There’s more magic in this world than I ever thought possible.
Money means everything when you grow up with nothing. Posting risqué videos online may not be everyone’s ideal career, but it’s given me everything I need. I’m free. The hotshot lawyer Porter may not get it, but I don’t care. He can think anything he wants to… Until the jerk tries to steal my house.
Sort of.
I may not own the place yet, but I’m determined to make it mine. But Porter is more than just a smokin’ hot house-stealer, and as I get to know him, I like him more and more. And freaking more.
I have to resist. Feelings ruin everything.
But then I find out Porter’s secret and feelings are the least of my worries. He’s a dragon. And he thinks I’m his fated mate! I’m not sure how an online streaming star and a fire breathing lawyer can make it work. Especially when we uncover the impossible truth about me.
Roxie Ray is a group of writer friends who love to write Sci Fi Alien Romance and Paranormal Romance. They love to talk, read and write this lovely genre. They hope you love their books and strive to make sure you have a steamy, wonderful experience!
I have been enjoying this series but I just didn’t like this story. It started at the end of the last story with Kaylee being an arrogant, obnoxious person. I thought Kaylee was generally a horrible, self involved person for the first half of the book. Once she’s finally less annoying, I never got into the romance. I couldn’t understand why Porter would change his mind about her and I didn’t think they had any chemistry together.
I also was annoyed about the scene where Kaylee has a realtor delay giving in a bid for a week because she wants a house but doesn’t have the money for it. I would be pretty astonished that a realtor would act so unprofessionally or that someone would actually ask a realtor to not give a valid bid due to their own selfishness.
Also, there’s a scene about Kaylee potentially being out of control and her friends confronting her about this, but in the end it seems like she was just fine and didn’t understand why her friends were worried for her. It was awkward and unnecessary.
This book just didn’t work for me. I will probably try the next story and hope things go back to the vibe of the first 2 books.
I usually love Roxie Ray's books, but this one is not a keeper. There are so many mixed messages underlying the plot that it reads like a Christian neo feminist biography. Either there is nothing wrong with sex workers or there is. The characters draw so many incompatible distinctions it began to make me feel as if they were being disingenuous. The storyline also feels scattered and underdeveloped. There was little basis for a romance. Speed can usually be justified by the pull of a fated mate but without that this relationship is pretty much based on imprudent haste; they can't even draw on love at first sight. Essentially a witch tells the hero to reconsider his behavior and, on that alone, he does a 180. I don't like the hero nor the heroine. They are both self righteous and annoying. There is so little development of story. The entire house purchase premise is built up and then basically abandoned. The behaviors that warranted the initial mini intervention conducted by her friends are never substantiated. It seems as if there was a longer story that was severely edited out. What is most disappointing is the absence of shifter- related plot in this novel; it almost seems as if the dragon aspect was an after thought. I will give another one in this series a try but this is definitely a pale comparison to the depth of her bear shifter series.
I liked it but it was missing alot. Okmso she was kind of a bitch and yet he was somehow in the wrong but I don't see how he was being a prick to her when she was straight rude and nasty to him. Either I missed it or he never judged her about her occupation. And they all of a sudden hes smitten w her and she hasnt been a bitch and hes been the rude one but she hasnt been the rude one? Also there's a fuck up in the scene he was walking on a Sunday and she just came from the bank... banks are closed on Sundays so that sentence was fucked. The story wasn't thorough. It was choppy.
This was the preachiest bunch of BS disguised as a romance I've ever read. There was no need for the views of the author/characters to be that heavily pressed upon other characters and the readers. And Kaylee kept getting offended when there was no reason. It was just so over the top ridiculous that I couldn't enjoy the story.
*Rating: 3.5 - 4 stars** I’m always up for some paranormal fiction and enjoyed the plot of this story. The story sees alpha dragons finding their fated mates but traditionally it has always been dragon mates, but fate has thrown a spanner in the works and now they are finding themselves fated to human females. Humans don’t know their kind exist and they don’t feel a bond so revealing themselves can only be done if they are sure they are the one fate intended. As the women learn there is an entirely new world out there, and what fated means the story is rich with tension. But it’s not just the dragons’ stories each woman also has a problem that comes to light that their men will do anything to keep them safe. Emotions run high as the characters confront their circumstances, dealing with conflicting feelings of fear, hope, and longing. The presence of strong alpha males adds another layer of complexity to the tale. Amidst these challenges, there is also an undercurrent of playful interactions. Overall, it’s an interesting blend of love, action, and adventure that keeps you engaged from beginning to end.
An interesting look at judging a book by its cover or in this case a man or woman at first glance. Witty banter, interesting plot and a fun trip to get to the HEA. As with the other books in the series it is a lighthearted read that wraps some serious issues lightly into the story without taking the focus off of the main characters. Added bonus if you get the first book in the series from KU then this book is also included in that borrow as is the second in the series so a triple borrow for one book! Jackpot!
This started with the implication that she would be struggling with alcoholism, but that never really came up again. There wasn’t an conflict to the story other than trying to buy the house before Porter could. I was surprised she allowed him to just give her the house when the story frequently mentioned her aversion to receiving handouts.

