STRANGER DANGER is the third book in the STRANGER series, although it is not necessary to read these in order, as a "summary" of what you need to know is briefly given. That being said, aside from the main character(s), these could be stand-alone novels.

Legion is a teacher; raised in an extremely abusive environment, he (and his brothers, now known as Water and Fire for the way they died) give "lessons" to deviants that do not follow the rules.

I see Legion as sort of an avenging, dark angel. Despite what he does, his reasons make perfect sense--at least, to him. This book shows a lot of character development, changes, and even comedic banter. While this author is always strong on his characterization, I think this is the best yet.

In this novel, Legion tackles a town in the midst of a gang-war. Collings shows us the vast differences in the players here; from the racists, gang members, innocent people in the middle of it all, and a police chief that really wants to make a positive difference, we have all kinds of mental attitudes represented.

I was thrilled to receive an ARC of this novel from the author. All opinions are completely my own.

Highly recommended.

WOW…I mean…WOW. Each story in Michaelbrent Collings Stranger series keeps getting better and better, but seeing my rating system only goes to 5…I have a full page of notes and I think that means I’ll be doing some editing. Don’t want to give away too much…only want to teeeeease you. 🙂

Not everyone that Legion seeks out dies, but you better be on your best behavior. If he has any doubts….

Legion is one of those characters I fall in love with and never want to lose, never want his story to end, even though I wonder how it will. He reminds me of Dexter, meting out his own version of vigilante justice. How can his ending be a good one? I don’t see it, yet I want it. Like all people, he is neither all good or all bad. Where his journeys are taking him, I don’t think even he knows, but there is a destination he seeks.

Warning…Set aside some time. Once I began, I couldn’t stop. Listening to him talk to Fire, Water and The One had my head spinning, at times. Each individual voice has it’s own personality. But…something is changing. He doesn’t know what, but he feels it all the same.

There are discriminating, racist, sexist, gangs, white supremicist elements, but isn’t that like real life? A mother trying to save her and her son, a Wolf after revenge…and Legion. Even with all the danger and violence…no punches are pulled… in Michaelbrent Collings Stranger series, there are moments of levity.

Michaelbrent Collings Stranger series is at the top of its class. Love, love, love Legion. He is such a tortured, complex individual. I don’t know how Michael takes each story to a new level of breath taking suspense and so many book surprises, they even last until the last page. I am desperate for more!

What a fabulous TV series The Stranger stories would make!!!! I’m sure it would do fantastic as movies, but I am a TV addict. Is anyone listening? Who would you choose to play the lead? I’m going to have to think on that.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Stranger Danger by Michaelbrent Collings.

This is the third book with the character of Legion, a super-crazy serial killer who targets those who “need to be taught a lesson.” It’s not necessary to read the previous two (I still haven’t read the second), but it does have some vague spoilers for the first two.

The main character of the book is really Candela Garcia, a cop assigned to the bad part of town. She puts a lot of effort into serving the community while taking a bunch of crap from bad cops and gang members and her increasingly delinquent son. Legion watches from the shadows, waiting for the right moment to step in.

We see lots of Legion’s craziness and observations, but he spends very little time in this book torturing people. There’s another psycho-but-sane villain who does most of the plotting and tormenting. So it’s more of a crime book than a horror book. It’s drama and suspense with a sense of impending doom hanging overhead.

I received a free ARC for review.

Language: Some occasional moderate language
Sexual Content: None
Violence: Lots of fighting, beating; some torture

Very addicting character....characters?

As this story goes on I love how Legion and his 'brothers' continue to developed.

Hopefully Michaelbrent Collings continues with Legion for a good while longer. Especially since this one ends at a cliffhanger. Even the end credits are entertaining. Book good.. Me like book. Book booky book book!

