Redemption of a Prince

Rate this book
He was supposed to be king.
She’s never gotten over him.
Can their relationship - and his birthright - be redeemed?

Princes of New Sargasso
Book 4

For well over a decade, Crown Prince Ezekiel of New Sargasso had known he would never be king. He didn’t exactly blame Nicolette Major, but that didn’t mean he wanted to see her regularly either.

For a brief period of time as a teenager, Nikki let herself believe a prince-who-would-be-king could love an ordinary girl like her.

But that wasn’t to be.

She’d gone nearly fifteen years without seeing him, but her new job found her working in the palace.

And very closely with the man she’d once known.

Can they find their way back to each other, or will a truth finally revealed prevent the Redemption of a Prince?

Surprises await

Another favorite from Author Carol Moncado! Two people connected by their past deal with a future neither one of them expected.

This is the fourth book in the Princes of New Sargasso series and is the conclusion to the series. I have been eagerly awaiting this book due to the questions lingering in the other books regarding Prince Ezekiel. This book picks up with Ezekiel’s story and brings readers full circle with everything regarding this series and family. In the previous books, readers knew that Ezekiel wouldn’t become king, but we didn’t know why. You will discover the why in this book and see how redemption plays out for this prince. The book begins with Nicolette (Nikki) attempting to gain employment with the Trilunium Resort Project. Nikki and Ezekiel find themselves working together even though neither one has seen each other in fifteen years. After the awkwardness passed, they both seemed drawn to each other. Readers will have to read to learn his redemptive story and what happens between the two of them. This book and series were highly enjoyable and I highly recommend them! You will not be disappointed!
***I was given a free electronic copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review. This is my honest opinion. Even though I received this copy free, I have purchased her books before.

Being the heir to the throne holds many pressures and expectations. What happens when those are broken? Lives are changed and pain is felt all around.
Prince Ezekiel thought his life and the mistakes he made would forever cause him pain; he didn’t realize that pain would explode when he came face-to-face with the one person he’d been careful to stay away from.
Nikki also didn’t realize all the pain she would feel and the emotions she’d experience when she saw the prince again.
Can they work alongside each other day after day without all this pain and hurt? Time will only tell.
This story is a story of forgiveness, grace, hope, and redemption. It’s also a story of finding purpose when all was thought lost.
In this book, Carol Moncado has brought us into royal life again. She continues to write books in which we get a glimpse of what it might be like to live in a world like Cinderella.
If you LOVE reading stories regarding royalty and all that life can bring, then you really need to pick this book up and read it! You won't be disappointed.
I was given this book by the publisher which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the fourth and final book in Moncado’s series “The Princes of New Sargasso.” If you haven’t read her books before, you probably should start with at least the first book in this series, Dinner with a Prince.

After all the comments about Zeke in the previous books, I was really looking forward to finding out what had happened to make him so quiet, reserved, sad, etc. Moncado does a great job at leaking out the truth in bits and pieces, complete with heart-stopping plot twists, interrupted confessions, snow storms, etc. If you’re a Moncado fan, you will be happy with this one, as well as with the fact that just because it’s the end of a series, it’s not the end of reading more about these characters that have become good friends, since they’re sure to show up in future books!

First off, if you haven't read the rest of this series, you really need to wait on this one. This really will be quite the spoilers for that. Ever since we were introduced to the stodgy and eternally sad Prince Ezekiel, I knew I would love his story. The build-up was excellent, and the final reveal was great. I loved the resolution of a plot line I knew would be amazing. And it was.
Ms. Moncado does a fabulous job with world-building. Easily one of my favorites. I don't "auto-buy" many authors, but Ms. Moncado makes my list for sure. Her governments are unique while still being plausible, which for me is a huge thing. (I think I mention this at least once in every review of every book she writes!)

This story primarily features Zeke and Nikki, along with their past and present time. Nikki has secured a job on the Trilunium Resort project, but didn’t realize she’d be working in the palace to start. Neither has gotten over the other from years before, but circumstances have kept them apart. When Zeke is told he needs to work with her on this project so Gideon can focus on something else, he’s not happy, both for the unresolved past and for the fact he’s not a Trilunium buff the rest of the family is. Beautiful story as these two work through what they need to. We also see the rest of the king’s family mentioned anyway, but mostly deal with the King, Queen, Lydia, Gideon and Kari, aside from Zeke and Nikki.

Redemption of a Prince is the final book in the in the Princes of New Sargasso series by the wonderful, awesome Carol Moncado. We finally get Prince Ezekiel's story. The elusive Prince Ezekiel, Zeke that we've seen glimpses of in the previous book.
This is his and Nikki's story. What a story. A teenage romance and love come full circle years later. A story of hurts, pain and finally redemption. I love all of Carol Moncados book. How she weaves her stories that grab you buy the gut with surprises and turns you don't expect. Reading and my husband asking if I was ok because I was so into the final quarter of the book. That's what makes Carols book so good.
I highly recommend this book and all of Carol Moncados books. Your heart will be touched. Read, enjoy and be blessed!

