wedding of the magazine's winners of their Wedding-in-a Week event. Each year Heart's Landing provides the lucky couple with a choice of three wedding venues and all the other accoutrements for a beautiful wedding i.e. three wedding gowns to choose from, three tuxes, three different wedding cakes, three different table setting etc. The whole town of Heart's Landing works together to make this couple's wedding special. Of course, the whole town always works to make each couple's wedding special.

In A Waterfront Wedding (Heart's Landing #3) by Leigh Duncan we meet Evelyn Heart, a descendant of the town's founder, who along with her cousin Jason runs Captain's Cottage, the mansion the town's founder built for his wife and the premier wedding venue in town. Jason is away on his honeymoon and Evelyn is running things at Captain's Cottage. We also meet Ryan Court who has purchased and renovated the Boat Works building in the harbor to provide a waterfront wedding venue. Evelyn and Ryan were childhood friends who drifted apart. Now they are competitors for the winning couple's venue choice. But this is Heart's Landing and they agree to work together to give the happy couple the wedding of their dreams.

I really enjoyed this storyline. Evelyn and Ryan are warm, caring characters who, when forced to spend time together for Wedding-in-a Week find themselves falling for each other. They are hesitant to express their feelings for each other and the way Ms. Duncan leads then to their HEA is truly heartwarming. I love Heart's Landing with all its unique businesses named to suggest wonderful weddings such as I Do Cakes, The Glass Slipper and Favors Galore. It truly does sound like the perfect wedding destination.

I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

This is an easy listen and sweet romance. Pretty much what you expect from Hallmark. My rating 4.25.

Heart’s Landing is a premier wedding destination. Evelyn is a bookkeeper for the family business at the Captain’s Cottage, a longtime favorite for weddings. Evelyn is filling in for her brother, the top manager, and wants to prove she can handle the management while he is on his honeymoon. Now Evelyn is in the competition for the Captain’s Cottage to be picked in the prestigious Wedding in a Week Contest.

Ryan has just finished remodeling the town’s old boatworks into a wedding venue on the water. He is surprised to learn that someone put his brand new location into the Wedding in a Week Contest. If his new building is picked by the winning couple, his business will be made.

Ryan was the childhood friend of Evelyn’s older brother. She always tried to tag along with the two guys and as she grew, she had a crush on Ryan. Although Ryan was kind when they were young, as they got into high school he seemed to avoid her. Now they are thrown together as they play guide to the Marine and his bride who are the winning couple in the all-expenses-paid Wedding in a Week contest. The various vendors in Heart’s Landing are thrilled to participate, even as Evelyn and Ryan experience a cautious attraction while anticipating that their venue will be selected.

Evelyn has some confidence and control issues that I found frustrating. Still, I enjoyed the rivalry between Evelyn and Ryan, and the various wedding details were fun to follow. The wedding couple had their own pre-wedding jitters and issues that needed some soothing. Of course, this is a Hallmark Romance so I was glad to have the expected HEA ending. I recommend this to readers who enjoy an easy read and sweet, “Hallmark” romance.

Audio Notes: Karissa Vacker does a very good job with the narration. She provides distinct voices and fitting emotional delivery. The narration enhanced my enjoyment of the story.

Weddings take place in Heart's Landing
Best-selling author and award winner Leigh Duncan presents a third wedding taking place in Heart's Landing under the title "A Waterfront Wedding. A Heart's Landing Novel from Hallmark Publishing". Heart's Landing is not only a small town, it is a wedding destination. This year Evelyn (manager of the Captain's cottage in the absence of her cousin Jason who is on his honeymoon with his bride Tara) and Ryan (who wants to turn the abandoned boat factory into a wedding venue called "Boat Works") are "fighting" against one another in the wedding-in-a-week contest in order to present the best wedding for Brianna and Daniel, the engaged couple. But things are not going as they should. One of the problems is that they are friends, but there are also a lot of technical and logistical issues and the interference about such characters as Alicia Thorn (Captain's Cottage event planner) or JeanMarie (owner of the Statue Park). And then there is "Weddings Today", the well-known magazine who is financing the "Wedding-in-a-Week" Contest. The big questions are: Will there be a wedding at the end and what will become of Evelyn and Ryan.
This was the fourth book by Leigh Duncan which I read, the third one of the "Heart's Landing" books (the others being "A Cottage Wedding" and "A Simple Wedding"). Although they take place in the same location they can be read as stand-alones. I really enjoyed the book's great, believable, strong, and charming characters. It is a funny, heartwarming story, a clean romance and a relaxing and enjoyable read which I highly recommend to all readers who love romances with a wedding topic. And, once again, Hallmark Publishing included one of their special recipes, this time the one for Slow-Braised Lamb with Apricot Madeira Sauce.
The complimentary copy of this book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley free of charge. I was under no obligation to offer a positive review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

A Waterfront Wedding by Leigh Duncan is a wonderful, fell-good, and modern romance that is the third book in the Heart’s Landing series.

I have enjoyed the previous two books in this collection, so I jumped at the chance to visit this adorable and heartwarming town again.

