He was only meant to be a hookup. Until he became my coworker.

Only I could ruin the hottest potential hookup ever. One look at the gorgeous ginger, and I was done for. I summoned every bit of courage I had, then panicked. As is my way. I managed to put it behind me until he became my new coworker. Now, every day is a reminder of my insecurities and what might have been.

Working so closely together, Henry and I become fast friends. We have so much in common, but he’s very clear that relationships are not on his mind. The attraction though, that’s undeniable. When Henry offers friends with benefits, there’s no way I’m saying no. Did I mention I’m a virgin?

All I have to do is keep a level head and my feet on the ground. We have a blast together, but before long, the line between friendship and love blurs, and I’m drawn in by his gravity.

The question remains... Is he drawn in by mine?

Gravity is a steamy, low angst, hookup turned surprise coworker, friends with benefits, first time romance featuring a Sinatra-loving old soul, a sweeter than sugar virgin, nerding to the nth degree, and rain-drenched kisses. It is book 2 in the Written in the Stars series, featuring science-loving nerds and the men who fall for them.

I’m so confused by this author. I’ve read all her books and it seems like one book will be good and have some nice tension and conflict between the two love interests, and the next is almost hard to read because it’s so sickly sweet. I liked the first book in this series, but this one...yikes. I skimmed through the last 5-10% because I was getting secondhand embarrassment from the endless professions of love. It was way over the top. It almost feels like two different authors writing alternating books in a series? I don’t know. This one just didn’t impress me.

I enjoyed the first book in this series, but I loved Gravity more. Julian and Henry were perfect for each other. This book is super romance. It had me crying happy tears. I love it when a book makes me feel that emotional. Thank you, Mia, for sharing this wonderful book with me. I can’t wait to read Nate and Aiden’s story.

Julien ... Mr. Nickname gets his HEA.

The backstory for both Julien and Henry are the reason why there is so much initial angst in their relationship. They have hot chemistry but also they didn’t want that to blow up in their faces.

Their journey is filled with many pit falls and it’s a bit of a roller coaster but it was absolutely beyond sweet when they get it figured out.
I really enjoyed this book and loved both characters.

Gravity is the second book in the Written in the Stars serie by Mia Monroe. The story is about Julien and Henry. I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, hot, fun and very well written. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Gravity was a great book, but I didn't love it at much as the first book in the series, Stars Collide. I did, however, absolutely adore Julian - in fact, he might be my favorite Mia Monroe character to date. I just wanna squish him. He loves so hard, and just wants someone to love him back. I just didn't feel like the really right person for him was Henry.

I think a lot of my trepidation about Julian and Henry together came from my dislike of Henry as a person. He was very *meh* for me, in that his motivations were all over the place, he had no idea what he wanted, and someone other than him made every single important decision in his life. He didn't read as a very stable or mature character.

All that being said, this book was super-sweet, relatively low-angst, and had a super satisfying HEA. I will absolutely continue with the series, and I can't wait to see where Mia Monroe takes us next.

3.5 Stars...Well, I tried…I will say it again, I think Mia has fabulous writing chops and this series and story ideas are sweet and emotional, but the execution is lacking. There are some wonderful sweet, funny and sexy moments no doubt, but simply not enough. Henry and Julien are adorbs and sexy together and I just love all of Julien's nicknames. I also am quite fond of the secondary characters. However, once again, like in the first book of the series, the editing is weak and the first half of the book is way too repetitive…push/pull, push/pull, push/pull….I almost DNF’d close to 50% but knowing what I like about Mia’s writing had me pushing through until the end. When I got past the first 50% the book took off as I knew it would. However, this book could have easily been 30% shorter and this is one of the areas in which stronger editing skills are necessary and perhaps a little less sugar coating. There were some blatant mistakes that even someone like me, who is not really too picky about small details, picked up on that I can’t believe no one else from the Author to the Editor to the Alpha to the Beta readers didn’t catch. It was overly schmaltzy at times and the word love/loved was used over 200 times. This is one of those instances where releasing books every 2 months is not a good thing. *SIGH*, it pains me to say but I’m going to have to move on from this series/author for a while.

Gravitating Toward Love!

Mia Monroe tenderly and sensually continues her Written in the Stars series with book two, Gravity.

Julian and Henry begin their connection somewhat unhappily, but Mia allows each to find their own truths and strengths to gravitate towards each other.

