Boys want attention. Men want respect. Legends just don’t care....

Nate Temple is finally taking some time off to appreciate the finer things in life...like his new Valkyrie, Kára. But their weeks of romance come to a swift and lethal end when assassins invade the sanctity of Chateau Falco.

Not only that, but Nate finds himself neck-deep in politics when he is framed for murdering one of the most notorious Academy justices to ever walk the Earth, and the legendary suits of magical armor belonging to Camelot are suddenly up for grabs.

New faces - both good and bad - step into the game, and Nate soon finds himself at the center of a vortex of chaos leading to war in Camelot with the fae queens, on Earth with the Academy wizards, and potentially in Asgard with the Norse pantheon.

The more chaotic things get, the more certain Nate becomes that the Masters are finally starting to make their moves out in the open, no longer content to hide in the shadows. They want to force Nate to act....

And they might not live to regret his decision to agree.

Because only a savage beast of a man could believe that personally kicking off the wars - all at the same time - is the safest course of action. Will he reconsider the wisdom of that decision when it finally brings him face-to-face with one of the Masters - the very person behind all the chaos in the first place?

Especially when he learns that this chaos is only the opening move in their grand game of death, and that his foe has been practicing for many, many years for this precise moment. The chance to defeat Nate Temple, once and for all.

"Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt." (Sun Tzu)

Wow, I didn't think that Silvers could surprise on this level anymore. This book turns up the volume of snark and just incredible laugh out loud moments. And no templeverse book is complete without a plot twist that you don't see coming and this may be one of the biggest ones of all.

This book kicks off with a Bang!!!

Wow. Book 15. It's been a long ride on the Temple bandwagon and one thing I've realised is I'm Just not done yet! I always want more. And Savage delivered. This book was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. After Nate has had a few peaceful weeks, with Kara, shit hits the fan In a big way. Enemies on all sides start attacking and a new ally joins the group.

My favourite Moments were with Nate and Makayla and Nate and Aiden. There are laugh out loud funny moments and grab a tissue emotional moments. Big changes are ahead and this book feels like the staging ground for the war to come.

I finished this book feeling a tad emotional. The plot itself invokes it, but i also was left with a feeling of how much things have already changed in st Louis. I found myself thinking back to the beginning and of how characters like Yahn and Tory and Alex have changed. And the most significant changes in Nate. So much has happened and after Carnage its almost a relief to go back to Falco and st Louis. This book brought some of the old Nate back. Some of his "happier days" swagger was back and his old Fire and ice whips.

I had fun reading this book. In true Shayne fashion this book has more twists and turns than a cheap Garden house, but it is worth the Ride. I definitely recommend this book.

So, how to describe Savage...
Some of us were discussing authors and varied twists in their books. By now, many of us expect to be bludgeoned with WTF mode. As I read, my head was on a swivel. I'm checking left, and right, and being aware of horror movies with their rules and cliches, I'm checking up and down. I was determined to catch the imminent and EXPECTED WTF before I was fondled percussively.
Imagine my consternation when I felt undue pressure upon my "I need an adult!!" region, and I look down to see that I'm locked in the embrace of a WTF reacharound.
So, prepare your brains and gird your loins. You're in for a phrasing-intentional ride with this one. I'd recommend a codpiece or other form of genital protection.

SAVAGE (Book #15 Nate Temple, Series): SHAYNE SILVERS.

SHAYNE SILVERS:
THE MAN BEHIND THE MAGIC!!!

HE SHOOTS, HE SCORES!!
ANOTHER #1 BEST SELLER UPON RELEASE!

With his Tiny Balls Against the wall, Nate's Grinder & Nasher to get to the truth. Who's Aiden & Who's betting against him? You'll have to read it to believe it.

Wow, Silvers' You've Gotta Be Kidding Me The Nate Temple Series Is Explosive & Just Keeps Getting Better And Better!

Savage is like an onion, layer upon layer, upon layer & just when you think there's nothing left to give there's more!
More layers, more depth, more flavour, on every level!

