This was a ntma and unfortunately I didn't vibe with the story. This book is for people just starting their romance journey and want to be eased in.
For me who is well versed in romance the execution fell flat. The plot was unclear. The couple had been together for a few years, and now had the opportunity to move out of state with their job. They were not on the same page with the status of their relationship prior to this move. The communication was poor, however when their relationship is tested the mmc decides he needs to step up his game and fast. Ehh it just gave predictable. Unfortunately, I didn't feel a genuine connection to the couple, the plot could have been more streamlined, and overall the writing left a lot to be desired. My recommendation is to flesh out the plot first, be clear on what you want the readers to walk away with. Lastly, the writing was elementary and the flow was lacking, so working on making the story cohesive would help as well.
Pretty good read. This was a first read from this author for me and I enjoyed it, but I felt as though something was missing. It took another man being interested in Kat for Reese to give her exactly what she wanted from him. Glad they got their happily ever after. I’d definitely read another book by this author.
I really enjoyed this story. The characters and the storyline was realistic. I could see myself as Kat. It was cute, it was smart and oh so sexy. I look forward to reading more from this author.
This short read is a feel-good holiday read that leans fully into romance and festive vibes. Going into the story, I honestly expected it to take a much more dramatic turn ‘cause Kareem?!?! Chile!!!! But, I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t. Instead of heavy conflict, the book delivers just enough drama to keep things interesting while focusing more on connection, intimacy, and the joy of the season.
Now listen… I’m not gonna act like both of our main characters didn’t have me tilting my head at certain moments. Maurice showed some underlying insecurities that definitely influenced how he reacted to Kat. And Kat? Baby was a little dense when it came to how she was moving in public. Some moments had me thinking, “Ma’am… if you don’t go sit cho ssa down somewhere!”
Overall, this is a solid holiday romance for readers who want a quick, passionate, read without emotional overload.
What a great read! “In A Christmas Mood (A Holiday Snack) was just the inspiration Mr Maurice needed to step up his game forever …😂🤣.Mhmm, it’s a different tune when the competition for your lover heart is visible/tangible! …Chapter 1, he just wanted a warm body & a roommate …Chapter 5: Reese, 🫨WTH🕺🏾💃🏽⁉️… before Chapter 7: 💰💸Operation insta-engagement 💍& quickie wedding 👰🏾was in full effect😂🤣! ….The Power is in the 🐈Ladies 🤷🏾♀️‼️
Very cute and romantic of course I wanted more didn't want it to end there...had me worried for a minute thought the striper was Kareem... then I thought he was going to be at the weddingand crash it... glad it turned out to be a great romance story
I like it! Hopefully Reese’s jealousy doesn’t get any worse! I hope Kareem’s ass don’t become a serious problem! If DJ Shawn was the DJ then every party was lit🕺🏾💃🏾! I can’t wait for Part 2!
The story was a nice short love story about a couple, a few weeks away from moving to a new city when trouble lured its Ugly head. Thankfully the plot failed....
This is my first time reading this author, but definitely not the last! This was a short story but full of drama, love, family and friendship! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and highly recommend it!! Kudos, Ka’-Dee!! 💜
Reese and Kat's story was cute. I hate that it took an ex resurfacing to make him realize that Kat was everything he needed. All and all it 3nded well, she got her wish and married Reese in the end with a beautiful ceremony on Christmas Eve.
