Lexa Luthor is an avid writer and reader of the Omegaverse trope especially including F/F pairing. In her books, each main character(s) is a strong-willed female, who navigates difficult situations but always ends up finding love with their mate. Every tale has a twist and is gripping, sexy, and even a bit adventurous.

When not writing, Lexa enjoys binge watching television shows like Game of Thrones, Gentleman Jack, or The L Word. Her other favorite hobbies are playing cornhole, rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, and laying around the pool in the summer. At times, Lexa finds time to read romances (both dark and fluffy) and great sci-fi books but nothing else can beat a steamy, downright erotic F/F romance with biting, knotting, and slightly possessive love.

A good teaser! “I, Finna” is part of “The Alpha God” series which should be read in order. Well…obviously you can read this after book 4, since it is also published after the 4th book, but it’s not suitable as a standalone story.

Like “I, Alpha” (book 2.5) this short story is written from Kal’s POV instead of from Charlie’s POV, like in the full-length books of the series. I enjoy how we get some insights in Kal’s mind, but also into her past through these short stories. Also, some important info concerning the future is given in this story. “I, Finna” reads like a couple of chapters of a full-length book and was a good teaser for me to look forward to the fifth book in the series that will be published next month.

Both “I, Alpha” and “I, Finna” are available for free if you sign up to the newsletter, so if you’re a fan of the series I recommend to sign up and get them. If you don’t know the series, I highly recommend them, but this is an omegaverse series with G!P content and will not be everybody’s cup of tea. A couple of ours of great reading while a storm roared around our house last night. I loved the insights in Karl’s life as a Finna and her encounter with Tas (and a special other person that I won’t spoil) in those days.

For readers of Lexa Luthor’s books who haven’t read the last (or this novella): it’s fun to read from Karl’s point of view. Sign up for the newsletter to receive them: https://lexaluthor.com/books/i-finna/

Another excellent novella! I love getting to know and understand Kal/Summers more by these glimpses into her mind and what is happening with her. We also get Sumner’s memory of when she first met Raine and Sallow. Also hell yes, Kal told Lennox about her and Charlie!! I can’t wait for more.

A hot short story that gives us more insight into Kal/Sumner. I am in awe of the author's writing and imagination, and I am head over heels for Kal. I have pre-ordered book 5 in the series and can't wait for it to be released in February!

Great short story! Ones more we get more insight in Sumner. Also parts of it that were never revealed in the other books. (about Raine, Tas and Lennox, which are pretty big "secrets") Now the wait for febuary begins! This story better has a happy ending though ;)

Loved it! A short but wonderful glimpse into Kal’s previous life as Sumner. Also, contains a cold shower inducing, very hot scene with Charlie. Lexa is fast becoming my favourite author!

Ohh, this was very interesting to see "baby" Kal. Btw, how old is Sumner? younger than Charlie for sure since Dor was her mentor, so I wonder...

I love seeing Kal's POV, whatever is happening is always refreshing her take on things.

CHARACTER & STORY IMPRESSIONS:
I loved seeing more of Kal’s past in this short story. Seeing Dorlon in the role of Kal’s mentor adds a lot to Dorlon’s character, as well as the dynamic between her and Kal’s friendship. Dorlon feels different from the person Charlie met when they were younger, more composed and disciplined, so I wonder if we’ll get any more insight about what led her to become Kal’s teacher.

We also get more of Raine in this story, which is lovely because Raine is a gem. It’s probably a good thing she was the first human Kal ever interacted with, because she definitely left an impression. I wonder if Kal will ever tell Charlie that she remembers how she met Charlie’s best friend/sister.

HIGHLIGHTS:
    * Highlight 1: Raine referring to Charlie not by name but as “an old friend,” when Kal asks who taught Raine her language. It feels like Kal and Charlie have always been around each other but never met until the time was right.
    * Highlight 2: Kal wanting to draw Charlie naked. I’m expecting a “paint me like one of your French girls” moment in the future.
    * Highlight 3: The idea that Lennox can make Kal and Charlie’s secret relationship a good thing in the eyes of the people is hinted at, and if that can happen, it’d be awesome so the two women no longer have to hide their feelings in public.

PERSONAL TAGS:
    * 3rd person, Kal’s POV
    * Competent protagonist
    * F/f omegaverse
    * G!p
    * Human female / she-alpha
    * Mercenary / high commander