Had the amazing opportunity to read this before official release and OMG 😱 you won’t find any spoilers in this review as I hate reading spoilers myself so won’t ever give anything away in my reviews (sorry not sorry lol)
This book is the 3rd book in the Stranger series and although I’m pretty sure you could read this as a stand alone book and easily follow it, you would be better off reading the first two books Strangers and Stranger still first to give you the full picture and understanding, they’re both awesome books and will enhance your experience reading this one!
After reading the first two I went into this book kinda thinking I knew how it was going to play out but I was so very wrong!
The character development in the book is fantastic, you really feel you know the characters, the story keeps you on the edge of your seat and keeps you turning the pages wanting more.
The story itself is believable (not that you want to believe events in this book could happen in real life) and invokes so many emotions while reading it!
The ending blew me away, I was so not ready for that, where the hell did that even come from ? Again no spoilers but what a way to end!!
I enjoyed every second of the Stranger journey and look forward to reading more work from this author, go look up Strangers and start your journey you won’t regret it!

I can’t get enough of of this series! Legion is a vigilante dark angel, super power, and completely insane. This new adventure finds Legion and his ghost brothers Fire and Water in a new town. Legion senses there are lessons that need to be taught here but something else is happening.

Fire and Water are acting differently, Legion can’t put his finger on it but senses something ahead.

Meanwhile, in this new godforsaken city especially in an area called the Downs, gangs and drugs have taken over. Officer Candela Garcia is fairly new on the police force but wants to make a difference. She’s tired from running from the past with her son Chase. She’s hoping that chapter is over.

It isn’t.

No spoilers but the story really touches a lot areas about race discrimination and with the Aryan Brotherhood as the main bad guy in this story we also learn a lot about how hate can be used for power and dominance. Something Legion has no patience for as you will see.

The story spends much of the time building up the story of Candela and Chase, their back story and why they are the focus of this particular hate group led by a maniac named Wolf.

When Legion is finally given his time to shine, he takes over the show with his “Lessons”. He has no match.

Fire and Water do add the comic parts with their dialogue and demands that Legion patiently puts up with because he actually needs them both.

Then the double endings will blow you away! Along with it , the promise (I hope) of another story soon.

I can not recommend this book more or the entire series up to this point. You’ll be hooked, I promise! Enjoy!

Keep Legion coming

The author of ‘Strangers’ and ‘Stranger Still’ has written a third episode about Legion. Although this book did not compare to the first two novels, it is still an excellent addition to the mythology.
As always, MichaelBrent’s books have a tendency to start slow, but he has this incredible way to pick up steam about three- quarters of the way in and not let you go until the last page.
The idea was there and the characters magnificent, but the plot had some holes. This is the only reason I didn’t rate it a 5. I had some issues with the set-up for the ending and how ‘Mother’ got the best of Legion. MichaelBrent definitely knows how to create intrigue though, and I am already dying to know what will happen to Legion next. His story is fascinating; a true dark angel.

I just finished reading this book and if it was possible to give it more than 5 stars I would definitely give it. If you enjoy tales that are twisted, with so much suspense that you can't put it down, then you definitely want to read this book. Lol the last book I read of this author's was TIRED, SO VERY TIRED and my goodness if you haven't read it you should, it is hilarious. I also read The Forest this was a totally different book than I have ever read before. It went around in circles so much I couldn't understand how the author could keep things straight because I sure had a hard time. But when it came time for us to figure out what was happening, it all came together beautifully. When I saw this book was next on my TBR list, I wasn't sure my head was in the right place to read something challenging. Am I ever glad that I didn't push it to the side. This story is amazing and sure we still have the strangeness of Legion and his brothers Water and Fire. But we also have a story that is just amazing about the gangs, cops and citizens of a place called Tree City that has an area called The Downs, where the desolate, poor, and criminals are just trying to survive. The gang The Brotherhood has big ideas and they are going to take over this place one way or another. The other plotline is about a latino woman cop who just wants her community to be safe for the citizens but also for her son. I don't want to give away any spoilers so let's just finish with this book has such a variance of characters for you to care about, others you want to be locked up and some that just plain out should never see the light of day. The community comes alive in your imagination and you find yourself rooting for..... oops can't say anymore. Grab a copy and hide away for a couple of days and enjoy yourself immensely!
I received a free download of this book from the publisher. I am writing this review with my very own opinions of a book I am so thankful I took the time to read.

