It’s never too late for a fresh start…especially on San Juan Island… Tiffany Clifton knew that quitting her big city job and taking on small town life would be an adjustment. She was even prepared to work for her sister and confront just how far off-course her life had gone. He’ll just have to somehow stay focused and ignore his inconvenient attraction to the woman who could so easily break down all the walls around his heart. If Tiffany and Sidney want to take a shot at love, they have much to overcome…including the inconvenient secret that Tiffany’s keeping. Will their foundation be strong enough to survive the trouble ahead—or will their happily ever after slip through the cracks? Amelia Addler is an author of feel-good romantic women's fiction stories. Her books focus on the importance of family, love and hope - all intermingled with romance and mystery. Her popular Westcott Bay series takes place on beautiful San Juan Island, just off the coast of Washington State, and offers an escape for readers and arm-chair travelers alike.
Amelia lives in Pittsburgh with her husband and little dog. When she's not writing, she's busy plotting trips to San Juan Island to see the killer whales, or explaining to people on hikes that her dog is not, in fact, a coyote.
You can join her reader's email list for updates, catch pictures of her dog on Instagram, or ask her a question here on Goodreads!
This book wasn't as good as the last three. Don't know if I didn't like the characters as much, or what. I am going to keep reading the series, however!
Book 4 is a continuing story. Tiffany moves home because emotionally she couldn’t stay at her job after her best friend passed away. She is going to stay on the Island and help her sister Jade work on her project. The park developers and builders are ready to go but the second in command - Sidney doesn’t have a very high opinion of Tiffany. Morgan and the family are going to the trial of the woman accused of killing her Mother. The trial is exciting! The verdict is even better! Altogether a good series. I liked it so well I became an ARC reader and look forward to the next story about Tiffany, Jade and Morgan’s brother, Connor.
Najstarsza z rodzeństwa Cliftonów, Tiffany, robiła karierę w Nowym Jorku, później w Chicago, a w rodzinie miała opinię pracoholiczki.
Wiele w swoim życiu musi przewartościować, wyznaczyć inne życiowe cele, zastanowić się nad nową hierarchią wartości, wyżej ulokować odwagę, nadzieję i wiarę w miłość, w spotkanie ciekawego życiowego partnera.
Saltwater Crossings is by Amelia Addler. It takes place on San Juan Island off the coast of Washington state. This fourth book is as good as the first one and makes great summer reading. Colby Smith has left some land to the city and Jade is leading the committee to build on the property. Eric and Sidney Burke had wanted to build a resort on the property but now just wanted a chance to do the building on the property for the city. Jade is happy to work with them and they have come up with a wonderful people friendly project. Jade, with Eric’s help, has applied for a grant to fund the project and they are all at the Milky Way Star Awards for Jade to be presented the award with the grant to follow. The committee is waiting for the money to arrive before awarding the contract to the builder chosen to build the project. Eric’s father is worried about Eric messing up the project and embarrassing the company. Eric and Sidney feel the pressure to get the project. Then a series of mishaps occur which change the entire project around. Who is in control and who is still trying to stop the project? Suspicion of betrayal and misleading statements cause lots of problems for everyone involved.
This is the 4th book in this series about a woman who moves to San Juan Island after her divorce and tries to make a new life for herself as well as a second home for her adult children. Each book follows a different person in this family. This book might have been my favorite as it centers around Tiffany, a woman with whom I can identify. She is strong, intelligent, driven and independent -- all characteristics that are often not thought of as attractive in women. She has a great job in finance but after the death of one of her friends/co-worker, she begins to wonder if there is more to life. As she moves to the island, she begins to help her sister, Jade, in her attempt to turn some land into a state park. In this work, she meets an irritating man, Sidney, who is working with his cousin to get the contract to build the park. Some twists and turns but nothing offensive. A nice read.
Again, a great story, but it lacked the depth and detail of a true romantic mystery. I'm not even sure you could call the books in this series a romance novel - there is limited to no romance, not even closed door. There are lunch of dinner dates, and maaaaayyyybbe 1 or 2 kisses, but nothing else. They go from 'dating' to engaged. The trial part of this story drove me NUTS! They might not have been able to use the recorded confession as evidence, but Luke should have been able to share the conversation had between the 3 of them when she did confess. Not as good as a recording, but still. Instead he wasn't able to share any details at all, but he was able to say that she confessed...? Makes zero sense. More detail, more depth to the story needed.