The feelings that they have for each other shine through like the brightest of stars, as they circle and are pulled closer and closer, finding the peaceful understanding that love provides.

This has to be hands down the sweetest book I’ve ever read. I felt so content when I finished this book. I’m not sure I have felt that content after reading a book. There is a bit of angst but nothing that would make you stress that they wouldn’t get their happy ending. I was so happy at a few moments of this book and was tearing up. Henry and Julian’s story is heartbreakingly beautiful. Both men are bit damaged from previous experiences. And it seems all they need is each other. Their love genuine and beautiful and I truly never wanted this book to end. I’m super excited to read Aiden and Nate’s story!

I’ve never done anything like this, but I think it’s time to be bold. Would Galileo sit at home not experimenting with things because he never had? No. Would Newton have decided gravity wasn’t worth researching? No. It’s time for me to get my head out of the clouds and do something with myself.

I love me some nerd love. I have to tell you, nothing makes me happier than seeing a nerd find their happily ever after especially if they're someone I had the instinct to wrap up in blankets and protect from the second I read the first hint of them. The epilogue for Stars Collide did that to me for Julien. I have loved that sweet, silly nerd from the second he and his whacky nicknames graced my Kindle and I have never stopped, and I'm pretty sure I never will!

What do you mean you haven't read Stars Collide yet??? Go and grab it! Devour it!!!

I'll wait...

Gravity is the second installment in Mia Monroe's Written in the Stars series and it was everything I was hoping it would be!

Julien and Henry are two of the sweetest, yet slightly battered and broken, nerds I have ever read. They shared such a similar past that the flaws of their accelerated childhoods ends up forming an incredible bond between them. Both of them went through accelerated learning being years ahead of their true social peers. The trauma left over from being thrust into more mature situations and not being able to experience just being a kid colouring their perspectives on the world. They became who they are, and probably developed the compassion they both have in spades, based on these experiences. And they're space nerds!

Space is cool *shrugs*. Totally sexy. Like bow ties.

I think what I really love is that despite the awkwardness of their first encounter, Jules and Henry truly do become friends before becoming something more. They watch movies and tv shows together, they talk, they share all those things that we're always worried about when we let someone in - hell, they even go to a con together! Cosplaying no less!!!! I need more cosplay books in my life.

The Darth Vader guy motions for some people dressed like Storm Troopers. After a quick explanation of what we’re doing, two of the Storm Troopers grab my arms as if pulling me away, but Julien grabs my shirt, tilts his face, and yes, I lean in and kiss that gorgeous mouth. It’s a peck, but it’s a kiss.

“I love you,” Julien says, with so much sincerity it takes my brain a few lagged seconds to realize this is role playing.

“I know,” I murmur Han’s famous line, studying Julien’s eyes.

Holy swooning Batman! That makes my nerdy little heart happy! True story, that was always one of my favourite scenes for Han and Leia - I was so convinced that it was the most romantic moment possible for that space pirate and the badass rebel princess. Who would have thought I would get it acted out in a cosplay moment between these two adorkable men??? My heart was not prepared!

I could wax poetic about Jules & Henry all day long, but I think you'd probably rather I do my sharey-sharey thing so you can get to reading.

And now let me share a few of my...

Favourite Lines -

It totally does not bother me that the Gabenator and Captain Planet are in the observatory getting it on. Nope. Not jealous.

“Want to go eat some tacos? Tacos make everything better.”

“You better hold my hand, or someone might try to capture you and keep you all for themselves.”

“And then what would happen?”

“I’d have to break in, get in a bunch of trouble, end up frozen. Wouldn’t be good.”

“You’re cute when you blush.”

I shake my head. “No, I’m never cute. I’m a tough ginger.”

"That’s why I think space is cool. There’s so much in it—stars, planets, moons, and galaxies—but yet, here we are. Just one Henry and just one Julien.”

As we walk, I grab his hand again to make sure we don’t get separated in the huge crowd. Yep, that’s why.

“I guess in its simplest form...what I think is cool is that there’s nothing you can do about it when it’s present. Two objects exert a force of attraction and draw together.” He smiles. “I’m revealing that not only am I a massive space nerd, but I’m a hopeless romantic. Gravity is like attraction to me. You can’t fight it once it's present.”

I wish I knew what went wrong for him. Maybe I could be the man who shows him it could be different. Maybe we could be an Orion Nebula. I shake my head. It would probably be a supernova like all my other relationships.