This time we visit Captain’s Cottage, a quaint and picturesque wedding venue within the town is one of a few establishments owned by local inhabitants, this one owned by the family of Evelyn Heart. A newer establishment refurbished for weddings by local inhabitant, Ryan is also thrust into the limelight when it becomes a competitor to the Captain in trying to win the affections of an engaged couple. Both Ryan and Evelyn hope to win the competition of being chosen to host the highly publicized wedding, as it will be great publicity for their own respective businesses. But of course, only one will win....As the competition heats up, one-time friends from the distant past will come to terms with past occurrences and possibly rekindle a spark that has been flickering under the radar all along.

I love the enemies to friends to lovers trope. Whether it is by competition, misunderstandings, or by other means if it is executed properly. Ms. Duncan has done it again with this team. I loved seeing the progression between the two. Both have great chemistry and play off of one another well.

I really enjoyed their respective journeys, and I also enjoyed the ending.

I look forward to the next book in this series.

5/5 stars

Leigh Duncan brings us to Heart's Landing, the town known far and wide as "America's Top Wedding Destination." We meet Evelyn Heart who agreed to manage the Captain's Cottage while her cousin and his wife were on their honeymoon. She is baffled when the couples she meets do not confirm wedding dates right away when she learns that Ryan Court has renovated the Boat Works as a waterfront wedding venue. Her wedding coordinator Alicia has Evelyn and Ryan meet her to discuss the Wedding-in-a-Week event where one lucky couple chosen by Weddings Today gets an all expense paid wedding. Business owners donate goods and services so they get mentioned in the publication. The festivities start when they meet the lucky couple at the train station and they escort them throughout the week as they meet and choose all the aspects of a wedding such as a dress, china, tableware, and location. Both Evelyn and Ryan must play host and ambassador while wondering if their feelings are from when they were much younger or if it can become something more? Will the winning venue keep them from exploring these feelings, or will it drive them apart?

Leigh Duncan brings us along as Evelyn and Ryan help out the winning couple as they go around the town and life and fear get in the way. Will they be able to help them calm their fears especially when plans change, or will wanting to win get to them in the end? I enjoyed watching Evelyn and Ryan as they maneuvered trying to help their town, their venue, and themselves during the event. I look forward to returning to Heart's Landing and meeting new characters as I visit friendly faces.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for this privilege.

I had read the first two books in this series so I was excited when I was able to have access to this ARC. I adore this series and this latest book does not disappoint. If you want a good, wholesome (think Hallmark movies) book that has a HEA, then this is your book.

Everyone knows that Heart's Landing is the premiere wedding destination in the US. Once a year there is a contest that allows a bride and groom to have a free wedding within the city of Heart's Landing. All the bride and groom have to do is pick out everything that has already been narrowed down to a list of 3 - wedding venues, flowers, food, table arrangements, wedding dress, tuxedos, etc. This story revolves around Ryan and Evelyn. Evelyn is filling in for her cousin Jason (who is on his honeymoon from the story in book 2) managing his wedding venue, which happens to be the premiere wedding venue in town. Ryan, who is also Jason's best friend, purchased an old boat house and spent a year remodeling it with dreams of it becoming a premier wedding venue. They are the final two wedding venues for the lucky couple (the 3rd had to bow out after lightning struck a tree and it can't be repaired in time). Of course, Ryan & Evelyn grew up together but since Ryan is two years older, she assumed Ryan didn't like her once she hit high school. In actuality, Ryan asked Evelyn to the homecoming dance when she was a freshman, but she didn't hear him and she was rehearsing a play leaving him with the impression she didn't want to go out with him. That couldn't be further from the truth - she has always had a crush on Ryan.

Which venue will win? Will the decision come between Ryan & Evelyn or can they start a relationship themselves? I enjoyed this book - grab a copy once it comes out.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

I absolutely LOVE the town of Heart’s Landing in Leigh Duncan’s books; this is the third in the series, and was just as lovely, heartwarming, and enjoyable as its predecessors.
Evelyn Heart is filling in for her cousin Jason, who is on his honeymoon, in running the Captain’s Cottage, currently named the number one wedding venue by Weddings Today Magazine.
Ryan Court has spent his life savings restoring The Boat Works into a premiere wedding venue, and is trying to gain business amidst his finishing touches of construction.
Ryan and Evelyn are partnered together in the Wedding-in-a-Week competition; they are to help a young couple selected by Weddings Today Magazine plan their wedding in a week through a series of choices, and at the end the couple will choose which premier venue will be the lucky host of their wedding.
Through helping the young couple, Ryan and Evelyn are reconnected and we see a love story blossom alongside the young couple whose wedding they are helping plan. Ryan and Evelyn have known each other since youth, and it is a sweet story of two individuals who always held interest and feelings for the other, but through miscommunications and circumstantial happenings over the years these feelings have never been out in the open and known to one another.
The two finally have an opportunity to connect, but there is a lot at stake, and ultimately an inevitable heartache to occur when the young couple makes the final decision on which venue will be the one to host their wedding. There are ups and downs, trials and tribulations, but a lot of heart and of course a happy ending.
I am very hopeful that these Heart’s Landing stories will one day be made into a movie!

