Brie Paisley was born and raised in a small town in Mississippi, and now, she currently lives in different locations, due to her husband being military. She wanted to write at a young age and was always filling journals with her thoughts and short stories. Brie started with an idea for her debut novel a few years ago, and with the encouragement of her husband and sister-in-law, she was able to write and publish her first book. When she isn’t writing, you can find her reading a good book, watching a good movie, or spending time with her wonderful husband and beautiful daughter.

Sean

When my daughter, Emma, was born, I vowed to love, protect, and always be there for her. Everything I do, is for her, so shutting myself off from the world has been easy. I don’t have the time, nor the room, in my heart for anyone else.

Meeting Layla has changed all of that.

She makes me question if I should let her in, because there is something about her, that makes me want to take down the walls around my heart. If I let her in, I’m giving her the power to either make me the happiest man alive, or she could be the key to destroying what’s left of my broken heart.

The first time I laid eyes on Sean, I felt connected to him instantly. But no matter how I feel, I’m only around to do one thing, take care of his daughter. However, the more I’m around him and his little girl, the more I realize how easy it could be to fall for them both.

Meeting Sean has been the best thing that’s happened to me.

Even if I know it’s a bad idea to fall in love with my employer, I can’t stop my feelings from growing. The question now is, can I get him to see past his hurt and open up to me? Or is this just a heartbreak waiting to happen?

I got this gift from this amazing author and I couldn't say no. Nor did I wanted to, if I'm being honest.
Brie Paisley is freaking awesome and her books are amazing.
Devoted to You is one of her books and explores the lives of Sean and Layla.
Sean's life revolves around his daughter. Everything he does is for her and to her.
Because of this, he doesn't have time to fall in love.
When the beautiful Layla appears...
Layla wasn't counting on falling in love with her boss. She was supposed to take care of his daughter but her heart...
I loved this book but I hated that it was so short.
Why? Oh, why?
Do you know that feeling of wanting to keep reading and reading? Yep, that was me while reading this book.
I loved every chapter and I wanted more. Did I already say that I wanted more? Lol
Great chemistry between the characters.
You could feel the love they shared.
Great story and o wanted more.

Read this in an hour. Fast read but oh so good. Sean is a single Dad who has been trying to do everything on his own. His sister tries to get him to hire a nanny but he refuses. Then when he is in a big rut at work, his sister sends Layla (the nanny) to help. He is not happy. But knowing he needs the help let’s her stay. He finally sees how good she is not only with his daughter but also showing him how to open his heart to her.