"I hold no reverence for my virgin status. It’s not a sacred gift or some shit. Virgin worship culture is not for me.”

LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!!!

“Because it’s a dick and dicks are good. Doesn’t matter what kind it is. Doesn’t matter if you were born with it, got it later, use a toy to have it. Dicks are good.”

“Where is Romeo?”

“Morning off. He had to get his car serviced.”

Samuel waggles his eyebrows. “Sounds like he’s really good at servicing.”

“Fair, but YOLO as the kids say.”

“Uh, used to say. Now they yeet things.”

“Any age can yeet.”

“This sounds like some kind of bodily function discussion.”

“Jules, they obviously did for him. I think he fell for you and it freaked him out.”

“So I lose anyway. The first guy who likes me back is too fucked up to follow through. Same result.”

“Don’t you know by now, Henry? I’d rather be with you than anyone else.”

“Oh my god. You discovered rimming.”

“That is some amazing shit. Giving and receiving. Like, who knew that part of your body was like, yes please, may I have another?”

“Who was the first person who looked at an asshole and was like, yeah, I’m gonna eat that?”

Run, don't walk, RUN and grab your copy of Gravity today.

I'm dying to see more of the Blue Moon Planetarium crew, and I bet you will be too! While I do want the story up on deck next for this crew (Nate & Aiden because the gamer in me loves seeing the gamer geeks), I'm definitely in this for the long haul and hoping for a happily ever after for Richard (hopefully with Easton... PLEASE!!!!).

Trust me, you won't regret it!

This is book two in Mia Monroe’s, Written in the Stars series. Julian is a long-time employee of the planetarium. Everyone that works there has become his family. He enjoys his job, loves his friends, is passionate about stars, but the one thing missing is someone to share his passions with. Julien is looking for a lasting, long-term commitment; however, he decides after many failed attempts that dating could benefit him. However, long time insecurities bubble up to the surface and the night does not end with wishes on a shooting star.

Henry is not made for long-term relationships or so he thinks after a tragically bad break-up. He has been satisfied with his hook-up stance since and refuses to linger. He works on pushing people away so that no one is allowed to orbit him completely, just pass by. When Henry takes a job at the planetarium, his new co-worker, Julien, was a past hook-up disaster. Julien and Henry decide very quickly to play it as friends, but soon find out that they have way more in common than they originally thought. It doesn’t help that their chemistry is as hot as a supernova.

So if Julien needs help working through some insecurities and Henry isn’t looking for anything permanent, the solution is simple, right? This books brings back the entire planetarium family, introduces a new employee into the hoard, and combines to create such a sweet explosion of atoms. If you haven’t read the first book, I recommend reading that book first, Stars Collide is the perfect introduction into this series and book two leaves me wishing upon stars for book three.

Julien works at Blue Moon Planetarium. He is cute, friendly, and well-liked. He longs to be in a real relationship but tends to give his heart away too easily. He becomes very shy and nervous with the idea of a hookup and has self-worth issues. He hopes that maybe giving a dating app a try might help him with his problems...but unfortunately, it did not go as planned.

Henry Kingston is a new hire at the Planetarium. And it is a shock to them both to find out that after their "hookup that did not really happen" that they are now coworkers. Henry has just got out of a bad long term relationship and still has the shattered heart and underlying issues to prove it. He is not looking for love or any kind of relationship. He thinks hookups are all he has to give and tries to avoid any mushy gushy stuff.

So they decide they should just be coworkers and friends. But they have so many things in common from their educations to their interests. They get along well and have fun, but that attraction and the crushes they are feeling do not seem to go away.

Julien needs some practical experience. Henry could use some stress relief but needs to guard his heart. How bad could friends with benefits be?

This is a sweet, funny, heartfelt, friends-with-benefits, and double science-nerd romance. These two are just so stinkin' cute together. I loved seeing them gradually open up to each other even though some of their biggest insecurities and issues took longer to discuss. Henry is so patient, kind, and understanding with Julien. And Julien has such a big heart and tries to give Henry what he needs even when he does not want to admit that he does. Their vulnerability, acceptance, companionship, and support they show each other is just so natural and endearing. Their chemistry and connection are undeniable. But they do have some challenges, misperceptions, and miscommunication to deal with. They both have some things they have to face in order to heal and try to move on.