This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series!
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable.
Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story.
Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down.
Can't wait to read more of these.

This book was Legion dary!! This was everything I would expect from MbC. I can't wait until some enterprising young executive figures out this is going to be the motion picture series of the year. Netflix can you hear me? I frequently read these as an ARC, but I have to have them pristine for my collection. It's a no brainer purchase. With his families generosity throughout the pandemic his books have been very reasonable. Do you have 99 cents to spare? Really? I guarantee this is a must read. Stephen King-Dean Koontz, you may now retire.

Even more nuts

Legion has just finished his last "lesson" and has felt led to go to Tree City. The more poverty stricken part is called the Downs. Gangs used to have been a huge problem here but something has spooked them and many disappearances have taken place.
But the question on Legion's mind is who is he supposed to "teach" in this town? And will they be "teachable" or is there something Legion is missing and maybe someone has a lesson to teach him?

Enjoy this crazy character!! Think Dexter but with two other dark passengers beside his own.

Stranger Danger is the third book about Legion, formerly known as the One. In this installment, Legion faces some seriously bad-ass gangs, while at the same time helping a female police officer. Which is new and different, because previously he - or rather they, considering his ever-present, though dead, brothers - focused on teaching sinners to admit their wrongdoings, which most of the times resulted in punishment of some kind or other. Over the course of the three books, Legion (the One) undergo a serious change in their perception of people, no longer only seeing the bad guys, but appreciating good deeds as well. Also, interestingly but maybe by pure chance, the ones he lets live or even supports are female, while the males are mostly dumb or evil or both. Last but not least, my perception of Legion changed during the course of the books. Considering his past and his upbringing, I no longer consider him a mad psycho killer but, while not whole-heartedly agreeing to his actions, find myself enjoying most of them in a strange way...I do hope to meet with Legion again in the future.

Footnote: This was part three in my 'Stranger December' reading month and the most special, as I met Legion 'in person' - at least on paper. That was a strange but great experience I will never forget. Thank you so much for this very special honor, Mr. Collings!

Great book.

The book was well-written, but had a lot of grammatical errors, which I suppose is unsurprising for a great psychological thriller. Reading the 'Stranger' series allowed me to learn how people think and react when they are panicking or are mentally unwell.

I like Legion. In the first book, he struck me as a villain that deserved to die, until the secrets of the Hughes family were revealed, after which I felt like every character should die. However, the changes in the protagonist have made me reconsider my opinion. Its clear that Legion suffers from Dissociative Personality Disorder, due to the abuse his late father inflicted on him and his brothers for years. At first, he and his brothers shared a single identity known as the One. After the death of two of the brothers, the remaining brother developed a new individual identity known as Legion, but his late siblings continue to reside within his mind as two separate identities known as Fire and Water, which represent Legion's brutality and kindness respectively. However, it's unclear whether One is really gone or not, and Fire and Water seem to be trying to gain dominance over Legion's mind. Worst of all, Legion's mind is still suffering from the trauma inflicted by his dead father, who is now either a hallucination or a separate identity within his mind.

Anyways, unlike One who indiscriminately tortured and killed those he deemed as bad, Legion is more fair, thoughtful and honorable, judging by his decision to help Jayn, Danielle, the Garcias and others. I suppose, he can be called an anti-heroic vigilante.

The cliffhanger at the end of this book was very intriguing. Legion successfully defeated the Brotherhood of the Wolf and the corrupt cops of the Tree City, but now he has been captured by Marcos and Sheldon's vengeful mother, who is just as evil and psychopathic as her late sons. Worst of all, Legion has now no choice but to mentally face the one person he fears the most: his late father. I seriously hope the fourth book of this series will come out on the market soon.