Can’t stand Kaylee! I kept hoping and waiting for things to get better. Don’t waste your time on this one. The first two in the series were good but this one is waste.
After reading a few of Roxie Ray’s books, I’ve become familiar with her writing style. The Dragon’s Choice continues the Bluewater Dragons series, centering on Kaylee and Porter’s relationship, which ended up being the storyline I liked the most from this series. While the book had some interesting surprises, the stalker plot was predictable and didn’t add much suspense.
Kaylee, an adult entertainer streamer, has finally saved enough money for a down payment on a house and a car. However, her dream home becomes the center of a bidding war against none other than Porter. Their rivalry over the house adds tension to their dynamic, though it’s clear from the start that their relationship is heading toward something deeper. Porter’s initial resistance to their connection makes his eventual acceptance and pursuit of Kaylee more compelling.
One of the unexpected twists was Kaylee’s pixie blood, which explained some of her unique traits and abilities. Another surprise was her instant pregnancy after sleeping with Porter and being bitten, an element that felt a little rushed but fits within the fantasy-romance genre’s fated mate trope.
Porter’s journey is equally engaging. He’s settling into his new life and career, navigating clan politics, and dealing with his initial skepticism about his bond with Kaylee. His character development is evident, particularly as he shifts from wanting to avoid emotional entanglements to fully embracing his role in Kaylee’s life. The inclusion of his interactions with his family, Jace, and the rest of the clan added depth to his character.
The magical elements, including Sammy’s revelation of the curse and Vlad’s explanation of Kaylee’s heritage, added intrigue to the story. While the stalker plot involving KayleeFan029 was predictable, it did serve as a catalyst for Kaylee’s decision to shut down her streaming career. This shift made sense given her character growth and the trauma she experienced.
Overall, The Dragon’s Choice was an enjoyable read with strong character development and entertaining magical elements. While some plot points were predictable, the romance between Kaylee and Porter made up for it. At this point, I don’t plan on continuing the series, but this book provided a satisfying conclusion to their story.

Kaylee is introduced in previous books as a side character and her career is Only fans. This book is her story and Porter's who was introduced in the previous book. He's a lawyer specializing in family law.
Kaylee and Porter meet in a bar and Kaylee is obnoxious, it turns Porter off, but that wasn't all. Porter could have been more tactful but he was a little bit of a dick which given how Kaylee was acting may have been justified
Kaylee in this book comes off as full of herself, obnoxious, and spoiled.
Porter comes across as a judgemental, hypocritical, self-righteous dick.
Kaylee earns enough money to buy a Mustang with cash, but the she's looking at a house and doesn't have enough for a down-payment (oversimplification) She's looking at the house the same time Porter is.
Kaylee asks the Realtor to withhold Porters very valid and financially secure offer. and if you've read the blurb this is Porter trying to steal what she's earned.
The Porter goes to a job interview and turns out Kaylee is related to the boss, and she threatens Porter with this job if he doesn't retract his offer.
Has Porter been some what of a dick, yes. He's been judgemental and hypocritical saying things like I don't care how you make a living but I could never be with someone like that.
The way this plot is plotting is giving off Christian, tradwife/spouse, slut shaming and that's just a big no from me