I love this group and I jumped right back into the setting. It brings back all of the Planetarium gang and I enjoyed spending more time with them, especially Gabe and Jeremiah. I love how protective they are of each other. I am looking forward to more with Aiden, Nate, Samuel, Easton, and Richard.

Henry and Julien’s first meeting doesn’t go super well, for reasons. But when they become coworkers at a Boston planetarium, they have a second chance to capitalize on the epic chemistry they share. While this book is part of a series, it can totally work as a stand alone. The planetarium has a rich cast of characters, and they make a great backdrop for Henry and Julien’s relationship. They are, from the start, adorable together: they share nerd culture, an understanding of the difficulties that come with being a bright kid pushed too quickly through a rigorous education, and a sweet, almost gentle vibe. No matter what they’re doing, they’re having fun, and it’s easy to see how good of a couple they could be. Of course, there are some issues to work through first, on both sides.

Initially, I felt like the give and take between Henry and Julien was uneven-- Henry helps and supports Julien emotionally and physically, but Julien seems focused on himself, rather than fully reciprocating that care and concern. He knows that Henry has his own emotional trauma to process, but he has a hard time moving past the impact it has on him. My perception changed, however, as the novel went on, as Julien really steps up in the second half, and they guys end up being the perfect supports for each other. I loved their relationship metaphor-- that they can be each other’s gravity, the stabilizing force that grounds and connects them without destabilizing either-- and I like that they each get a chance to prove that, at different times and in different ways.

My only real complaint was that I felt Henry sometimes got the short end of the stick from the planetarium crew. As the newcomer in the friend group, he gets all the pressure and protective-of-Julien vibes, but not a lot of support for himself, unless you count people pressuring him to go after Julien or lose him forever, without really considering whether that’s good or helpful for him (I’m looking at you here, Samuel). I know that the overprotective friend/family member is a staple in romance, but tbh, I’ve never liked it as a plot device-- it feels overbearing and invasive, rather than caring, particularly for Henry, whose had way too much of the ‘tough love’ approach in his life already. This is, however, the only critical thing I had to say about this novel, and overall, I really enjoyed it. If you want plenty of steam and sweetness, with a dash of astronomy and some excellent cosplay, give this one a try.

*I received an ARC of this book from the author and voluntarily composed an unbiased review.

Sigh.....it's not that I didn't like it....it's just that it didn't work for me in a lot more ways then it did. This is the second book in the series and my second read from this author and I am getting a sense for how her stories play out. There is a lot of sweetness and some angst, but I feel like the dialogue is too scripted and there was a main plan for how the story would go and things were just ticked of a list. And this story was a bit too insta-lovey for my tastes. It's never the MC's that throw me off....I actually very much enjoyed Julien and Henry and am invested in the rest of the crew, so I will be reading more, I'll just be going in with eyes wide open and my expectations a bit lower.

We know Julien from book one and from the epilogue we know he wants to start getting back in the dating pool so he downloads an app. There, he meets Henry and they plan to meet up later that night. When book two starts, we are back to that night, but then we go directly to a week later and learn it didn't go so well. But fate is a tricky bitch and Julien's new trainee is Henry himself. Henry feels rejected, Julien is embarassed, but they both feel a connection decide to be friends. They both have their own baggage and I do not want to sound like I am not sensitive to people's trauma, and I am not doubting the hurt Julien felt from his past experiences, but I just.....I don't know. The whole thing felt weird to me. And Henry's past relationship trauma is legit. He was in a very unhealthy situation that I felt he should probably seek professional help for.

That leads me to why I didn't fully buy into Henry's turn around. I have no doubt that someone loving you can help you heal. What bothered me is that Henry was so worried of falling into old patterns that he pulled away only to jump two feet in the deep end quickly after. Henry didn't really do any healing in my opinion. Not to the extent I feel would have been necessary after hearing what he went through. It just didn't seem realistic to me. I feel like things could have happened differently to flush out the story and characters more. It also became really freaking sweet to the point of me rolling my eyes.

So. If you know this author you know what you're getting into and you will probably like her or not like her. If you are discovering her for the first time and want something sweet and low angst this is probably for you.

Julien and Henry...It’s that otherworldly kind of love.

A disastrous hookup that didn’t happen and three weeks later they turn out to be coworkers. Embarrassment and insecurities keep explanations at bay but leads to a friendship that uncovers a connection that they either of them have had before. Even as friends their chemistry is tangible. You see both guys grew up similar but came upon their insecurities in different ways, which gives you insight to why neither of them are in a relationship. You are able to feel the vulnerability from both of them and in the beginning when they decide just to be friends it feels like a real friendship.

