Twice Bitten
Liv Morgan has been stalked by death since the age of five when her parents were murdered by vampires. Since then, she's been shot, stabbed, and fatally wounded several times.
Now, only a few months away from her eighteenth birthday and the promise of being free from the foster system forever, Liv has to tackle Death's latest hurdle: an irresistible vampire that Liv is literally being drawn to.
When ignoring Emerson Lark becomes impossible, Liv's only option is to figure out why a hundred year old vampire has decided to return to school - and whether it has anything to do with the strange visions she's begun to have of a past where vampires were at war with human hunters.

Holy moly.
This is the book that I needed to read in my life, it got me out of my reading slump and now it has me craving for more.
I ugly cried several times during this book, I laughed and got excited- a whole whirl wind of emotions. There is a Twilight inspired feel to this book but on a whole new level, one which I much preferred to the Twilight Saga.
I loved how Diana Greenbird went into the detail of explaining the science behind vampires because I always feel as though that has been missing in the previous vampire books I’ve read.
I loved how the story was gradually being unravelled by the visions/dreams Liv would be having. It was so interesting to see this romance between Emerson and Liv unfold. It was realistic because even though by the end the romance blossomed, Liv still remained the head string female character that she is.
I loved all of the A Team, it took me back to High School years and the bitchiness of Emma and her cheerleaders.
I can’t get over how clever the author is to have such a intricate plot, weaving in Liv’s childhood, her current town situations, and the trauma she faced during her other foster home years.
If you want to feel a mix of emotions, understand the science behind vampires, you want a new world to immerse yourself in- pick up Twice Bitten. You won’t be disappointed!!!

I finally got round to finishing this book and i’m so glad I did! I haven’t read a YA Supernatural book for a LONG time but it felt like I was back as a teenager in the midst of the Vampire Craze when I read this!
One of my favourite things about this book was how it gave vampire (and witch) lore a realistic and believable origin story- it asked and answered the questions we’ve all had when reading Vampire fiction (one example being why on earth would a vampire decide to just relive high school over and over again). It meant that it was easy to envision the events of the book happening in our reality and it was also an enjoyable take on the lore!
I also really liked the mystery element of this book. I am an avid read of Psychological Thrillers and mystery novels so for me, theorising along with the characters for the first 3/4 of the book about what Liv was kept me hooked so that once it got to the point where things were becoming a little bit clearer I just wanted to keep reading!
I felt like the author really took the time to develop her characters and the ‘supernatural’ world they lived in which meant that the book was fairly long but there was nothing that felt unnecessary in the narrative and it meant that everything felt fleshed out (I know other readers have commented on the length but It was only a similar length if not shorter than the twilight books (which the author took inspiration from) and having studied English at degree level i’ve read novels that are twice as long so it didn’t bother me!)
I will definitely be reading more novels by Diana Greenbird and from the looks of her website she has LOTS of upcoming releases, including a Sequel to Twice bitten! 😍

February 22, 2021I decided to write a review just for those considering reading this book since i didn't find any when i was asking myself should i ? But i'm not going to rate this
So this book is about our main female character Liv she lost her parents when she was 5 years old
And after that death became her bff her saying not mine, let me tell you she had a lot of accidents so it was nothing new to her when she had one at the beginning of the book after a mysterious figure showed up at the road causing her to be thrown off her bicke and have severe injuries
Anyway so to make it simple this book was too much for me
It was so looong i understand that it was a bit necessary if the author didn't want to rush things plus not making this into a series but it was still long.
Also while i don't mind reading about secrets and mysterious things, i don't like it when i'm over half of the book but there was nothing revealed
More than 60% of the book and no answers about the nature of the FL, the mysterious figure, why her parents were killed
Just questions and dreams but nothing , which i don't like i prefer when the author reveal a piece of the secret every few chapter while still keeping the mystery
The romance here was weak not just it's presence itself but also the quality of it even if this was YA ( i don't know if it is since i just decided to read the book without checking if it was)
After all the long read the end of Eliza and John was just..... Those two assassins spent decades killing people including the FL 's parents and turning the ML into vamp against his will essentially them being " The bad guys " Their end was just meh
John the one that caused the FL accident at the beginning of the book we were just informed about his death over a phone call
It was like hey he attacked Gi ( a character in the book) and Greayson ( another character) killed him i think? Anyway he was just killed and the FL / ML were just informed about it
The FL get a message from her friend warning her about Eliza knowing her place and that she should run away before she gets her
The FL run but she meets Eliza all in like the next 10min or so then E attack her , she ( Liv) bite E's neck.... Drink the vamp's blood , E lose her consciousness and voila that's how the bad guys were defeated
Overall the end was not satisfying at all for me i wanted more after reading all the details

I couldn't not write a review as the romance and mystery was so gripping I read it in 2 nights. The build up to the leads romance was perfect. I loved the explanation behind the biology of the vampires. Emerson almost being a normal teenager but with all the vamp sexiness - not a 100+ year old going for a 17 year old. You get to fall in love with the FL and ML, learning about their history through Liv's dreams whilst still keeping the mystery - it made a great storyline. The twist and reveal of the mystery at the end was so well written and entertaining. I cannot wait for the other books in the trilogy to come out to learn more about the other characters in the novel such as Gi and Eliza.
I would 100% recommend reading this!
