Super Science Encyclopedia is a colorful and engaging look at science by the editors at DK. Due out 17th Aug 2021 from Penguin Random House on their DK imprint, it's 208 pages and will be available in hardcover and ebook formats.
I've been harping for decades about the importance of STE(A)M education and how vital it is to foster a sense of wonder in young people to engage in science and technology. This is a good concise collection of short articles aimed at middle grades readers with a broad overview over different branches of science and allied concepts. The terminology is accessible and does a good job of making information understandable without oversimplifying or being pedantic.
A very short general introduction about science in our daily lives leads directly into chapters filled with short info-dense capsule units about a wide variety of science topics, from microbes and how they impact us to sonar and weather balloons. The book includes a glossary and cross referenced index to make the information easier to find.
The book is well illustrated and colorful throughout. The charts and graphics are easy to understand and accessible and the photography is very good. I liked that it showed the interrelationships between the disciplines in biology, chemistry, and physics. Scattered throughout the book, these interdisciplinary connections are explored and readers are given a closer look at new ideas for further reading. Short colorful sidebar graphics give appealing and concise info-bites for readers to digest along with the main text.
This would be a good choice for public or school libraries as well as for home use. Four stars.

As the title of this book suggests, it introduces a huge facility that utilizes the power of science.
High-tech machines automatically regulate room temperature and air conditioning through self-learning to mass produce our food, grains, vegetables, fruits, salt, and even water.
Section 3, "DEFEATING DISEASES ANTIBIOTICS," states that germs and bacteria in the world are creating a variety of new diseases, and antibiotics are needed to fight them.
I have some doubts about that.
This is because although everything in this world is made up of bacteria, there is a cycle in which they are naturally purified by the heat of the sun and water from rivers and oceans.
Scientists invent antibiotics as new drugs to eliminate bacteria, and medical institutions prescribe and provide medical care to many patients, but in the end they are defeated.
Because nothing is wasted in this world. Babies also have cancer cells.
Let's think about living with them so that we don't multiply them, so that we don't trigger them.
To improve our body's immune system, sleep well for at least 8 hours every day, tire your body and brain, and exercise at a moderate-intensity level three times a week, and be sure to consume plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Science is fascinating, it gives us the knowledge to solve many challenges and problems that we face, but also to admire and respect the natural world of which we are part. It is the foundation of the technology that gives comfort to our daily lives and so many other things in which it has useful applications. This book contains superbs photographs and a splendid design, with extensive content to enlighten the minds of the most inquisitive and curious children. DK Children is a guarantee of educational quality, without a doubt from my favorite publishers.