One last thing, I noticed that even if Legion gets arrested he is unlikely to be convicted, due to his mental illness, and lack of evidence. No one has seen him commit a crime with their own eyes, after all. I hope Legion never loses. I'm sure he will triumph over his new enemies.

Oh, and also I hope Michaelbrent considers adding some real romance in the Strange Series. In each book romance was suddenly destroyed. I hope that Collings will try to bring some romance in Legion's life. That would be very interesting to read.

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!

The Three Stooges of Schizophrenia are back (Legion, Fire & Water) and better than ever! The scene where Fire and Water have the classic, juvenile road trip argument about "Stop touching me!" had me laughing so hard tears rolled down my face. But, have no fear, it's not a total guffaw fest. Legion is still Legion. There are still "lessons" to teach and plenty of violence, blood and gore to go around.

I was mesmerized with the way in which several different story lines were so intricately woven together with a common thread that they flowed seamlessly into one another to create the "big picture". This made the plot so compelling and interesting, that I found myself wanting to read until my eyeballs nearly fell out from the strain of overuse. Also, don't let yourself get fooled into thinking that you have everything figured out, because this one has so many twists, turns and shockers that what you THINK you know is constantly being challenged and changed. And, to add even more speculation into the mix, Legion and the self-imagined personages of his brothers have all begun to subtly shift and evolve... But, into WHO and WHAT is the question.

I applaud the way that Collings has taken a violent and deranged SERIAL KILLER and turned him into a character that I now not only root for but feel compassion and sympathy for. He still needs to be stopped, don't get me wrong. But, I lament who he might have become with even a modicum of love and affection.

The story CANNOT end here! And, I can't wait to see who Legion, Fire and Water have to "school" next.

*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.

Best in the series!
One of the things I love most about Michaelbrent is how real and relatable his characters are, even if they're psychopathic murderers. Stranger Danger is in my opinion, Michaelbrent Collings' best writing to date.
I love his character Legion. The first two books in this series are fantastic and have brought this terrifying, fascinating and oddly lovable character to life, but Stranger Danger gives him so much more depth. The mysteries surrounding him, who he is, what his motives are, and who his (real or imagined) dead brothers that hang out with him are only beginning to be revealed.
This book is as much about the other characters, like Candela, Chase and the deeply disturbing Wolf as well. These characters' narratives explore some of the extremes in our society today and those trapped in between. We have Candela, a minority police officer trying to do what's right for her community and family. Wolf, the hate filled cult leader with a god complex. And Chase, the kid stuck in a rough situation with what seems like no way to escape from the darkness surrounding him.
Collings does an excellent job discussing and relating to social issues today. Racism, hate, gang violence, poverty, good cops and bad cops, as well as community, family love, unity and the conquering power of right over wrong. This book is a tour de force so relevant and timely.
From an author who has already written a large number of fantastic books, this one stands out. Do yourself a favor and read it.
Content warnings: This book deals with some tough issues and doesn't shy away from much without being overtly explicit. It's not for the faint of heart. Blood and gore, cruelty, torture, racism are present. Some foul language but no "F-words." No explicit sexuality.

In book three of the Stranger series, Legion and his brothers, Fire and Water, return for further lessons in humanity. In the Downs, the worst section of Tree City, three gangs rule the turf, drugs, hustling, and whatever else gangs do. Then suddenly members of the three begin disappearing, a few bodies are found, but not enough to account for all the missing. A new gang has come on the scene and the good cops can’t stop the Brotherhood of the Wolf because the corrupt members of the force are messing up crime scenes, destroying evidence, and protecting the Brotherhood.

