I actually enjoyed this! Many of the recipes and instructions seemed very do able even for a novice. The pictures included were very informative and easy to follow. Mind you some of the recipes were possibly expert level, and some seemed to be decorated kind of messy like. In all this would be an actual book I would pickup and attempt.
This is a great resource, mostly for decorating cakes. I like seeing her design ideas and the black buttercream recipe is my new favorite. I won't use this book for recipes, necessarily, but do love the photos and techniques presented.
There are some nice basics in here, but you'll find these basic tips and tricks in just about every cookbook about cakes. Some of the cakes in here are nicely decorated, while others are not. 🎂🍰
