A Dash Of Christmas Magic

Rate this book
Back home for the first time in years for an extended holiday stay, Sinaa is dreading being surrounded by judgmental eyes that make up the small town of Clarington, Tennessee. If it weren’t for her parents, she would have never returned to the town that treated her so awful upon learning of her teen pregnancy. Sinaa’s plans didn’t include a little Christmas magic in the form of a 6'2 chocolate Adonis, but plans were made to be changed.

Malachi Long came prepared to be a protector and support system for his sister as she faced a dramatic and draining divorce. What Malachi wasn’t prepared for was laying eyes on the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Even though he knew his stay would be short, he made it a point to get to know the beauty whose cart looked like a North Pole explosion. All Malachi wanted to do was unwrap her for Christmas, and he was hoping Santa fulfilled wish lists for thirty-three-year-old men.

Will Sinaa and Malachi experience some Christmas magic that last beyond the holidays? Or will the sparks that fly fizzle as the new year approaches?

Yes, I'm still reading holiday books. Don't judge me! LOL!!! A Dash of Christmas Magic was cute and quick. Not only was it hot and steamy but, the dialogue was hilarious. Sinaa and Malachi were perfect for each other. I loved the romance and chemistry between them. The plot twist about Zinae and Naomi was interesting although, I had already figured it out. A Dash of Christmas Magic was the prefect holiday read (I know the holidays are over. Let me make it). Shay Davis is quickly becoming a fave of mine. I hope Melanie gets her own story. I would love to dive deeper into her and Gordan's marital problems.

Home for the holidays with a side of Christmas magic! This was a cute read! Sinaa and Malachi are both visiting family for the holidays in a small town in Tennessee. With it being such a small town, it wasn’t long before these two cross paths experiencing an almost instant connection. In an effort to steer clear of the typical small town gossip and nosiness they have their lil rendezvous in the next town over. Chile Sinaa got some holiday peen that ended her 5 year drought!! Sis was hooked like a fish! I really enjoyed the comedic relief the story provided. They had zero sense! The plot twist was unexpected but also a nice touch! I definitely recommend checking this one out! I listened to the audio and enjoyed the narrators as well!

Sinaa x Malachi

3 for 3. Shay tried her best to save my Christmas read. Sinaa and Malachi were destined to be together. Carrington, Tennessee is small. A lot smaller than they thought. It wasn't just chemistry that connected them. They were connected in more ways than they thought and the journey was beautiful. Loved this short!

Magical Small Town Love

This was such a cute Holiday short!
Malachi was in small town TN helping his sister as she separated from her cheating husband. Being the protector that he was, he wanted to make sure things went smoothly. He never thought he would run into the most beautiful woman he had ever seen at the small town Target. It was funny, but she acted uninterested and all he could do was hope that they would cross paths again.
Sinaa was visiting her hometown for the Holidays. She loved to see her parents, but not so much the people in the town. They always looked down upon her for the choices she made as a teenager. Although she acted uninterested she was intrigued by the new handsome man she ran into at Target.
Fate brings them together again and they are inseparable. They have an immediate connection and it's magical. enjoyed them together and it definitely felt meant to be. Malachi was serving all the alpha, protector, BDE and I was here for it all. I loved the way he supported and cared for his sister. He gave that same energy to Sinaa even though they just met. He was sweet and intentional with their dates. He showed with his actions and consistency how much Sinaa meant to him. We love a man that is clear on what he wants! He overwhelmed Sinaa with love and affection and most importantly he made her feel safe. Ooh and the plot twist was wow too even though I called it.
This book gave so much in under 100 pages. You could literally feel the magic between Malachi and Sinaa. I also felt like there was just enough Christmas in the background. Excellent read! I definitely need a book 2 though to see how they worked through their living situation.

This was the perfect quick read to get me in the Christmas spirit! It was hot, sexy and funny as hell! I cracked up at Sinaa fighting hard to not give Malachi her attention, but failed miserably! They were so perfect for each other. I loved the girls and their banter, although they were recording every damn thing! 😂 That plot twist was something else too! Like who is this wack dude? Didn’t want it to end, and hope that we see more of Sinaa and Malachi in the future. Miss Melanie needs a boo, hint hint! Loved this! Great job! 👍👍👍

Christmas Magic, Indeed!

Ok where do I begin? This Christmas short was AMAZING! Not only was it hot and steamy, but the dialogue was hilarious. The only thing better than a sexy story is a funny sexy story and Shay Davis has delivered. She has just moved up to being a one click author for me. I loved the romance and chemistry between Sinaa and Malachi. They were perfect together. I hope to read more about them in Melanie's story. And I hope to never hear from Gordan again. (I think that was his name)

