This is the first review that I’ve written on Goodreads despite it being my 60th read of the year. That in itself should tell you how moved by this series I was and especially for the finale. While the series did finish with a sort of perfect ending it wasn’t too predictable or unbelievable as one might expect upon hearing that. It even brought tears to my eyes and as a middle aged man that rarely happens. Could not recommend this series more.

An epic Samurai journey
This story has been an epic journey. As great as any Samurai adventure written to date. The characters are well developed and the action never lets you down.

Could not put these books down.
Maybe the best series I have read all year. I enjoyed every book. Very well written. Having lived in Japan for nine years during the 70s and 80s, many memories were recalled.

Great finish
The 8 book series is a wonderful read. I could hardly wait for this last book to be released so I could find out what happened to Keiko-san. You will not be disappointed in selecting this 8 book series.