You get about 40% into the book until things start getting hot. Sex with no feelings... come on! When you already care about the person cause your friends.. get out of here! What is the difference between best friends with benefits and boyfriend? Mmm. No much.

Henry is scared from scares of relationship past, and he holds onto that trauma like armor.
His feelings start to develop and he is scared of even thinking about how Julien feels, so he creates distance between them without any explanation. Hurt happens anyway, no matter how much they wished it didn’t because honesty is to scary and trust that this could be real.

Distance actually proves something to the both of them and they realize that sometimes when it’s spoken the secrets we keep, we release its hold on us. When M you have the right person, they will actually help you reach your dreams. Not because you are dependent on them, but because they make you more confident in yourself that you realize the sky is the limit. Moving on from past hurt is tough, there is a moment where you have to realize are you holding your self back not because you need time to heal, but because of fear.

“With Julien it feels like...like unlocking the secrets of the universe. It all makes sense now. I make sense now.”

When they finally get together you just find yourself smiling. Plot twist...they lived happily ever after.

One of my favorites things about Mia’s books is how she creates a world of characters and you want to get to know all of them! In this book it explores the personalities of some other characters that you just know are going to be fun to see in future books. Samuel is delightful!

Gravity is the second book of the Written in the Stars series. It is a second chance failed connection story built on a strong foundation of friendship.

Julian and Henry have a hookup resulting out of Julian’s loneliness and desire to find a connection. Henry has decided that it is only physical for him going forward, no relationships. It obviously goes terribly wrong and that is where they expected it to end. I really enjoyed that both were mature enough upon finding out they will be working together to put it behind them. It is refreshing to see characters
accept that things sometimes don’t go right but they can still be professional and start over and become friends without a lot of unnecessary angst.

Julian and Henry have a shared life experience of being young prodigies and the emotional scars that come from that. They have never had regular friendships or peer groups growing up and both had enormous pressure and expectations put on them by their families which are still affecting them now.
They also have a lot of common interests, and I was really invested in the friendship they were building. It was lovely to see two lonely people forging such a strong connection. I enjoyed the open and honest communication about their interests, wants and physical needs with the sole major exception of what
has happened to Henry to have him terrified of having a relationship which leads to the angst, low as it is, in the book. Once they get past that they have one of the healthiest relationships I have read.

Henry’s sister Natalie and Julian’s best friend Samuel are great supporting characters, and I really came to love Samuel. He really deserves his own HEA. While the first book in the series Stars Collide is still my favorite by a small margin Julian is one of my favorite characters ever. I just want to wrap him in cotton wool and protect him from the world. I felt for Henry but his confusion and actions towards Julian made him hard to understand and empathize with later in the book until we find out his very valid reasons. But that leads to a beautiful and heartfelt
apology and a very satisfying HEA.

The entire planetarium crew are sweet, smart fascinating space geeks and I have fallen for them all. I cannot wait for the rest of their stories.

Gravity is the second book in the Written in the Stars series and this a sweet, romantic and charming story, both Julien and Henry amazing characters and have so many similarities, both are very smart and have a special love for the universe and the stars.
These two first meet through a dating app, Julien wants to hookup and took a chance to go meet king Henry... what could have been a good time became a epic fail when Julien panicked and ran, a few days later they meet again.
Julien and Henry became co-workers and developed a friendship, they feel the attraction but both wants different things. Henry just want to hookup, he is still heartbroken because a bad relationship and thinks that he is too damaged to love Julien but he can’t help to develop feelings for him. Julien has a low self esteem problems because he was bullied in the past and is affair of trusting another person with is body. They agreed to start a friends with benefits kind a relationship. As this arrangement progressed they started to develop feelings and that scared Henry and he ends their agreement, they both need the space to sort each others feeling and thinks what they want. I love that help each other sort out their problems and they get the chance to truly enjoy being together and in love.
I want to be friends with all the guys in the planetarium they are the best!
The book is well written and Mia always delivered an amazing story full of Romance, with sweet and adorable characters.... and super steamy too!... how doesn’t love a good first time, friends with benefits low angst story! I have a great time reading this book and I can’t recommend it enough! I can’t wait to the next book in this awesome series!