Sir Silvers, you are a master at your craft and my favourite author. I adore your writing style & love the subtle & not so subtle differences in this book.
This book sets a slower pace than the norm but shines with the usual Silvers sparkle & twinkle when the light hits it just so. Its the dramatic, the flair, the essence, the suspense, it keeps most guessing & is always there!
It engages you with it's exaggerated well known over the top chain of events leading a supporting cast of diverse, unique supernatural characters chomping at the bit as they race through the craziness to the climactic carnage & chaos of Shayne Silvers The Templeverse!

Great character development, more so in this book than any other I've read in the series to date.
Many of our favourites are facing deep & personal struggles, some moral, some not, but all showing tremendous growth, foresight & maturity, even by the youngest of the Temple clan.

The storytelling is simply dynamic & you Sir, are a marvelling magician, my friend.
I truly appreciate your talent & the lengths you go to & the personal sacrifices you make to perfect your craft.
Even though this book sees a slower pace, 'Savage' truly brings 'The Savage' out in each & every one of our beloved characters and on multi-faceted fronts.

There's all the usual thrill a minute fast-paced action with Magic, Supes, Were's Fae, God's, Wizards & Magical Creatures & Critters of every description.
Its a continuous revolving door with a non-stop roller-coaster ride of emotions, taking you from highs to lows and everything in between comprised of love, hate, bliss & rage. Friendship & the dependency of having your mates back & knowing they'll be there, you can always count on them. There's blind trust, trust issues, suspicion, chaos, carnage, subterfuge & trickery being faced on a multi-faceted front of enemies, at every turn, lurking behind every corner & within every shadow. Fights, battles & wars rage on within & without, while at the same time quite touching personal, private moments develop & strengthen bonds of love & respect during downtime.

Master Temple, has come a long way from the arrogant, celebrity arse we first met in book one.
The guy with a huge ego & chip on his shoulder bigger than his bank balance. Snd a mouth that often opens, just to change feet.
But now he's changing, continuing to grow & evolving. Not so much in the courts of public opinion, but to those in the know, those keeping the world of Freaks hidden from Regulars, he is a caring, big-hearted hero, the Catalyst,
The Horseman of Hope who rides not on a steel horse, but a blood-thirsty, rainbow hating, talking Unicorn steed named Grimm who unfortunately does not appear in the story! And together along with their ragtag crew of misfit friends & fellow Horsemen, will they be the answer to our prayers? The savours with the Omega War fast approaching? But only if they live long enough to make it through Savage.

With Nate, an ever-evolving work in progress & the addition of the children in his life in Alice, Alex, Mackayla & Calvin, is it any wonder this 'Fratt Bratt' has finally hung up his partying rich kid persona & grown into the loveable, dependable well rounded young man & hero we know today?

Nate's loved & lost, fought tooth & nail for every win, loss & draw along the way. He's had his ass whooped, almost as many times as he's handed out an ass whopping, making many mistakes along the road.
But throughout it all, he's held tight to his morals, his core value belief system. What's right, what's wrong and worn his heart on his sleeve the whole time doing it for the love of his friends, his city, town, the citizens of the world & his duty of care to all in every realm within the universe.

This book has it all, there's compassion, comradely, headaches & heartache, deception & devastation, loss & rage, wins, losses & triumphant times.
This story will pull on the heartstrings like none before it. Taking both Nate and us the reader, to new heights.
A place Nate's never been before 'True Love!'
And boy, he's got it bad, but not just love for & of the right woman, but love as a father, a father figure, a friend, a citizen, its transcends everyone & everything, the culmination of everything he's been fighting for.

We see the softer side of Nate, filled with sweet & touching moments. Times where not much is said, but conveys much, being fully felt. There's love, lust, passion, he's caring & considerate, but don't be fooled by his nicities, his savagery & protectiveness comes out too, showing his dial nature, the light & dark, sweet & savage in him. You'll love the role-playing the fun, the games & the comedic timing to a T.