I received an ARC from Hallmark, but these opinions are purely my own.

A Waterfront Wedding, written by Leigh Duncan, is a lovely second chance story set in the fictional Hart’s Landing, the destination wedding capital of today. With the Wedding in a Week contest, sponsored by Weddings Today magazine, upon the seaside town, it is the Captain’s Cottage, with much history and a very romantic tale of the captain and his love, versus The Boat Works, newly christened Harbor View Weddings, that contend for the honored site of this celebrated wedding.

Brianna and Daniel are the lucky couple that has won this once in a lifetime opportunity. Representing the Captain’s Cottage is descendent Evelyn Hart, and for Harbor View is local visionary and restoration carpenter, Ryan Court. As children, Ryan and Evelyn’s older cousin, Jason, were best of friends, as they are today. Evelyn was always the tagalong, the afterthought, and this still rankles her even as she carries on for her honeymooning cousin.

However, the main thing is the winning couple. He is a young marine. She is a somewhat recently orphaned young woman. They are both from central Florida, which might as well be a million miles from this coastal town in Rhode Island. As they are in this circumstance and working on their own, it is suggested that Evelyn and Ryan serve as companions to the young couple. As they do, not only are they extra supportive of these young people, but they also realize the depth of their own connection.

With the many trials of putting together such a high profile wedding, coupled with family illness and an extreme weather event, can Evelyn and Ryan actually pull off both a wonderful wedding and an awesome beginning for themselves?

I very much enjoyed this audiobook, the wonderful narration by Karissa Vacker, and I do recommend it!

A Waterfront Wedding
by Leigh Duncan is a delightful romance set in a idyllic, wedding destination town called the Heart's Landing. This is the 3rd book in a series of books set in this location. It tells the story of Evelyn and Ryan, who were born and brought up in this charming town,  and hence have strong attachments to it and have known each other since they have been children. It so happens,  both of their places compete to be the wedding destination for a wedding event and so, both of them compete against each other as well. Sparks fly between the both and their journey towards each other begins, which is the rest of the story.

First off, I very much liked the descriptions of this charming, idyllic,  little town and would really love to visit a place like that, in case it exists. And reading about the place and its weddings has charmed me completely. I really would love to read all the books in this series just to read more about this lovely place. The book has a whole host of characters who are very sweet and are all working in earnest to give all the brides who visit their place, a wonderful wedding.

The story begins with a wedding event  competition and it has been told in a sweet, charming, romantic and idyllic manner. I can understand why Leigh is a  famous author. I just loved the whole book. The only drawback I could think about is that at times the book felt lengthy. Otherwise, the whole book transported me completely into a charming setting and managed to tell me a story about 2 of its lovely residents. I am definitely checking out the remaining books in this series and reading the other books by the author too. Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC.

After reading books one and two of The Heart’s Landing series I had hoped that one of the minor characters from these two books could have her own “love for the ages” story. My wish came true as “A Waterfront Wedding” features Evelyn Hart’s love story with Ryan Court. Both Evelyn and Ryan are hoping that their wedding venue will be selected by an engaged couple who have been selected to participated in Wedding in a Week. During the Wedding in a Week festivities, Daniel and Brianna are shepherded around town by Evelyn and Ryan in the hopes of planning their perfect wedding in one week’s time. You know there is going to be some drama no matter which wedding venue gets picked as part of this year’s Wedding in a Week festivities. The author kept me in suspense because I really was not sure how it was going to all pan out until the book was nearly finished.

I loved the whole concept of having a Wedding in a Week. Having a talented, experienced, and compassionate Heart’s Landing community help plan your wedding sounds like a dream come true. I keep wishing that this town were real, and I know that I’m not the only one who feels this way after reading other book reviews! This was a feel-good book with believable characters and a picturesque setting that made me want to keep coming back to read and wish for more. I sure hope that Leigh Duncan has plans for adding more books to this series. It was a delight to read. Thanks to Hallmark Publishing and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. All thoughts expressed are my honest opinion of this book.

The third book in the Heart’s Landing series, and it did not disappoint! A Waterfront Wedding by Leigh Duncan took me back to Hearts Landing for another beautiful wedding and some new romance.

The quaint town of Heart’s Landing is easily pictured with Duncan’s super descriptive and lyrical writing. In this book we are introduced to Evelyn and Ryan. They are both competing to have their venue as the host of the Wedding in a Week contest winners. They grew up together but drifted apart, and I love when people get a second change at love. I also enjoyed the military wedding.

While I have read all of the books to date and in order, Duncan does an incredible job of rehashing anything that a new reader to the series would need to know. Just like the rest of the books in the series, it can be read as a standalone or as part of the series.

The narrated version of this book was great. Karissa Vacker does an amazing job with her voices and emotions throughout the entire story.

Unlike many series, every single one of these books has been featured on my blog and Instagram. They are just so beautiful written and stand out among their companions. I REALLY hope that Hallmark will make all of these into movies. Also, it has been a year since I read the first one and about nine months since the second one, but this one may be my favourite in the series.

I received an eARC from Hallmark Publishing and an advanced audiobook copy from Dreamscape Media through NetGalley. All opinions are 100% my own.