Absolutely spectacular!! Mia has done it again. What I love most about Mia’s stories is the ability she has of writing stories in the same universe that feel completely different. Unlike the sexy banter and the strong headed hunks she brought us in Stars Collide, Gravity is filled with vulnerability and growth and just that heart melting love.

Julien and Henry are just the swooniest and soooo adorable together!! After a failed attempt of a hookup Julien finds out he’s new coworker and said hookup are the same guy, talk about awkward! Not wanting to hear excuses guarded Henry proposes to just be friends and ohhh what a beautiful friendship it is! The connection with this two is immediate, and while that friendships builds, so does the angst. However, two beautiful boys attracted to each other enter a Friends with Benefits arrangement, nothing is gonna go wrong! They’re definitely not falling for each other! Right? Right???

I really liked how the relationship developed. And I absolutely loved the patience that Henry showed with all of Julien’s self doubt. But also, I loved the scene with Henry’s parents, for me, that scene, the support Julien showed Henry was the perfect full circle moment of both of them being each other’s anchor. One of the things I most liked about this book was that one of the most intimate scene was the first cuddle scene. I loved that it was a genuine search of comfort!!! I can’t recommend this book enough, Jooley Booley and King Henry are ready to take you to swoonland!

The anticipation for this book was everything. It lived up to what I thought it would be an more.
Sweet sweet Jules just wants to be wanted and loves in the most epic way. Henry just wants to find himself again after a terrible relationship, and not be left in pieces so hook ups only is the way he wants it.
Henry starts work at the planetarium and right away the pull between him and Julian is there, even after an encounter that didn't end so good 2 weeks prior. Their friendship is immediate and so precious. Jules opens up about something he is so insecure about which is absolutely heartbreaking and sweet Henry offers to help him through it being friends with benefits. They're so hot together but it's truly a beautiful friendship, you can't not fall in love with them. Henry is also battling some of his own insecurities which Jules doesn't know about and unfortunately adds a bump in the road for them. But Henry discovering Jules is exactly who and what's he needs is a journey they both needed to go on separately for a little bit. But Gravity wins out and these two have a pull toward each other which simply can't be ignored.
I love all these characters Mia has created in this series the bond is real between them all. The love and support these characters offer each other is truly such a precious gift few experience in real life.

Oh this book gave me all the feelings! I am such a fan of Mia Monroe's writing. She is so skilled at creating a world of characters I just adore and want to be happy. We met Julien in book 1 and we didn't learn too much about him other than he was a solid friend, all around good person, and king of handing out nick names. Here we get his story and what a sweet story it is!
Henry starts working at Blue Moon and immediately he and Julien hit it off. They have so much in common, just click as friends, and really understand each other. They both have some trauma, insecurities, and issues they begin to help each other deal with--one of the biggest is helping Julien lose his virginity status! Holy smokes can Mia write steamy scenes so well. This was an amazing first time scene with all the heat, but also so much sweetness and emotion--it was fabulous! There is a bit of angst here too as Henry takes a little longer to move on from his past, but that is done really well--with both of them surrounded by friends and family that love and guide them toward their HEA! Once again there is such a sense of found family and love that brings everything together! I am so excited to see what book 3 in this great series brings!

Another Great Book from Mia Monroe. The guys of the Blue Moon Planetarium are a wonderful cast of characters.

This book centers around Henry and Julian, both geniuses in their own right so its a fair match in the brain department, but that is where the similarity ends (at least for me).

Henry was in a toxic relationship that colors what he believes he deserves and what his life should look like. His past relationship and that with his parents color a lot of the decisions that he makes and sometimes you just want to shake him. Thank god for his sister. She is able to get through to him at an important time.

Julian has never been intimate because of people in his past. (Stupid people). His best friend Simon and his new friend Henry help him overcome his insecurities and he becomes a more confident man and then turns around and helps his friend Henry confront his fears.

There is drama, but not a huge amount, just right I would say and the MM action is off the charts. I can't wait to see what comes next for these guys and hope that one minor character in this books makes an appearance in a new one....

I did receive an ARC Copy because I am obsessed with books by Mia and this new series Written in the Stars is great so far.