This book covers every aspect of the spectrum and at last Nate meets his match, No, I don't mean in Kára, but a truly worthy opponent & nemesis like none he's faced before!
This is his equal & opposite in every way that matters. A Moriarty to his Sherlock, a Voldermort to his Potter!
He/She who can not be named (you know, 'cos of spoilers, not because you'll die by saying it or bring a blight on the world).

As much as I loved this story, I did find this one a little predictable and worked out the big twists, one early & one late, but before announced. Having read several Shayne Silver novels now, I'm beginning to understand the authors writing style, Sorry Silvers, but I'm getting good at picking out your storylines & easter eggs, but you do successful pull the wool over my eyes at least once a book, if not more, pulling that elusive rabbit out of the hat that gets me. & make me want to throttle you. So, thank you! Not many authors/writers fool me these days. I usually see it, coming miles away.

Completely and utterly upstaged in this book Nate took a bit of a back seat playing more of an equal role.
This was not just the story of Nate, he truly shares the limelight with the entire cast in book 15 and is dwarfed, dominated & eclipsed by multiple characters including Kára, Mac, Ashley & introducing 3 favourite new characters that readers will fall in love with, Grinder, Nasher, & Aiden!

Grinder & Nasher are the zaniest, craziest goats in any of the 9 realms. Think Bill & Ted, but B&T with a chronic death wish who lead the charge enlightening some of the more serious & deadly moments, defusing with slick & sick comedic one-liners that'll have you rolling on the floor kidding & killing yourself laughing!

And then there's Aiden, a wizard, slightly older than Nate, but one of mediocre powers. Born and raised an orphan at the Academy of Justices, Aiden was not afforded the same rights as his colleagues. A part of the Academy, but not at the same time, a sad & lonely tale of existence, one that allows Aiden deep within your heart.

But in saying all of that Shayne you Sir are a Sh**te! You didn't just make me cry,
I was wailing, like a Banshee!
Tears freely falling from my eyes, streaming down my cheeks & neck.
It felt as if Uluru, suddenly took up residence in my throat! I could barely swallow & had tissues stuck up my nose to stop the flow of snot running into my mouth and onto my book when blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah!

It was right up there, maybe even surpasses the other most emotional piece of writing in this series. The sudden death of a beloved mother of two, in an early book.
I've read books:
#0.5 Fairy Tale thru to #6.5 Daddy Duty, #14 Carnage & #15 Savage.
But am yet to read books
#7 Wild Side thru to #13 Ascension in Nate's Series.
Yes, I own them all, in book & audio formats, but my reading order is all arse about face with Shayne Silvers books because I joined his ARC Team late!
Seriously, had I known how incredible these stories truly were, I would have joined back in 2016 when I 1st joined the Den. Maybe bumping an author or 2 for Shayne.
I wanted to read them desperately, didn't have the time to add 1 more author to my ARC/Beta reading list.
And Shayne is so cool, he told me he'd hold a place for me till I was ready & was true to his word 2 years later.
A great bloke, who now my all-time favourite American male author.
During book 1 Obsidian Son, he had me hooked, but Blood Debts had me by the short & curlies & hasn't let go since!
I think the ARC forms are signed in blood, some sort of binding contract, once your in, your in for life! There's no going back! Lol!

I RATE SAVAGE 4.9 ⭐ OUT OF 5 ⭐
Boy, is it leading into something I've been dying to see, The Elders realm.
Onto bigger & better Odyssey's.
Can't wait for book 16!

I highly recommend this book, series & author. Run out & buy his books today, you won't regret, Happy Reading your about to start a long & incredible literacy journey of a lifetime.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author's and also purchase a copy & this is my fair, honest and impartial review as always.

Nate Temple cutting loose and releasing his wild side? Okaaay, let’s just inject pure adrenaline into an already exciting series, why don’t ya? Frankly, I don’t know how Shayne Silvers does it, but with Savage he’s now 15 books into his Nate Temple Series (nevermind the associated books) and its as innovative, exciting and fun as book 1. Pretty incredible, frankly, abs easy to highly recommend.

