This book was written as an easy read for upper elementary students and for parents/teachers to read aloud to younger children. The whole purpose is to start building Social Emotional Vocabulary and start conversations that will build better relationships, self confidence, and self motivation and responsibility.
This thoughtfully illustrated book is perfect for helping elementary school children, and their teachers, tackle Social Emotional Learning. By breaking up important topics into small alphabet bites, the author makes it easy to start meaningful discussions with small helpful rhymes.
This book is perfect for all young children, parents, and teachers. We enjoyed it. I am thankful for the copy I received through Goodreads.
From the introduction and A to Z; this was one of the sweetest books I've read in awhile. A reminder to be humble and kind, it's great reading for adults and children.
UPDATE
My mom shared this with a few of her coworkers and they fell in love with it. They were moved and inspired by it and hope to order a number of them to have in the lobby of their clinic.
I won this book as a goodreads giveaway. This was a book about the characteristics that we should all constantly display throughout our lives. It's a reminder of the basic concepts of being human, discussing behaviors that we should follow on a daily basis, towards others and also for ourselves. A great book for elementary aged kids, a gentle reminder of simply being kind to others and how to be happy with yourself too. I recommend this book for sure!
I received my copy free through Goodreads. It is very well done, and perfect for little ones, especially pre-schoolers. I'm passing this along to a pre-school teacher.