Then the Downs and it’s problems come to the attention of Legion. He is such an average looking man, people often don’t see him. Till it’s too late, that is. And his “lessons” are hard and fast, he is stronger than he looks, he knows all the ways to kill and is expert in all of them. Not that he wants to kill even bad men or bad cops. If they’re dead they can’t learn the error of their ways and certainly can’t mend them.

The brothers, Fire and Water, used to really be his brothers, but they died, Water drowned and Fire, well he died in flames. And now they live in Legion’s mind, bickering with each other, kibitzing his plans and actions, and just generally acting like a couple of kids. He sees them as how they died, Fire is a humanoid shape of flame, ash, and sparks; Water is man-shaped as well, but molded of water, dripping and sputtering along.

Collings is excellent at making all this believable, his characters brought to life with wit and empathy, and the storyline is coherent. It’s a page turner with unforeseen twists that can keep you up all night.

There is a man known as Legion. No, not the vampire and no, not the lone survivor in a world filled with vampires.

He is a lone survivor, however, though through his many conversations with his brothers, you'd think there were three. But there's only One. And he is Legion.

Legion literally terrified me in the first book, Strangers. It was a scenario right out of nightmares, completely believable which made it more terrifying. Then along comes Stranger Still, and .... I find myself LIKING Legion. Rooting for him. Wincing when he got hurt. Crossing my fingers FOR him. WANTING MORE Legion.

Thank you Michaelbrent, Stranger Danger was the fix I needed.

Legion became a hero? Or is he...

I just know when I got to the end of the book I cried because I had to say goodbye to Legion ... until the next book.

Stranger Danger is chock full of handsome hunky cops to dirtbag cops to gangbangers you want to hate but are gleeful when they are taught their lessons. Add in a spunky Latina cop in a smallish city who is the heroine of the story, yet even she has secrets. And an angsty teenaged son who of course gets into trouble. Big trouble.

Legion arrives and well ... the town won't be the same by time he's done ... and you're so down for that to happen!

You don't need to read the other two books, but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them because ... well. Legion.

Great job Mr. Collings. You have fed my nightmares once again.

This is book 3 of the Strangers series. And I was definitely not disappointed! In this book, Legion starts to evolve into more of a pointed vigilante. By this I mean he is actually going after actual crims and not just normal people who have done something wrong. But while he evolves, his dead brothers are kind of devolving into adolescent brats. But even they are starting to develop more distinct personality traits - Water is become more considerate while Fire is becoming more vicious, showing that they are really 2 manifestations of the thought processes going through Legion's mind.

The main thing I loved about this book is the parallel story going on involving Candela Garcia and an evil presence from her past that has followed her through the decades. Garcia is a rookie cop in the Downs, a slum area of her city, battling gangs, a dodgy cop partner, and the risk of losing her son to crime.

The way these two storylines converge at the end is very satisfying and exceptionally well done. The character depth and development is excellent and the entertainment value is very high, with a few giggles thrown in. Loved this book, and can't wait to see if there is a 4th book - the end is certainly open enough, but still wrapped up nicely, just in case.

Ahhh, I was so satisfied with this book. I had to read it right after I finished Book 2 in the "I am Legion" series. It did not disappoint.

Legion had a horrifying childhood and now travels around looking to teach people life/death lessons. Legion has two deceased brothers called Water and Fire that don't appear to anyone else on the planet but it doesn't stop the trio from ridiculous and sometimes downright childish banter and arguments. The best parts of the book for me is the interaction of the "siblings" and whatever is going on with their relationship with Legion. But yes, there is still plenty of gory teaching that Legion does after he has done the requisite watching and learning...

This time he ends up in a city that has its share of gang and drug problems, including fallout from a situation Legion created in Book 2. You don't need to read Book 2 (Stranger Still) but I would recommend it. It was so enjoyable, weird and disturbing.

There is a cop named Garcia who is trying her best to provide for her son. Her son is going through an difficult age and living in the worst neighborhood isn't really helping. Gangs are always looking for new recruits and her son would be the perfect addition for one gang in particular...

