This is really a reference book for Armstrong nuts like me. I bought it partially as a tribute to Willem's selfless effort. The best line in the book is from George Avakian's introduction:
"The efforts of Jos Willems are comparable only to the saintly consecration of a medieval monk."
I am someone who considers the totality of Louis Armstrong to be one of the great ongoing pleasures of my life. I understand and appreciate Willem's dedication.
