Burned bridges have a habit of biting you in the tail.
When Cooper chose his wolf-shifter pack over me, he crushed my little fox-shifter heart. With my own identity in turmoil, he'd been the one constant... and we'd been becoming more than secret friends.
Now, I have no choice but to lean on the witches who've risen from the graves to join the ancient fight. But their motivation for helping me are far from noble.
With Coop's allegiance in question, I don't know if I have the will to sacrifice him. After all, if the witches turn me into a deadly weapon against the new alpha, I won't come out alive.
If only what's dead and gone would stay that way.

This author has blown me away with this book! It was written wonderfully and I absolutely could NOT put it down. Flowed wonderfully and easy to follow along with.
This book starts out almost immediately after book one. Dot finds herself stuck as a fox and giving up hope of shifting back to her human self. She finds it difficult to communicate with her sisters who are trying to help her. While trying to figure it out she goes threw heartbreak over her best friend, Cooper, who she sees as betraying herself. Throughout this book we get more of Dot and Cooper, her sisters and their familiars, more Wolf shifters, as well as a little more information about the wolfs. There are some major twists that will leave you shocked and asking yourself how you missed that. Dickon was absolutely one of my favorites throughout this book. There is so much more to him. This book had me laughing so much. Between Dot and her sisters, Dot and Cooper, and Dickon it makes one humorous read.
This book is not predictable nor boring. An absolute must read by this author! Can’t wait to see what happens next.
Witches Bridge is the second book in this amazing urban fantasy series. This book starts with Dot being stuck in her fox form and struggling because she is unable to communicate with her witch sisters and is afraid she may not be able to shift to human again. Dot is also heart broken because her wolf-shifter crush, Cooper had betrayed her. I loved this book and thought it was a great follow up to the first and can’t wait to see what happens next.
This second book carry’s on from book one and is every bit as awesome ! The story just grabs you and pulls you in and beware when you pick this up cause you will not be able to put it down! Shifters and witches, an ancient feud , there’s betrayal, intrigue and twists and turns to shock you! A great addition to this urban fantasy!
Wow! Where to start. Dot, a familiar to a witch she has kept under control for centuries is slowly becoming stronger. When her aunt passes she suddenly finds her home invaded by a group of witches whom declare are her aunts sisters. They are sisters by coven only. Not knowing which way is up anymore she meets a missing sister witch a her aunts will reading. Then things get even crazier. Things are strained with the wolf shifters and with the arrival of the sisters fireworks start exploding. A great fast and detailed read! I was given the opportunity to read this book as an ARC through this wonderful author and is not affiliated with Goodreads.
Intense After her aunt delivered the heartbreaking truth about what Jennet had done, Dot must deal with the fallout and consequences for herself and the wolf clan, once she is human again. The war amps up between the witches and the wolves with devastating results. This installment is filled with danger, disappointment, betrayal, danger, action, and drama. I could not put it down. This must-read will keep you up reading all the way to the cliffhanger. I loved this tale. I received a free copy of this book for an honest review
The second book in the series. Burned bridges have a habit of biting you in the tail. When Cooper chose his wolf-shifter pack over me, he crushed my little fox-shifter heart. The main characters are Dot and Cooper and there families ,these characters come to life and put on a great show. This book was awesome from start to finish.
This story is getting to be so good. I loved book 1 and now book 2 even more so. I can’t wait for the next one! I’m anxious to find out what happens next. Definitely recommend this series.
This series continues to pull all the stops. Therea enough mystery and drama to keep the reader invested from start to finish. Love and loss are heavy throughout the book, friendships are tested, and answers are sought. The plot twists were superb and the character development seamless. It brought so much more to this series!
Amazing and I absolutely did not want to put it down! This story is so addictive and fun! The twists will definitely keep you on your toes. Her aunt is gone, her house is completely invaded by her coven sisters, all of their familiars, stuck in her fox form and the feud with the wolf shifters is quickly escalating. Dot can't seem to catch a break. I cannot wait for the next book!
Amazing! How I love to read L.B Carter’s stories!!! This is a phenomenal read, that was extremely hard to put down! It’s the kind of book that you tend to neglect some of your responsibilities, so you can continue reading, lol. Thank you for another great adventure!
I loved this book. If I was Dot I'm sure I would have stayed in fox form. Life is easier that way right?! Dot however is not me and this book was worth every second. This is one of Carters best series imo. I couldnt put it down. Cant wait for more.
