After finishing Autumn, I knew I had to continue on with this series. And I don't regret it. There's just something about this world that I find fascinating. The magic system is really cool and interesting and the place it takes in the story quite unique. As for the plot, it was truly compelling, even more than the first book because there was more action and the pace was a bit quicker. I really enjoyed the writing, as I had before, that is very immersive and addictive. The pages turned on their own and I didn't even see time pass as I read. The characters are very realistic and therefore relatable, and even if there are a lot of POVs, it's easy to follow because the writing adapts to some extent and the protagonists are very different from one another. The story was full of twists, danger, battles and magic, a perfect mix for a good epic fantasy story. It reminds me of Lord of the Rings, but a version for younger people because it's easier to understand, and I truly loved it. I'm excited to read the newt book in the series to learn even more about the characters and what happens to them next.
I recommend for fans of fantasy stories with a gripping plot and immersive story.