Dayyyuuummm this was a cute yet sexy Christmas story💕

Once again Queen Shay blew me away with this Christmas insta-love story. Sis kept me laughing, horny and in love, lbvvs.
Malachi brought his sexy ass in town to help his sister Melanie after she found out her no good ass husband had a while other family he was taking care of😳. What he wasn't expecting was to run intro the beauty that its Sinaa/his forever love.
Sinaa hated coming back to this judgemental town but loved her parents too much to deny them her and her daughter Zinae qt for the Christmas holiday. These two met, took time to get to know each other and it was almost ruined with the news Malachi niece Naomi divulged when she mentioned who her grandparents were🙄. I swear I had a feeling her nothing ass baby daddy was either related to Melanie's soon to be ex-husband or they were one in the same.
Gordon or his parents weren't ish. Taking in the side piece and her kid knowing their son had a whole daughter they disowned 15 years prior and another daughter and wife he had hiding on the other side of town😡. It be them judgemental "church" folks (not all of them)that be doing the most while turning there noises up and looking down on you.
Malachi and Sinaa thought they were just getting a holiday stress relief but got so much more. The way Malachi went about making sure he kept a smile on her face, catered to her mind, body😜💦and soul💕. And including her daughter in some of there outings, that was just😍. The ending was the icing on the cake, so glad I read this book. I couldn't put this or the last one down, so good.
I loved this story because it felt authentic, cause let's be real this happens everyday. This author really knows how to draw you in and I enjoyed the journey.

3.5 Stars.

This was a cute, instant attraction Christmas romance featuring single mom, Sinaa, who’s back in the small town hometown she hates to spend Christmas with her family, and Malachi, who’s visiting the small town to support his sister whose marriage just imploded. It’s instalove, witty conversation, and Christmas Romance wish fulfillment with Sinaa having the best revenge, i.e. success, against those who wrote her off because of her teen pregnancy, and Malachi totally gone on Sinaa. The kids are cute and the family members are supportive. There’s basically no angst in this sexy Christmas story and it is a light-hearted, fun read in spite of the heavier plot elements of infidelity, divorce, and teen mom stigma.

This is a new author with only a few projects out. I loved her writing style so that’s why I went looking for more. This was a beautiful Christmas story and the connection and attraction between the couple was strong. This author focused more on the couple although the book had secrets out the gate. Instead of her giving is more details on Sinaa baby father and all he had going the author left that open to the readers. It didn’t bother me but some readers probably would want to see the details in full of him getting his Karma or whatnot. But I personally liked how she didn’t make it all about him and focused on what the book was about. Christmas magic

Awww!!!

Singapore was back home for the holidays in the town that ran her off as a teen. Malachi was visiting his sister who was leaving her husband. When those Sinaa and Malachi met, it was just the beginning. Spending time together their feelings grew so strong towards each other and all they could think about was forever. This was such a well written beautiful love story if strangers to lovers book. I so wasn't expecting the little secret in the book, but I was here for it. Shay is coming into her own as a romance writer and im ready for what's next. I would love to see where Malachi and Sinaa end up, also will Melanie find her soulmate!!! Great read!!!

PERFECT!!!

Wow, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love how open they were with each other. Malachi and Sinaa were so refreshing as a couple. Usually, one or both of the main characters have issues so deep that it takes them forever to work through their mess. I enjoyed how organic and magnetic their love for each other was. It was nice to read about a couple that was on some grown people sh*t. I am definitely looking forward to reading Melanie’s story just so that I can get an update on Malachi’s and Sinaa’s love story. The love scenes were hot!🔥🔥🔥

So so good

I know that it’s well after Christmas but this came across my IG feed and I am so glad that it did. There were so many laugh out loud moments in this story. Every time Malachi and his sister got together made me cackle and reminded me of growing up with my two brothers. I loved the instant attraction and chemistry that Sinaa and Malachi had for one another and I would love to see more of them in a full book. This was such an amazing read. I have gotta find more stories by Ms. Shay Davis!

Great Story!

I really enjoyed this story! This town was trash for how they treated teenage Sinaa. But she more than proved them wrong with how well she is doing in life. Sinaa and Malachi's first meeting was funny. I loved that they kept running into each other. Their chemistry was instant and hot!!!🔥🔥🔥 Was not expecting the family connection, but it made them being together even sweeter. This was a fun holiday read!

Wonderful book

I love this story. The character was great and the storyline was excellent. I was glad when Sinna met Malachi, it was love at first sight. The Pastor and Trudy should have been banned from the church h with their judgmental attitudes. The Pastor was worst than his congregations, but Sinna showed them that she made it. This was a wonderful story, the author did her thing. Great book, excellent.

Sinaa returns home to visit parents. She got pregnant at 16 and was sent to her Aunts. She dreads coming home to ugliness of others thoughts of her. They see only her mistake. She proved them wrong and is a lawyer now.
Malichi has come to his sister's house to help her throw her cheating ex out. Not a lot of Christmas to read. But more of the season the story takes place in. Too much focus spent thoughts of sex. Sex scenes were hot. Story cute. Just not rounded out.

Loved this story

I loved the Christmas instant love ❤️ story. The girls, Zinae and Naomi were hilarious. Melanie is a character as well and I look forward to her story! Malachi and his swag oozed through the book. Sin made me so proud of how she overcame adversity at such a young age. Home girl had it going on!

This was great!

This author is new to me, but has definitely been added to my repeat list. This particular love story was fast pace. Boy meets girl, they fall in love at first sight, then an unseen twist is thrown in. The twist wasn't 100% resolved, but I expect resolution in the next book of the series.

Awesome Book 💖

Shay you did an awesome job on this Christmas book . Malachi and Sinaa finding that love at first sight is what makes this book so good. I enjoyed that it didn't have a lot of drama, drugs or killing. Don't get me wrong I love those kind of books but dealing with Christmas I want to read about love and happiness and that's what you have us. I would love to hear more about Melanie and her founding her real soulmate. Keep up the great work.