The fourth installation of this Wescott Bay was just as good as the previous books. This book focuses on Tiffany, Margie's oldest daughter. Tiffany is a work-alcoholic. She has put her all into her career and has found out that companies do not care about you. I have always said anyone can be easily replaced in a company except the person who owns it. But it is in Tiffany's soul to give her all no matter what it is. In this book, it is to help her sister Jada. It is exciting. Full of energy and excitement and not to mention a little love story. Give it a chance. I think you will love it, too.
I am really enjoying this series! This is Tiffany's story and how she got her life sorted out. Along the way she discovered what's important to her. Helping her sister Jade with her parks project. I loved where the story went and what happened. Didn't see that twist. I liked that Sydney and Tiffany were both great together and evenly matched. And Morgan's mother's trial started and had some slight hiccups but it ended the way it should have. Can't wait to read Connors story next
Each of these books begins with a very brief recap of the prior books in the series. But I highly recommend starting at the beginning, then the recaps are just a nice reminder to get you ready for the next book. Each book focuses mainly on a member of the Clifton family, but all the members of the family remain involved. This book sees a conclusion to the trial of Morgan's mother's killer, continues Jade's dream of a park, and Tiffany finding her way again in her career and falling in love. Now I am off to read the next book!
Saltwater Crossing continues the story of starting over in Westcott Bay. Tiffany and Sidney both need to learn what they really want from life. I love the characters in these books. Finally we get to know more about Tiffany. Her story intrigued me and I just kept reading! One continuing mystery ends with Andrea's trial but the drama with the Washington Parks Department continues. If you like sweet romance with some drama, do not miss this book!
This is a wonderful series, all the characters make this so much fun to read! The 3 sisters and their mom just keep going. Each book is about a different family member and what is going in their lives, Morgan, Jade, and Tiffany are sisters, each very different, read this series you won't be sorry!! I am on book 5 already ! So happy that I found this author!! Great job Amelia Addler
I am worried there are not enough family members to keep this series going forever
Sometimes you fall into a story but this is like falling into a family. Nobody is perfect and everyone is finding their way, stumbling along with backup and love to make it through. I love the characters and the tone. I don’t watch tv abut this is more entertaining than anything I watched for a very long time before I gave up on that medium.
My least favorite of the series so far. This is the story of Tiffany and Sidney... the basic premise to the "romance" was that they both presumed things about the other that weren't true while they were attempting to work with each other on this park... and then it turns into a caper where the ladies steal email from a skeevy parks employee.
I love the San Juan Islands so the setting is what originally drew me to this story. I’ve read 4 books in the series so far and have a couple in my “tbr” list. This is my time reading Amelia Adler, I am enjoying her light hearted reading style, her interesting characters and the connections to my favorite islands.
If you enjoy reading lightweight fluff you will enjoy this series. The dialogue is not well-developed, and the reading level is most likely junior high. Also, in each book there is at least one typo, which is unacceptable. I could be more specific, but I do not want to include spoilers.
One other reviewer described these books as “junior high”. The characters aren’t junior high and are adults and the story line is adult material. They are just very innocent. The romance is very innocent. I think in this book, there was one kiss at the end of the book. These books are very clean. I like the characters. They are very nice people.
Another great novel in the Wescott Bay Series. I really like how each book tends to focus on one character while involving characters from previous books. Each book also adds a touch of mystery. This one was focused on Tiffany. Looks like it's Connor's turn in book 5.
Normally I listen to books on Audible but this was not available yet. Didn’t think I could find the time to read again but once I started I just kept going. This might be my favorite one of this series. Loved every minute!
I’m loving this series. All of the little dramas are so much to read. I look forward to the next book in the series with each ending of the book I’m currently reading.
Book 4 in the Westcott Bay novels this time centering around the eldest Clinton sister Tiffany. A quick enjoyable Christian read as one begins to eagerly read about the family.
Saltwater Crossing is a wonderful read. I enjoyed the characters. I thought it was well written. I thought the storyline was really good. It's a page turner and kept my interest.
I loved this book also . Can't wait to start the next one .I was happy to finally read about Tiffany and Disney getting together and Connor finally coming home. Its sad about mom and the Chief , they'll be fine .
I downloaded this book because i've read the others and this brought freedom to some of the group. Jades mom's killer has been found and punished. Tiffany found love. The clan is healing, what new wonders are to.come?
What a fantastic book Saltwater Crossing is. I love this book and the entire series for their intrigue as much as for their romance. What a fantastic writer Amelia Addler is. I am very excited to read Connor's story.
I can't get enough of these book! I really love the main characters. Would love to visit. Can't wait to read what is happening next. Must read.....I referring to my family and friends. Hard for me to put them down. Just want to keep reading.