While I loved this book, I didn’t love it as much as the first in the series. I adored Julian’s character who is just ball of sweetness. He hasn’t had good experiences with love so far in his life and he’s riddled with insecurity and low self-esteem. My heart went out to him because all he wanted was someone to finally love him for who he is. The only thing I struggled with was whether Henry was the right fit for him. They were adorable together as friends and I liked that Henry did treat him gently and with so much adoration. I just think that he was a little back-and-forth, and while I could rationally understand his hesitation to be anything more, it didn’t quite feel believable the way it was written. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the repetition about exactly why he couldn’t be more with Julian - it got a bit tedious every time it was mentioned. Apart from that, I did truly like Henry as a character; I just didn’t feel as though he fully meshed with Julian as a romantic partner.

But that didn’t stop me swooning and sighing along with Henry and Julian as they have one of the sweetest romances ever! It’s packed full of sweet and tender touches, heart-fluttering kisses in the rain, gorgeous cosplaying, and a very satisfying HEA.

I really liked how romantic this was, and the MCs had great chemistry. The group is so much fun - this is an awesome series and I love all the characters. One of the themes in particular was relatable, and it was done super well: gifted kids, pressure, and burnout. When it was discussed in the book, it felt like so many conversations I've had; it was genuinely believable and handled well.

The reason this is a 3-star for me is that some parts felt like they were dragging. Was it really necessary to include, say, meeting both sets of parents, including the set that was just chill and welcoming? All we got out of that entire scene was an extra confirmation that Henry is a bit old-fashioned because of his cool grandfather, which we already knew. And there was just too much dialogue. It felt like, half the time, whenever someone opened their mouth, a speech would come out, and the reply would be another speech, and so on. After a point, I started to skim it. I'll still rec it to my friends, though, with these caveats. It's just too sweet to pass up!

This book was like simple syrup injected directly into my veins. Free base sugar, seriously. Kisses in the rain? Slow dancing to Sinatra? A very sexy couples costume? And so many heart eyes. Also, someone give Samuel a trophy. He deserves it, racking up all that good karma with his not-so-gentle matchmaking skills. I can't wait until he gets his HEA.

Julien made me smile. He was the sweetest guy and I was rooting for him so hard. I loved watching him become confident in his own skin. And Henry was such a good person, even when he was pissing me off. I was surprised by how emotional I got a few times while reading this book. I love stories where one person is "teaching" the other how to be comfortable sexually, but the added layer in this book made it feel even more special. And again, these are the most kind and polite people ever. Is this author from Texas? Because we Texans will thank and you're welcome a person to death, just like these characters do.

This book was another win in my opinion. I can't wait to read about Aiden and Nate! And Samuel soon too???? Please???

This series is fantastic. As each story is released it becomes my favorite of the series. This story is just so charming. The characters are both so attracting. Both Henry and Julien have so many similarities. Both are a genius. Both have had bad luck in the relationship department. Both have felt the pressure of being “too” smart. But Henry also has had to face the lack of support from his parents. As their “friendship” develops I could not set the book down. As they each explain their problem with relationships my heart broke. As they each figure out their future, I felt so happy. This author knows how to write emotion into her stories. The sex is hot and at times almost funny. The ending made me happy. This is one of those stories that made me appreciate the author’s talent and that I got to enjoy it.

This was just lovely!

I adored Julien. He was the sweetest man with with the biggest heart. Henry was the perfect match for Julien, a beautiful soul who loved with everything he had, but after being hurt too many times, was just afraid to open his heart again. Their story was so charming and comforting.

The author wrote them in such a way that it was easy to really know them, to understand their emotions and the reasons behind any of their choices. It made it all the more heart-warming to witness the adoration that slowly and easily developed between them, even when they kept trying to downplay their feelings. Their connection has always been undoubtedly strong, it was only a matter of them taking the time to own up to the love they felt.

Gravity is sweet, funny, sexy, real and heartwarming all at once. A must read!

"He was only meant to be a hookup. Until he became my coworker."
Gravity is a steamy, low angst, friends with benefits, first time romance and it is book 2 in the Written in the Stars serie.
The story is about Henry (a Sinatra-lover obsessed with Leonardo da Vinci) and Julien, who is super sweet, sexy and hot and I loved them both right from the start.
Henry is super cute especially when asks for cuddles, and Julien is this wonderful virgin who melts my heart.
The relationships between Henry and Nat and between Jules and Samuel are stunning.
Like in the previous books of the series (Stars Collide, and the prequel A Sea of Stars), Mia takes you to the Blue Moon Planetarium and you can feel as you really are there.
Last but not least, I love the way Mia brought Jude and Casper in here, makes me wanna re-read them all.
Can't wait for the rest of the serie.
