When you're a prime Alpha in Rathsima Proper, you either work the pens of the intergalactic slave market, or you live in them.
For Elias and Lorin, the situation is more tenuous than most. A relationship between two Alpha males isn't widely accepted.
Eli doesn't care what anyone thinks. He adores Lorin and all his gruffness, but instinct demands more than his partner can give.
When Eli decides to save a defective female Omega from disposal, their devotion to one another will be put to the test.
Lorin isn't interested in the tough little red-headed woman his partner has set his eye on, but he'll do anything to give Eli what he wants, even if saving her means risking everything.
They never expected a woman to be the missing key to their happiness, but now that she's here? Everything has changed.

Eli's Hellcat, formerly part of 'Auctioned: An Omegaverse Anthology', is a unique MMF story about two Alpha males and the female Omega that changes their lives. The introduction has been altered, and a previously unpublished Epilogue has been added to the original story featured in the anthology. Please be advised. This book features MF, MM, and MMF interactions and deals with sensitive topics that may be offensive to some
Merel Pierce was born and raised in the Midwest, USA. Ever the country girl, her hobbies have evolved to include nature photography, animal care, and exploring the great outdoors.
She is a crafter/art hobbiest, who spends her time writing, working on art projects, and keeping her two rescue dogs; a Schipperke mix and a Jack Russel, out of trouble.
She has always been drawn to the duality of life, learning early on to appreciate both the light and the dark of what the world has to offer. She believes there is beauty and meaning to be found in both the struggles and joys life brings and strives to share that with her writing.
Merel most enjoys writing dark, complex tales with raw, realistic characters. Her stories may not always close with a happy ending, but she will always make you feel something by the time it's done. Whether that feeling is horror or happiness, you'll have to wait and see...
I originally read Eli's Hellcat in the Auctioned: An Omegaverse Anthology and I really enjoyed it. So I was very excited when I learned it was rereleased with an Epilogue. Now while I enjoyed it a second time it was still too short and I was disappointed that the author chose to have Magda's heat off page and we were not involved with their bonding. This would have been the perfect opportunity to see the three of them together. The Epilogue was cute and I'm glad Lorin is finally accepting Magda.
Reading this story a second time (after discovering it in the Auctioned anthology) was like seeing an old friend again after months of lockdown. I loved it. It felt warm and welcoming even though there's a lot of tension that runs through both the story and epilogue.
The things I loved when I read the story the first time - the unusual pairing of two Alphas, the strong affection they have for each other and the lengths they're willing to go for each other, the claustrophobic setting that both compresses and releases the characters - they were all here again, but now there's more with an epilogue that amplifies the best part of the story - Lorin's love for and devotion to Eli.
The author took some serious chances with this story. It's not typical Omegaverse. But they pay off in such a big way. It really is the perfect story and one I'll re-read over and over. Highly recommended.
This was only 46 pages. It’s a promising start to a book but I have a concern. One of the characters is gay. I’m worried this series will not respect that sexual orientation. My chief worry is that the woman in this boo will “cure” him and turn him bisexual.
I fully support bisexuality as a sexual orientation. However, time and again we have seen the troupe of a “good” woman “curing” a man.
This was such a lovely, original, and action packed story from Merel Pierce. It takes talent to write a story with three individuals with different wants and needs. Very well done!
Eli’s Hellcat is a short story that takes a completely different tack than usual on Alpha/Omega relationships. I guess there are more unique OV versions out there than I was aware of, but I had never read an M/M/f menage version of Omegaverse before. I’ll look forward to reading more of this trope, too! This story involves two Alphas who work for the auction house, and an Omega female who has been condemned to “disposal.” That means the government has determined she is no longer useful and she will literally be disposed of, killed by incineration, along with a group of others given the same woeful sentence. This tale explains how her “disposal” was prevented, and how the three characters try to meld together into “one fucked-up, happy little family.” I truly loved it, and I would like to read more about this happy little family and their future! 5 stars
Plot: Lorin and Eli are both alphas who work the at the auction house where the omegas are kept. They are a couple, but Eli would like to add an omega to the mix. In fact, he has his eye on Magda, who is being "disposed of" shortly, as nobody has a use for an infertile omega. He gets Lorin to agree to rescue her, and they bring her home. They have to figure out this new dynamic, but they're well on their way.
Character development: Lorin - the world's biggest grouch! I loved that Eli accepted him, grumpy personality and all, and obviously Lorin loved Eli so much that he brought an (unwanted by him) omega into their family. This made for an unusual dynamic, but by the end, when Eli was gone and Lorin had to take care of Magda, you could see that he was starting to adjust.
Part of a series: No (although it is set in the Auctioned world and was originally part of an anthology Auctioned: An Omegaverse Anthology
Would I read more from this author/in this series: yes
This was a short story that I had already read in the anthology, but I love omegaverse, and this is a great author, so I bought this book anyways. I liked the second reading, as it refreshed my memory of both the story and the universe from the anthology. I really like m/f only omegaverse generally, as I feel it gets too messy the more people you have (I guess that's true of anything!), but it was a well-written story.
This was a quick, kind of violent, and yet kind of sweet read. In this genre, I tend to read more MF relationship so it was different to read MMF where Lorin had no interest at all in Magda other than that she was what Elias wanted. His tolerance goes to show how much he'll do for the one he loves. Really enjoyable and worth checking out if you are in between reads.
Elias worked as a guard in a despicable place. He and Loren had a thing, two alphas was different. Elias had taken to Magda and wanted a female. Loren gave in and acquired her for him. How will it work out?
I guess because it was so short it just didn't feel like a whole story. There could of been more. And this isn't MMF romance. Only one of the guys is with the heroine and the other is gay.
I wish this was a full length novel!!! I absolutely loved the relationship with Eli and Lorin. Then actually fighting as forplay ummm YES. Not to forget the mind blowing sex all three have together! I would love to have had seen more non sexual relationship/ friendship/care provider grow between Lorin and Magda. I have never read a book where the male is faced with this dilemma, let alone an alpha, but lorin really captured my interest bec we all know what will happen with a heterosexual alpha with an omega lol. This was really unique short story! Just wish it had more lorin