It's so difficult to watch the relationship between Dot and Cooper turn so ugly, especially knowing how close they were when this story began. But when Dot discovers who she really is and what her place is in the scheme of things, everything becomes a little more hairy, to say the least. So, she leans on her witch sisters to help her figure out how she's going to overcome that other side of her and not lose herself in the process.
These characters' lives are so intricately intertwined throughout the story. There isn't one who doesn't belong or play an important part. I'm not sure how the author keeps them all straight and navigates each of them through this tale, but there are so many directions each of them can go that it has me excited to see where she takes us in the next story.
This is the second book I have read in The Fox and the Howl series it's a haunting urban fantasy story with a bit of forbidden romance thrown in. There is an ongoing feud between the shifters and the witches with ghosts included to which makes it all the more exciting.
Yet again, I have found another addictive series which keeps me turning the pages and just saying only one more chapter and then the next and the next arghhhh!!! I really struggle putting my kindle down when I start these books.
I love these characters and I would say if you can get attached to characters in the book especially Dot I have. But also I don't like Jennet she is one nasty piece of work. Anyway the story continues with Dot the furry fox and the witches and the wolves and spirits totally loved it and addictive too.
Well I got to the last page and shouted at my kindle NO NO NO you can't leave it like that. Well I must say, pretty please hurry up author I really need to know!!!
This book hooked me from the get go. After reading the first, I was practically jumping for the opportunity to read the second. Luckily I got to read one after the other and thank goodness because I had to know what would happen with the two main characters.
The chemistry between the two main characters didn’t disappoint me in this instalment. I love the fact that it’s still taboo for them to see each other, if not more taboo after book ones climax. The banter and conversation between them keep you wanting more. Constantly making you smile, upset, and laugh with the characters.
The new additions surprised me but really made the story pop. I loved plot development, I was never bored, never hoping to finish quickly or skip a chapter. Character arcs were extremely nice, very flushed out and interesting.
The cliff hangers are definitely getting me and I can’t wait for the third instalment.
Once again, this book, this author, is pulling me out of my reading slump and not disappointing.
First, let's talk about the positives. I love that this book was unpredictable. There were plot twists, new characters, and new information. I also love that this book isn't a cookie cutter witch/ shifter tale. There is a uniqueness to this story that really draws you in. However, I did find this book to be a bit boring at times, with some amazing scenes thrown in to keep you reading. The romance, and Cooper in general, were almost non existent this time, and all the different witches and familiars just became confusing. There are definitely things I wish were explained better, but the ending definitely made sure I will be moving onto book 3. I need to know how? where? why now? lol
Another great book in the series, The Fox and the Howl. Book two, “Witches Bridge” by author LB Carter was so much fun to read. So much happens throughout the book that draws you into the story. There are a lot of emotions that the characters go through, especially Dot. LB Carter does a fabulous job writing these emotions because as a reader you can't help but feel them along with the character. I truly enjoyed reading this story and I’m very much looking forward to the next book.
This was a great way to continue Dot’s story. I enjoyed the addition of Jane as a character, as well as seeing more of the shifters. There’s a fantastic scene with Dot and Cooper, but overall, I would have liked to see more of Cooper in this book. I got a little frustrated with Dot and her insistence that Cooper was the enemy, despite everything he’s tried to do. She seemed so content at the end with how things were left with him (trying not to include spoilers). Can’t wait to read book 3!
The MC was not as likable this time around. I do not like when the MC blames herself for everything. Overall, I felt that the storyline was boring and the romance nonexistent. Her “sisters” are just annoying.
I did like the new character introduced. But that was not good enough to save the story. Not reading the next one.
The second book in the series is just as good as the first it’s hard to put down it keeps you hoping Dot can win every time. I’ve read the first two books in a coupe of days.
I really liked the first book, such a beautiful book about paranormal love, and the friendship of a witch and a shapeshifter.
The storytelling and the descriptions were magical, although I didn't like this as much as the first one. This book contained several amazing scenes that I loved to read and they were really exciting. We get to know some other characters too, that we didn't know in the first book which make the story even more interesting.
The only thing that made it a maybe little bit boring for me, that the plot was based mostly on the same problems than it did in the first book and I found it a little bit boring. Even though we had some great twists, so it also has surprises.
If you are interested in paranormal books, with witches and some really cute romance you should check this book out.