These books just keep getting better. This is the third book in a series (the other two are Strangers and Stranger Still) and while it is possible to enjoy this book without reading the first two, it would be much more enjoyable after you have read them. Without giving too much away, there is a character from the first book that you will follow through all three books and this is definitely my favorite book that he is in. I also like all the other characters in this particular book (especially the hispanic female cop, Garcia), and I am happy with how the book ended for most of them but there are a couple of major twists at the end that I was not expecting at all. I think it is the twists at the end that put this book over the top compared to the others for me. The story is great in all three books but this one gave me such a surprise at the end that it became my favorite. If you have already read the first two books in this series, then what are you waiting for? Read this book already! If you haven't, go read the first two as fast as you can and then read this one. You won't be sorry!

MY NEW #1 FAVORITE McB BOOK
For those of you who are unaware, there are 3 books in this series; Stranger, Stranger Still and now Stranger Danger. Although each one can be a stand alone book, I recommend reading all three to get a better understanding of the main character, Legion, who is both sweet and deadly!
There are many characters in this book and Mr Collings is amazing at building each one until you feel you actually know them personally, drawing you deeper into the story. In this case there are multiple stories which he does a brilliant job of incorporating them at precisely the right time and in just the best way!
Oh, I must add that I did a good old fashioned 'son of a gun' kneeslap when I realized the connection to the climax of Stranger Still!
I will not detail the content but I have to say that I had a hard time putting the book down! It is a scary and nerve wracking Mystery/Horror/Thriller told brulliantly by the master, MbC, and I highly recommend that you grab a copy - or even all 3 as they are currently on sale for 99cents! Enjoy!

This is the third novel featuring Legion (as he calls himself). Following hot on the heels of the previous entry in the series, Legion finds himself in a new city, with new lessons to teach - and some to learn himself. The city is embroiled in a gang war, police corruption, and the Downs is the nexus of all of it.

Stranger Danger is a really strong novel. The pacing is excellent. The world building, likewise. But, for me, the real standout element was the character development. While the main players were expertly rendered, it was two minor characters who really stole the show for me in this novel: a YA-loving clerk was hands-down my favourite, while the elderly blind lady was a close second! They both added a richness and a depth to the troubled neighbourhood and their presence really enhanced the story for me. They also allowed other sides of main characters to be revealed in terms how they related to these ordinary folk.

I hope that we'll see more of these characters as the series continues.

I received an ARC via the author.

This book is the 3rd in The Stranger series. I loved all three books but have to say this one was my favorite. I loved seeing how Legion evolved through the books. I can honestly say I hated him in the first but found myself at times rooting for him in this book
With no spoiler alerts let me say Legion not only teaches those he feels require it but he teaches us the reader as well. That the human mind and psyche are deep, uncharted, and unpredictable. You should never judge a book by its cover if you will. lol forgive the pun. MBC masters the unpredictable thrill ride in this series.
This book like the others will keep you guessing , never knowing what to expect! It is a thought provoking, exhilarating, edge of your seat, can’t put it down read!
I have read many books by this author and have never been disappointed.
I received an advance copy of this book from the author but the review is my own and not influenced by receiving this advance copy.
MBC is truly a great author and deserves a seat right next to King, Koontz, Dekker, etc.

Having read Strangers, then Stranger Still, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Stranger Danger. I have to say that Legion is probably one of my favorite characters of all time. He's not a good guy, not by any stretch of the imagination, but he is only a bad guy when someone needs to be "taught" a lesson.

Collings writes a tightly woven story with an eclectic mix of characters, from a good cop, who has secrets of her own, working in a bad area of town and trying to make a difference, despite a partner who is anything but a good cop, to a wannabe white supremacist leader bent on making her pay in the worst way possible. Guess what? He has secrets too.

You don't have to have read the first two books in this series to enjoy this one, but why wouldn't you? They are awesome, too!. Enough is explained in this book to understand Legion, his past, and his "brothers", Fire and Water, who added a great deal of levity to this story.