Porter, Jace’s half brother, is seriously thinking of settling in Bluewater Coast. One night, in Jace’s bar, he meets Kaylee and proceed to have a very cringy encounter (this is the final chapter in the previous book). He is judgmental about her profession and she’s a bit of a bitch about it.
I didn’t really care for this book. Primarily because I really didn't like the MFC. I thought the fight she got into with Porter at the end of the book was predictable and stupid. She’s really an idiot if she didn’t think that a guy wouldn’t have any issues with her job. I also kinda hate feeling like I was being preached at. I mean if you want to be a sex worker, or um an “entertainer” knock yourself out. But don’t be surprised when people have an opinion about it.
I think there are better books in the dragon shifter genre that are available, so I wouldn’t recommend this book. Actually, I wouldn’t recommend this series in general. I won’t be reading any subsequent books that are released in this series.
The Dragons Choice by Roxie Ray is a fast paced, intriguing, entertaining, steamy with a bit of action and surprises. a shifter romance story of Kaylee and Porter..Kaylee grew up with an addict parents, taking care herself and learned in an early age to work hard for herself and dont rely on anyone even her parents, when she was fifteen she move out and live alone and work hard and found herself doing a good job making videos helping people in their sex life, educating them to it and get paid even when she found out that she have a rich family on her father side but she didnt trust easily she doesnt need anythin from them only there love.. so when she met Porter,a dragon shifter,a lawyer they headbutted each other, they both sttuborn but they couldnt shake off each other they very attracted to each other but their mind is so strong so they followed that but their connection still wins only to find out that both of them having a seret for Porter that he is a dragoin and for Kaylee being a fae even though he didnt know that..

Kaylee comes across as a horrible person at the beginning of the book. Treating men like they’re just sex objects. Yes I know men often do it and I judge them just as harshly! When she meets Porter she’s horrid to him because he doesn’t fancy her straight away and doesn’t like her career, which is doing sex acts on herself and people paying her to watch. Personally I wouldn’t like it either and I’m not a prude! She also gives guidance on how to make women have a great time sexually. Porter is Jace’s brother who is with one of her best friends Bri so they bump into each other quite a lot. He realises he has unfairly judged her and apologises over and over to her but she never apologises for how horrid she is to him! Even going as far as threatening him to retract an offer on a house she wants to buy as he’ll be working for her grandad! Sorry not sorry, she’s horrid!
This was cute and not so romantic to start for Porter and Kaylee.
Porter is making the move from his clan to be closer to his brother and family. He recently lost his mom who let him know he has a brother Jace. Being close to family is something that both brothers want and to know each other more.
Kaylee the independent woman that she is and continues to be doesn’t make a good impression on Porter? They meet not in the best situation; two guys are fighting for her and wanting her to choose one or the other?
The love hate relationship starts, more hate but it gets worse when they both want to buy the same house. Sammy gets involved and Porter is doubting more like feeling bad for judging Kaylee. It gets better, lol, when Porter discovers her grandfather is his potential future boss.
I enjoyed their story, how she discovers he’s a dragon. How Kaylee is a supernatural and didn’t know it. There is a HEA, enjoy!
I’m not gonna lie; after reading Porter and Kaylee’s cringey interaction at the end of book 2, I wasn’t sure how things were going to work out. It happy to say that my fears were for nothing. Even though I knew Porter was a good guy, he definitely had to get off his high horse before I considered him good enough for our Kaylee. I loved the unexpected twists and turns in this book, and considering Kaylee’s profession, I was not surprised at the steamy passion we saw in this book. I also love how each book in this series always has a touch of danger and action to balance out the romance. Totally enjoyable and entertaining few hours, and can’t wait for Wayne and Bianca’s story next. I’m already loving their characters just from the little I saw in this book ❤️

When Kaylee meets Porter he looks down on how she earns a living but he finds that changing. Kaylee runs her own website with videos and live streaming herself performing and giving advice about intimate matters mostly aimed at men but some aimed at women. The first time she meets Porter he looks down on her for her website but finds her had to forget and the longer he knows her the more he comes to respect her for the information she supplies to those less experienced people. But when they both want to buy the same house they all but go to war unfortunately they share the same friends so they keep bumping into each other.

Spoiler alert I am loving this series but you really need to read the first two books in it before this book or you will spend the first several chapters trying to figure out who the characters are and what is happening. Porter starts out judging Kaylee based on her job and being a jerk. Kaylee in turn is a brat with Porter. As he finds out her full story he ends up falling in love with her and she him but his worries about her job drive her away. When his worries prove justified he saves her for a happily ever after.