Savage

Silvers does it again with another home run. I really enjoyed Savage. This one wasn’t the follow-up to a cliffhanger, so it felt like a story in its own right compared to some of the last few (which were still amazing, but this was a good change). It shows that Silvers isn’t using a gimmick of cliffhangers to perpetuate his tales. He can manage it with good, solid storytelling.

We get a few new characters who are incredibly entertaining. We get to flesh out some pre-existing characters and get to know them better. My favorite part? We get to see Nate and Kara as a couple, and they are the epitome of a couple: they strengthen one another in the best of ways.

There is plenty of action and comedy to go around, a mixture that Silvers has excelled in over the years. Kicking ass and causing laughs (I suggest this for a new Templeverse t-shirt). And Savage? Yes, by the end you really see what was so Savage about the story. Whew. Did NOT see that coming. I can’t wait for the next installment. Until then? We have Savage to keep us company.

Our favorite paranoid, snark-slinging wizard is back in the latest installment of the Nate Temple series. When a seemingly innocent Yulemas delivery creates a corridor of chaos at Chateau Falco, Nate must face face his inner demons and make a conscious choice on how he’s going to move forward into his future. That decision cannot be made lightly, as his choices always have consequences that others must bear, including the very outcome of the looming Omega War. As Nate’s enemies begin to outweigh his allies, attacks on multiple fronts, secrets to die for, and treasures to defend start to pile up, Nate has to, once again, choose the right battle with the true enemy. And if he chooses wrong? Trusts the wrong person? Well, then the world as we know it will become a world of Knightmares... Grab your copy and call in sick!

I have a difficult time with reviews. I never know what to say without giving too much away. I LOVE the Nate Temple series and all the interconnecting series that go along with it. The snark, the humor, the quirky characters that I want to hang out with - I just get lost in the stories and have a great time.

We've been with Nate through 15 of his own books (and a few appearances in Callie and Quinn's books) and have watched him grow and change into the man he is today, for better or worse. His journey hasn't been easy, but it's been enjoyable to read. This book started a bit slow at first, but once it gained momentum it didn't stop until it exploded in a surprise twist at the end. It is definitely another must-read from Mr. Silvers!

Well

This one did have me roaring laughing, but that "twist"? Saw it coming from miles away, and that's so weird, because I never usually do, so I don't know if the storytelling was lacking or if I'm just getting better at sussing it out, but whatever, It made me laugh. I'll keep reading them until they don't.

Nate never seems to find himself in a peaceful life for very long, and Savage is no different in that respect. In fact, the title Savage actually fits the contents with remarkable aplomb. This book had me laughing hysterically (Shayne has some epic one-liners), and a few pages later, tearing up with heart-wrenching sadness. Savage runs the gamut of every emotion you can think of, plus some more, and is probably the best Nate book yet. If you haven't caught up in the Templeverse, you really need to, as this book ties up a few loose ends in previous books while also creating new lines of inquiry. Well worth the time investmen

A Savage entry in the Nate Temple Series

Savage is without a doubt one of the best books in the 15 volume Nate Temple series. I could say that it features amazing action sequences (which it does) or that it has some spit your drink out hilarity (which it also does) but the thing I love so much about it is the emotional depth that is on the page. With this one it is deep and moving to the extreme. If I were to tell you what the core of this book is, its two words, trust and family. Both concepts are delved into deeply in many different ways. Think about both of them from beginning to end, its worth it. Now go and read this book.

Just when you think you know how he's going to hit you with the news, Shayne finds a new delivery system. It was like the difference in my pregnancies between my son and my daughter. I was expecting whiplash like we felt in the last book of this series... and instead there was that slow subtle push that you don't notice until there's a foot lodged in your ribcage. Figuratively speaking. In this latest installment we learn more about Nate's soft side, we find out about family of all kinds, and we definitely get a great big case of the Feels. Pass the tissue. And the whiskey.

