V.F.Mason always loved reading books and had quite a few fights with her mama over the genre she liked (romance, duh!) She studied filmmaking and thought that would feed her desire for stories, but that didn't happen.
Finally, when she was tired of all those voices in her head, she sat down and wrote a book. It was a huge decision to make and she thanks her friends and family for supporting her in it.
When she is not writing, she can be found with her friends doing all sorts of crazy things or reading recent romance books that were written by her favorite authors.

This is a cute little novella featuring Lachlan and Valencia from Lachlan’s protege, it’s a look behind the curtain and a glimpse into there life since we last left them.
It’s set a few years later and gives us a really snapshot into there family dynamic what kind of husband and father Lachlan is.

There’s also some lead-up into the next book in this series Rush a former protege of Lachlan whose since gone rogue and now hates him for reasons unknown.
He wants to destroy and remove the king from his throne and this tantalises us with what’s to come.
it’s also pretty obvious that Aileen, Lachlan and Valencia’s daughter is going to play a huge part in this revenge.

This was so sweet and it’s lovely to see how Lachlan has grown and evolved surrounded by those people who love him and he calls family.
That’s not to say he’s gone soft he’s still who he is this is just a glimpse into his softer nurturing side, the one he reserves for his family.
This gave me all the warm and fuzzies but also captured my attention in regards to the next book in this series which I will definitely be reading.

a perfect little book to show us a sneak peak into the lives of Valencia and Lachlan after the events of the previous book. Really sweet and the character growth shown is just amazing! Loved how it builds the scene for Beauty and the Villain!

I honestly don't know what was better--seeing Lachlan and Valencia or seeing the sneak peak of where this author intends to go next.

This was just the perfect little holiday bonus to remind me again why I have loved all of these characters, especially Lachlan. Everyone got some screen time in some format. I loved seeing Valencia soothing her best of a man and seeing a softer side to him. That is not to say that Lachlan is in any way, shape, or form soft. However, it did make me love him even more.

The preview was FIRE, and leaves me wanting it YESTERDAY. There is a reason that this author is one of my favorites.

A sweet little update on Lachlan and his protege with their love ones, this little special novella also bring teaser to the next release. And its gonna be dark, i'm giddy with excitement waiting for the next book.

Meanwhile this novella give me all the sweet and heart warming feelings.
Seeing Lachlan with his Valencia and his little family.
Meeting all the protege in one room, celebrating christmas with their wife.

And with the author signature, her dark twist, the ending of this novella definitly a wicked teaser!

Me encantó! Es una historia corta de Lachlan y Valencia.. 6 años después de su libro. Siento que está pequeña historia me dio justo lo que necesitaba de ellos, amé verlos como padres.. y amé a Aileen.
Y lo más hermoso, que también me hizo llorar, fue que adoptaron un nuevo hijo, alguien con un pasado triste que me rompió el corazón. Ojalá esté nuevo integrante.. a quien llamaron Levi 🤍, tenga también su libro.
Amé a esta familia.
Y lo mejor? Ese epílogo nos prepara para lo que vendrá en la historia de Aileen y Rush.

Dios este libro aunque tenga pocas páginas ha logrado batir mis emociones (de nuevo), el 99% del libro me la pasé feliz, emocionada, enamorándose cada ves más de Lachlan y Valencia, Aileen que se robo mi corazon es tan linda 💞 , Levi que me lleno de orgullo como superó sus pesadillas (es un lindo, igual que su padre 🤗).
Todo iba bien hasta ese JODIDO EPILOGO, el inicio del epílogo me hizo llorar, gritar y patalear de felicidad pero esos malditos ultimos parrafos me dejaron sin cordura.

As usual, this was so good. I wish it was longer. Aileen's story is gonna be insane. I can't imagine how Lachlan is going to handle whatever events that will happen in the next book. I'm so glad Lachlan finally started sending his "friends" as more than just his protégés. I'm so excited for the next release.

This short novella takes you on a journey in the advanced years of Lachlan and Valencia. Setting the stage for the next instalment in the series. Seeing the cold and calculated man show an ounce of emotion was wonderful to read. Great read.
