First, my review: “This was a fun book. I am glad that I read it. You should try it too.”

Second, I am not a bot...at least I don’t think I am. Yes this is copy pasta (just learned that term, so fun!) simply because I feel like any book I read deserves acknowledgement but at the same time my feelings on reviews conflict with the normal review process.

I enjoyed this book, so my goal is to promote it and help the author. If you are a potential reader, just stop reading now and take the above as all you need to know. I am not going to share my reasoning, thoughts on the book, or any opinions that would influence your decision to read it. It is my opinion that Art needs to be experienced at an individual level. You are the only one that can determine what you like and don’t like. Don’t let others make that decision for you. You should definitely read the book and completely ignore all of the reviews. Or not if you don’t think this book is for you. That choice is all yours and the beauty of art appreciation. You are a much better judge of what you will like than anyone here.

If you are a member of the IAK Guild (thanks, Jason) or part of the review police, feel free to criticize me and challenge my philosophy on reviewing art. I think we all love a good debate. The forums are open and I welcome your comments. I was wrong in my previous request to get you to stop. Your blatant disregard for that request has led to some fun discussions. Growth is important for us all.

Cheers

Good old fashioned space opera.

Seriously space opera at its finest! Alien races and planets, political intrigues, and weird powers. Sort of reminds me of the vorkosigan saga (which is VERY high praise). Looking forward to continuing adventuring with Uprising.

Great series

This story line gets better with each book. The change from fantasy to outer space between books one and two was surprising and fun. I am looking forward to the next installment of this series. Highly recommended.

Great ending, more expansion of the universe they live in, better interaction between the mixed races in the Uprising. This series, came from fantasy medieval VR, to sci-fi theme ending in a Star Treck scheme so far, wondering what else the author has in store for us. Great story so far, loving the characters interaction, the pacing and plot.

Book three

Mistakes: I didn't find anything wrong, but honestly I just skimmed the book.

Plot: The politics are as childish as the characters and don't make sense.

Characters: Overly childish and simplistic characters that I personally can't stand.

4/10

Getting better

The books are getting better as they go on, I don’t mind the language use but I’m Australian and even I think it’s a bit much sometimes. I’ve noticed in this book it’s dropped off a lot which I’m glad about. I also enjoy the way the MC is getting more intelligent as time goes on. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

A hilarious journey through space, filled with action and a delightful dose of humor. The witty banter and comical mishaps of the misfit crew of the Uprising bring levity to intense moments, making the story engaging and entertaining. If you're seeking a science fiction adventure that will keep you entertained and laughing, this book is a must-read.

Great read

I love the evolution of this story. The dark parts make it more real while the funny dialogue keeps it from being morose. Looking forward to many more books in this are and from this author

Another fun right

More of the same for this series - in a good way, lol. The plot continues to develop and takes a few unexpected (for me, at least) twists and turns. Not complicated writing, but it was definitely enjoyable 😉

What a ride to the dark side

Not going to give away the ending but this is an insane journey of misfits and outcasts. At least those in power think they are not worthy. It's time to right the wrongs and state an uprising ! Great litrpg series

Third is the charm!

This series just keeps getting better. The crew grows and so does the adventure. I love the races that are introduces in the books and the banter between characters. The universe Kevin created is so much fun to explore and I can't wait to read the crew's next adventure.