Book two in the series. Porter and Kaylee are still going in this book. Kaylee is a hardworking hard on the outside kind of woman that does what she has to do to keep herself debt-free and hides her soft side to everyone. Porter knows that Kaylee is what and who he wants in his life for the long haul. He has figured out she isn't what she wants everyone to see. So can he get her to see that he wants her in his life and to settle down? Does she accept this or does she keep him at arms length? Do these two make a good HEA? Check it out and see.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. The Dragon's Choice by Roxie Ray is the third book in her Bluewater Dragons series. I really enjoyed this read. I did not read the first to books of this series, but was not lost. Kaylee and Porter have chemistry that scorches the pages (Mature Readers Only), but there is so much more. I loved that they had to work at overcoming first impressions. I laughed (a lot), squirmed ( a bit) and just flat out refused to put this read down until I finished it. A great anytime read that has a few OMG moments. Now I need to go back and read the first two books...

Loved this enemies to lovers tale. Kaylee and Porter had a hate at first sight relationship. But once they took a step back from the arguing and fighting they hit it off. Almost immediately Porter is thinking of forever and Kaylee, who’s always been fiercely independent isn’t far behind. I love their dynamic. Porter is totally alpha, but also sweet, caring and devoted. Kaylee is used to being on her own and was never interested in relationships but Porter was one of a kind and even though he came on strong, to her surprise, she had no trouble letting him in. Now add in some dragon shifters, clever witches, pixies and fated mates and we got one awesome read!

I loved how every book go's about other characters. first we got antony and skye in the first book. lovely couple by the way. then we got Jace and briana also a lovely couple. then we got Kaylee and Porter. and if there will be a book 4 we got Wayne and Bianca, Briana's little sister. im loooking for ward to that one. Would building i loved every second of this 3 books as a boxset. wonderfull Characters also. easy to read a bit romatic here and there but not to much. you really get to now them in everyway
Kaylee isn't your usual damsel in distress heroine. She's working her hustle and determined to never be in debt. She doesn't care if she's being judged, in fact she flaunts who she is. The thing is she is also hiding the good kind loving woman underneath all that hard exterior. It takes a bit, but Porter, who's interested in settling down and starting a family finally figure out who she is and discovers she's exactly what he wants. A great HEA and lead in to the next story.

I say surprise five star read because I too felt like Porter did in the beginning. I was like WHY would Ray pick a sex video live stream actress for the heroine? The writing was so good that I came to the same conclusion Porter did...to look past what she did for a living and look at the real person. I realized that I was judging her when I try very hard to live my life not doing that. I know you will think I’m nuts but this book helped me grow as a person. How many books do you read that you can say this about. Download this one...you will not be sorry.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The Dragon's Choice mixes both Paranormal and Enemies-To-Lovers genre perfectly. When the story starts Kaylee Price, a risqué vlogger and online influencer meets Porter, a lawyer considering changing his living situation first meet the tension is clearly felt. After many "chance"meetings they finally see each other as they truly are and find themselves enraptured. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and look forward to Roxie Ray's continuing tales of the Bluewater Dragon Clan.

He moved to get to know his younger half brother and ends up finding his chosen mate. He's not too sure he will ever find a mate and when he realizes who it is, he's not to sure he likes her. Porter is a dragon and a successful lawyer. Kaylee makes sex videos and streams them on the internet because it’s a fast way for her to make money and it pays the bills. The two don’t get along at first, and seem like very unlikely to be in a relationship, but as he finds out more about her story, they begin to fall for each other. Will she accept him when she finds out what he is? Is he right that she is his Fated Mate?
When Porter first met Kaylee he didn’t want anything to do with her because of her profession. So he treated her like crap, she didn’t like being judged especially after what she had gone through. Porter’s dragon wanted her so he started treating her better and then she saw the dragons, so Sammy the witch checked her DNA and found out that she was part pixie. They finally gave in to their feelings after what they went through to get there! Great book!
Porter and Kaylee have a connection. She's best friends with Porter's brothers mate. Kaylee is a online adult entertainer. Porter is a dragon shifter and lawyer. They meet in his brothers bar but they don't have a great meeting. Every time they cross paths a fight happens but what will happen when they start seeing each other in a different way?