Ezekiel and Family

This is an unusual story of grace within a Royal family. Ezekiel, the Crown Prince, messed up his life as a sixteen year old with his high school girlfriend. He had been training all his life for the task of being King one day. In a moment of temptation, he threw it away! He lost his birthright plus his girlfriend. They really were too young to get married or even continue in a relationship.
But years later they become reacquainted through her new job with Kari's company. Nikki thought she could primarily escape him. She was oh, so wrong! As they become reacquainted, you will be fascinated by the next twists and turns. Expect to be surprised!

In Redemption of a Prince we have finally found out about why Crown Prince Ezekiel of New Sargasso was not technically going to be king. It's not public knowledge. Gideon knows (next in line) and a handful of the family but that is it.
The book was a great finally to this series. There are mysteries and secrets and it has you hoping you have it figured out before it is actually revealed. I loved the ending and how it happened. The easy romance and love from other characters is amazing.
I will ALWAYS purchase the authors books. She is a great author and I have never been disappointed in her books. I'm sure you will enjoy them too!

Zeke's story has been a mystery from book 1 so I was excited to finally get the scoop. Miss Moncado always does a fabulous job of connecting places and events in a logical yet intriguing manner. My heart broke for Nikki more than once. Zeke was hurt and tried not to become bitter but what a hard pill to swallow. Every action has a consequence so I'm glad to see their mistakes weren't just swept under the rug or hidden. I was also glad they got the HEA. Great addition to the series, love all of our fictional prince and princesses!

Nikki and Zeke's Reunion

This is Nikki and Zeke's sweet love story. I love this sweet clean series with imperfect characters who have made mistakes that impact not only their own lives, but the future of their country. Zeke has lost his birthright to be king and all of a sudden the time for the next king is upon the family and the country. Zeke and Nikki reconnect and find their love is still there after 14 years and a lot of heartache. This book is part of a series, but can stand alone.

’ve waited for this final installment of The Princes of New Sargasso.
It was worth the wait. The story was full of twists and turns and were unexpected and shocking. I always love a happily ever after and this story not only had one but the book provided one for the series also. All tied up in a neat little bow.
Although this book can stand alone, you’ll enjoy it more if you read them in order.

Good ending to the series

I love Carol Moncado's books! While this was not my favorite of the series, I really enjoyed it. (Note to new readers: while this book can be read alone, it is better having the background of the previous books in the series. ) I really liked Nikki and the truth of God's redemption as well as the expanded theme of redemption. I have looked forward to finding out Zeke's secret since book 1 and while one part could be relatively easy to figure out at the beginning, I never would have guessed the rest!

As always I am eagerly anticipating Carol's next book!

Page turning read about second chances, theme parks, royalty, and organ transplant. Carol Moncado is a talented author, who weaves a page turning twist into the plot just as one is comfortable in the story which was appreciated by this avid reader. Due to the pandemic, my concentration is low and few books hold my interest. Devoured the book. Enjoyed the characters, page turning plot, and believable resolution. Well done Carol Moncado.

This book kept me interested from the first couple pages. I think it’s a great stand-alone book, but is so much better if you’ve read the previous books in the series. The continuation of the family story just continues to bring closure. I love how the main characters seem so genuine and how there is conflict, drama and reconciliation between several different types of relationships in this story.

Always a good read

I love Carol Moncado books. They are always a great story to lose myself in. I was desperate to know what Ezekiel had done to lose his birthright as it was so secret. And while I had suspected the reason I definitely missed some big details. I love redemption aspect for both Ezekiel and Nikki, especially the gifts at the end of the story.

The brooding prince, the secrets from the past that may prevent him from becoming King. It was so good to have Zeke redeemed, to have his heart healed and for Nikki to be loved as she deserved to be loved.

Royalty in pretend kingdoms, modern day fairytales for adults. No matter where the book is set, Carol Moncado is sure to satisfy.

Not exactly Christian

Though the book depicts a few prayers at mealtimes and when in crisis situations, there is almost no mention of what trying to be Christ-like really looks and acts like. I did like the fact that the characters learned how to forgive and that the book addressed the unwed mother dilemma but gave a rather unrealistic way of solving the matter.

This was such a sweet and fluffy romance, and exactly what I needed tonight! I didn’t like the way in which Zeke was “redeemed”, because it seemed a little too convenient, but I’ll always get behind a happy ending.

I loved every minute of this book. The secrets have been sitting just where you can't see for a couple of books now. It was so surprising to see what they were and how it affected all the characters. I couldn't put this book down. Loved It! Thanks Carol Moncado!!
