A highly inaccurate vision. A grumpy writer. And a corpse. Welcome to Starry Falls. Running from the mob can be murder.
Confession. I’m no psychic. But I can sort of see the future—albeit not accurately. And you better believe, I’ve never let that little detail stop me from prognosticating my way into a pickle. So when I ticked off the mob, the feds, and my wily ex, I decided to take my Uncle Vinnie’s advice and start over with a new name and new hair color while relying on my old shtick—getting my psychic wires crossed and putting myself in danger.
When an old ex springs back into my life, it feels more like a new hex. The mob is closing in on me from every angle, and now I’ve got a moron on my hands to deal with. To make things worse, a body arrives on the scene. As if that wasn’t enough, Shep is feeling homicidal himself. He’s looking to do a little target practice, and that ex of mine is proving to be a moving target.
Living in Starry Falls is proving to be deadly.

Bowie Binx, born Stella Santini, is in the midst of a mess. Her ex from one of the New Jersey mobs has shown up in Starry Falls, Vermont where she now lives. That's not good news. He says that he wants to make things right and get back with Bowie. But, Bowie has a new life. She's managing the Mortimer Manor café and has a good-looking hunk, Shep, in her life. Her sister, "Lola" (aka Stephanie Santini) also lives in Starry Falls now and works with Bowie at the café. Shep, who seems to be jealous of her "ex" Johnny, pretends that he and Bowie are engaged right before a huge, wild and crazy party. There's a murder and everyone is trying to solve it, even Bowie's ex. This is the newest installment in the Meow for Murder series. Stella and her girlfriends have a little snark and a little sass. I think you'll enjoy these characters as much as I did.

If her sister and her ex can find her, is she really hidden??? AND the marriages!!! But who killed Giana and why??? It’s a good thing that Pixie keeps things on the level, isn’t it??? I enjoyed the story and recommend the book.
Bowie Binx (real name Stella Santini) can’t imagine anything worse than seeing her ex mob boyfriend, Johnny Rizzo, in Starry Falls. She won’t even have to imagine it, because there he is right in front of her! Too bad she can’t wish him away. If he could track her down, could the mob be far behind?
A snobby woman, Giana Iacono, arrives at Manor Café where Bowie is the manager. They have reserved the back room for a private birthday party for the woman and everyone is gathering. But when Bowie and Johnny have an argument later, when he thinks he can talk her back into his life, she turns to hurry away and trips over a dead body! It looks like the birthday girl, Giana Iacono, has been murdered!
Bowie and Detective Shepherd Wexler (“Shep”), her boyfriend and a homicide detective, will work together on the murder while trying to deal with Johnny. But with danger closing in, will Bowie have to run again for her life. Will she have to start all over somewhere else? Can they keep Johnny from telling everyone who Bowie really is?
I love this series! The characters make it so much fun, despite the serious work of catching a murderer. Will they have time to track the killer while Bowie has to watch her back from the mob? There is no end to the excitement, so grab your copy and enjoy!
Bowie worst nightmare comes to pass, her ex is in Starry Falls. Bowie wants him far away from her and her new life as possible. Bowie falls over a dead body trying to get away from him. Bowie and Shep will work together to figure out who committed the crime while trying to deal with her ex. Things get complicated when someone else figures out her and Johnny's secret. Bowie will confront the murderer but she is in danger. Will Bowie be able to get out the mess with her ex or will her new start be over now.
This book was really entertaining, the action starts as from the first chapter. Bowie and Shep are great together. Love the dynamics when the characters interact the way they do. There are some really good twists and turns in this book, especially towards the end. You will be so into the book you will get lost in it until the last page. I am looking for the next book, can't wait to see what happens next.

