The Chased Series Part V

A Navy SEAL with a Troubled Past. A Medical Researcher in danger.

And a Tortured Hero that might lead to a second chance...

Landon: Katie Watson is the best woman I've ever met in my life. She makes me want to change everything to be better for her, but I'm scared. I've never felt so much fear in my life. I don't know what to do.

Katie: I thought getting away from Colin and his creepy plans for me would be my hardest challenge, but watching Landon try to fight his demons is far worse. If he goes back to the military then I don't think I, or anyone else, will be able to help him with his PTSD, but I can't make him stay just for me... even if it's what I really want.

If you like second-chance romances spiced with steam, suspense and hot love scenes, then read The Chased Series by Kayla Kelly. A Navy SEAL, Marine, and an older alpha male hero -- Landon encounters his most complicated mission yet when a woman from his past challenges his plans for his future.

This is book 5 in the series and you really need to read the other books to understand what is happening now. Katie was rescued by Landon and his brothers but she ends up in the hospital. Katie and Landon enjoy an evening together but then he leaves because he doesn’t feel he is good enough for her. Landon’s family want him to get treatment for his PTSD but Landon decides to return to the military life that he is familiar with. Will Landon finally realized that he needs help or will he return to the military? Can Katie and Landon find happiness?

I enjoyed these stories but felt it was too drawn out in 5 books with cliffhangers. One longer book I feel would have been better to tell their story.
I was given an ARC by the author and I am voluntarily leaving this review.

I enjoyed this series immensely. This last book is a perfect ending to the storyline and wrapping everything up. The characters you really become invested in them. I was happy to see PTSD being explored here, instead of just a paragraph trying to describe it. The author wrote an excellent story, split into five parts, without it feeling like it was dragging, it rolls smoothly out, and at the end of each book, she had me hungry for more. I’m sad this series ended, but I’m sure Ms. Kelly will be bringing something just as good or better to the table soon. I look very forward to that. I received an ARC copy for an honest review..

I was very fortunate to have received a Arc Copy of this wonderful book by Kayla Kelly who has truly become one of my very favorite authors. This is book #5 in the chased series and worth every minute of sleep I lost . I literally could not stop reading from the very first chapter.. Landon and Katie have this amazing connection with each other , they have many obstacles to go though to be with each other , but the love and support they show one another is quite beautiful. I cannot wait to see what happens next . I highly recommend this book ❤️💜❤️💜❤️

Book 5 of Katie’s and Landon’s story, I am thoroughly enjoying this series, not only do we have romance, kidnappings but also makes you aware of the real life issues of ptsd that Landon is dealing with. He needs help which his family desperately want him to get, hope he listens before he does something he’ll regret. I enjoy Katie and Landon together. You really need to read the previous books so I highly recommend. I received this arc in exchange for an honest review.

"I was a little like a pressure cooker on the brink of exploding at any given minute"

Book five, the end of Katie and Landon's journey. I really liked this one. It was a good ending after all we went through in the series. I liked how the author diverged into PTSD and how it doesn't just effect one person but also those surrounding as well.

I received a free copy of this book for my honest review.

What a great ending to a very entertaining series. This segment of the series dealt mostly with Landon’s PTSD I think the subject was handled with great care. I really enjoyed Landon and Katie’s story and was glad they finally got their HEA. This is a very good series. This honest review is based on a complimentary pre-release copy from the author

Well done Kayla! The finale of this great series, all the loose ends tied, and a predictable HEA. I liked the sensitive handling of the PTSD and the strength of the family bond. This story segment seemed to lack some of the intensity and drama of the earlier segments.
I received this book as an arc and this review is entirely voluntary.

I really felt for Landon in this instalment. His PTSD is out of control. Kayla writes about it carefully and with respect. I don’t want to spoil any details but I was so happy that Katie and Landon eventually get their HEA.