Wow....just wow....

This is an amazing continuation of the story. Nate is back and he's trying to figure out everything that's been going on, when the Masters are, and dealing with what happens here. It picks up at a fast pace, and I'd definitely make sure you've read the previous Nate book before this one. Honestly, I'd recommend a re-read of the series as a whole, because little things and nuances are starting to come together. An excellent read and I can't wait till the next one.

I don’t know why I think I can just start one of these books and put it down whenever I need a break. Well, I could not put it down. This latest in the world of Nate Temple started with a bonk…er, bang…well, you’ll see…and it didn’t let go until the very end. Poor Nate is up to his satchel in trouble, and he can’t figure out from where this time. By the time I was done with this book, I had whiplash from all the shenanigans and secrets in this one. And, boy, one is a doozy! I don’t know how this author pulls these wonderful books from his twisted and vivid imagination, but I hope he never stops. A worthy addition to a worthy series. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Wow

SAVAGE is rated Hysterical for adult language, adult situations, unique violence, harming of mythological creatures, explosions of epic proportions, destruction of anything and everything, and over usage of the word blue.
Read at your own peril if you cannot handle snarkity snark snark snark.
SAVAGE will also leave you with abnormal questioning illness, fall over dead syndrome, misplaced case of the feels, the desire to avenge the reader and the need for strong relief.

Been a very long day. Once this books downloaded on to my kindle fire, I couldn't put it down! Now, normally, I can read a Shayne Silvers book in a couple hours, but I laughed so hard at times, I had no option but to take a break. Hydration is key people! Goats! Who would have thought goats would be testing the strength of my bladder?! I laughed. I screeched. I may have stubbed my toes on the way to the kettle, and I certainly felt this book. Shayne Silvers has yet again added another dimension to the story that I never saw coming. Well done sir. Well done!

This one needed a warning and safety instructions. I can help with that:
THIS BOOK MAY DAMAGE YOUR KINDLE/DEVICE/BOOK
Drinking and reading may result in spewing. To prevent moisture damage, mind your beverage. If you must drink while reading, I recommend this method -
1. Remove eyes from page
2. Sip beverage
3. SWALLOW
4. Resume reading ONLY when mouth is empty.
You'll thank me later. SAVAGE is insanely, incredibly, savagely fun!

What can I say about Savage? Not much because cussing in reviews is FROWNED UPON IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT! Everything I want to say contains cussing or spoilers. Grab a drink, keep the bottle handy, and settle in because you're not getting up for a while once you crack this one open. Oh, and if you have plans tomorrow I advise cancelling them. Your brain is going to need a day to process the twists and turns and to recover.

If you've ever read Shayne Silvers you'll know what a fantastic author he is. What is even more stunning is how his books get better with each new chapter of his stories. Friends I've missed make a hilarious return with new characters making a crucial appearance.
If you want a book that keeps you engrossed for hours Savage is the one you want. I laughed and cried and just thoroughly enjoyed an amazing story.

I laughed, I cried I got mad

This author delivered another piece of the Templeverse puzzle. I enjoyed this particular book so much that I read until I finished at 2:30a.m. The PG 13 scenes have increased and he does use “colorful” language. (I do too). This book really started our book group speculating about where Shayne will take the next foray into this crazy world. ILOVED IT

Nates best adventure yet

Shayne Silvers delivers yet another masterpiece in this installment of the Templeverse. The wide range of emotions you will experience at the hands of this master wordsmith is unfathomable. From joy to sorrow, from excitement to fear...every emotion will be brought to bear and when you think you're emotionally exhausted the roller-coaster starts up again. Grab your tissues and whatever comfort foods are available for you will need them.

Savage is the perfect name for Shayne Silvers book 15 in the Nate Temple series. That’s exactly what it is, Savage on your heart, your emotions on your mind! This book has so many twists, turns and switchbacks that I was worried I'd walk off a cliff while sitting in my chair reading. It almost made me dizzy!