A Fur-milliar Fatality is the seventh book in the Meow for Murder series. Although this is part of a the Meow for Murders series it can be read as a standalone with out the feeling of being lost in the storyline. Each book builds up on the last and yet they have a new bunch of characters that are close to the victims, while the skeletal characters are the same bunch. Bowie is on the run from her past when her car breaks down on the edge of Starry Falls. Forced to stop until she gets repairs done on her car. She has now been in Starry Falls for a while, she has a job she enjoys,a place to live and now has made friends with some of the locals. Bowie is also more worried that she will be found by the feds or the mob since her sister has found her and is her she is trying to keep a low profile. But to her dismay there is a fed and an unwanted mobster from her past that are making her very nervous. Plus there was another murder on the manor grounds.
Bowie Binx is still hiding out in Starry Falls.....or so she thinks. Her sister Stephanie (Lola) tracked her down a few months back and has been glued to her side ever since. It has been nice having her sister around but when her ex Johnny shows up things go south very quickly. They are throwing a birthday party for a very well to do socialite at the Mortimer Manor when tragedy strikes. The birthday girl herself is murdered! While Bowie would like to kick Johnny out of town as soon as possible, she has to keep her focus on finding out just who the killer is! I loved this series. It's definitely one of my top three. If you enjoy murdered mysteries with a side of love, sassy and sarcastic comedy that has a bit of paparanormal activity this book will not disappoint!!

I know that when I read a book in this series, I’m going to get a clever mystery, and so many hijinks and red herrings I won’t be able to keep track of which is which. This book has once again proven out that theory. I love watching the ever-evolving relationship between Bowie and Shep. And I was thoroughly distracted by the paranormal revelations and mayhem to the point that I was never able to outthink the plot. They kept me laughing, they kept me engaged, and they kept me guessing. These are all things I consider hallmarks of a great cozy mystery. Even though I’ve only just finished reading this book, I already can’t wait to get my hands on the next one. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
Influencers and selfies, ratings and murder, exes and weddings, and don't forget growing powers. Yes, this about sums up the crazy life of Bowie Binx of Starry Falls (a.k.a Stella Santini of Jersey). Bowie is caught red handed after stumbling upon another body. With Shep at her side, her sister, Lola, and all the zany coworkers, Bowie will do her best to catch a kiler. Things go sideways though with her ex in town. Her boss's new suitor is retired FBI and is making Bowie a little nervous. Will Bowie be able to find the murderer, escape the FBI, and get rid of her ex? Or will she become the next victim, spend life behind bars, and get back together with her ex? You'll have to read this, book #7 in the Meow for Murder series to find out!
Bowie and the gang are back at it. This time Bowie's ex, who is from one of the mob families in NJ, shows up saying he wants to make things right and get back with Bowie. She wants nothing to do with him or getting back with him. She has changed her life and has a new man in her life. While trying to get away from her ex she trips over a body. So Bowie and Shep will work the case to solve this murder and try to keep Bowie's ex from telling everyone who she is.
This book has lots of twists and turns in this book that keeps you wondering what might happen next.

Bowie and team are at it again! Solving murders, running from the mob (ack... her ex mob boyfriend Johnny has shown up), cooking up Italian goodies and creating drama. Good times.
This book was really fun... I'm sooooo happy with the ending!! Although I have a feeling the fake ceremony will come back to bite them in the rear end.
I love Bowie and Shep together. So adorable!! Can't wait to read the next book in the series!!
Bowie - Stella - now resides in Starry Falls, Vermont as she hides from an ex and the mob he works for. New boyfriend that is the homicide detective in town and a sister who finds her, are two that have her back when her ex shows up as well. The banter and situations keep you laughing, even as a murder happens where she works. Loved the characters who have great backstories and determination. The storyline is fun with surprises , drama, and mystery. Great ending.

Starry Falls was the perfect place to start life new, new name, new job, new friends, and new love. Bowie’s life was going great, until her ex showed up crashing the party. What could make it go worse a dead body happens to be stumbled upon and other circumstances that really amps up the nerves. That’s not the only trouble brewing. Addison and Bellamy had me enthralled with the quick whit, smart mouths, and antics Bowie finds herself in while trying to catch a killer and keep herself roaming free. I can only anticipate what comes next, and I can’t wait to dive in!
Another great book by Moore! I adore this whole series — anything by Moore really. Always well-written, well-paced, likeable and complex characters, plus a great mystery. Every time I think it can’t get better, Moore proves us wrong. Can’t wait for the next book!

I love this series! Just finished book #7. Just wanted to let you know that Clydesdale horses are never white. They are most often bay with black mane and tail and white feathering on their feet. Sometimes they are roan ( bay with white hairs mixed in).
Another laugh out loud, captivating, and entertaining installment to this series. Full of twists and turns, it had me guessing until the very end. Is there, or will there be another book? With a whopper of an ending, I sure hope so. I need to know what happens next.
Wow!!! This book was amazing and suspenseful. I absolutely loved it. I love how it had you sitting on the edge of your seat in suspense. Amazingly written.