Something is coming. Legion is changing, and I can't wait for the next book to find out what happens to him.

Ohhhh mannnnn, this book, this author!! I always read this author's book with great anticipation. He has never disappointed me, always blows me away... This book, the third in the Stranger series is no different. I can only hope and beg that this series continues!! I have never been so conflicted by a character in a book as Legion. In the prior two books, you get insight to his past and how he is the way he is, somewhat. He is so complex, we may never truly see him as he completely is. But that is a good thing, more info in more books, please! I must say, tho, that this is a stand alone book, so it isn't necessary to read the first two. But, man, that would be missing two more amazing books. No spoilers here, this is a early review before the 12-20-20 publication date. So, get this book then and read it for yourself. Also, the rest of Michaelbrent Collings' books are on sale for $.99, so you can't go wrong! Ahem... Can anyone say Merry Christmas, ebook time!

I have to say this trilogy has been very entertaining. Mr. Collings seems incapable of writing a bad book. In this, the third in the series, Legion and his ghost brother's Fire and Water seek to destroy a gang trying to take over a town while also trying to protect Candela, a cop, and her son from Wolf, the gang leader. Beautifully violent when it needs to be as well as Mr. Collings trademark twists you won't see coming, will keep you entertained and reading nonstop. The reason it's 4 stars is the goofy conversations between the 3 brother's wears thin on me. I wish Fire and Water were used in more nefarious ways, rather then comic relief. The conversations were more goofy to me then funny. But that's my only criticism. It's a fun book. A violent book. A really good entry in the series. It can be read as a standalone novel but reading the other two in the series first would help the reader understand some references. You'll like this one!

I received this book as a digital ARC, and I was so excited to read it. This is the third book in a series. I knew after reading the first two; I needed more. The third installment did not disappoint. I'm not one for spoilers but trust me; you need to read this. The characters are developed amazingly so. And even if there is an absolute psychopath within the pages, you can't help but love him. The ending caught me off guard. I can generally figure things out, but true to his other books, I didn't see it coming. Seriously, if you are a book lover or know a book lover, this series would make and a fantastic gift. So take my word for it and get them!!!! And I can't wait to keep reading books from this author.

I need to state, I received a download of pre-release Stranger Danger as a follower of Michaelbrent Collings, to provide feedback and an honest review. No spoilers here.

After reading a number of Collings stories, I was sure this would be another great read. I must say I was captivated after reading the opening chapter. His Legion is one interesting character who I greatly enjoyed reading about.

The book is very well written and moves along quickly. It is an engrossing story with believable and very interesting characters. Loved the storyline.

If you have read Collings before, then you know you are in for a great story. If this is your first journey into the land of Collings, then I expect it will not be your last after reading this one.

Stranger Danger

"Something was happening.
Something was about to happen.
And what worried her more was the fact that, every time she wondered who was going to light the match that finally set everything ablaze, all she could think of was John Smith, and the way he would smile if the world went up in flame.
He would smile, she thought, like he wasn’t afraid at all.
Like he was at home in the flame.
Or perhaps he was the fire." - Candela Garcia

A chilling, spine tingling thriller that you can't put down! The metamorphosis of Legion and his brothers into something.... More... It's subtle, but a change is coming.... To the One...

I was drawn in to the story right away, meeting Legion. Is he good or is he evil? Legion is one part of three. Split personality or memories of his dead brothers? I love the psychological thrillers so this drew me in. Legion is taking it upon himself to punish those who need punishing. The storyline with Legion crosses with policewoman, Candela Garcia, trying to raise her son Chase right, in a bad neighborhood. The same neighborhood where Legion is punishing the wrong-doers. Chase is drawn into the same gang that Legion is after. We now have a battle of 'good', 'bad' and Legion.... Read the book to find out how the story plays out. It is very well written and I loved it.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
