As the empire’s most ruthless female assassin, I’m used to killing without a second thought. But I’ve never infiltrated a raider horde before. Or seduced after a vicious Vandar warlord.

When I contrive to be captured by the raiders who terrorize the galaxy, my plan is to seduce Raas Bron before I assassinate him. That’s before I lay eyes on the huge, menacing Vandar with his long, dark hair and even longer tail. Despite his size and fierce reputation, the dominant warlord is no brainless beast. He’s a formidable foe who takes me to his bed and fires something within me that’s long been dormant. Soon, I don’t know if I’m seducing him, or if he’s seducing me. The longer I pursue the Raas, the harder it is to remember my mission.

Even as the alien warlord claims my body as his, I attempt to protect my heart and remind myself of my duty. Can I fulfill my promise to the empire, or will I lose myself in the passionate raider’s desire to possess me—body and soul? If I don’t kill the warlord who’s claimed me, I know I'll become the one pursued by the empire. And the empire does not show mercy to rogue assassins.

"Pursued" is a full-length sci fi romance novel with an HEA and no cheating. It features steamy scenes on a raider warship, alien horde space battles, and some serious heat.

If you like dominant and dangerous alien warriors, alien abduction to seduction, and hidden identity romance, you’ll love "Pursued", the fourth book in Tana Stone’s sci-fi romance series,
Raider Warlords of the Vandar. Each book can be read as a standalone.

I love sexy aliens and independent heroines. I grew up on Star Trek: Next Generation and Star Wars (and I adore them equally). My favorite superhero is Thor (with Aquaman a close second because, well, Jason Momoa), my favorite dessert is key lime pie (okay, fine, all pie), and I still lament the loss of Firefly.

I live in North Carolina in the US and have one husband, two teenagers, and two neurotic cats. I sometimes wish I could teleport to a holographic space station like the one in my tribute brides series (or maybe vacation at the oasis with the sand planet barbarians). :-) When I'm not writing, I love to paddleboard, dive, travel, and read obsessively!

"You are as much a casualty of the empire as my people. Just as their actions made us take to space and become raiders, the Zagrath forced you to be a killer. But neither of us need to let our enemy define us. Only we get to decide who we are."

4 stars!

This wasn't my favorite of the series so far, but it was still an enjoyable read. Alana got on my nerves after a while with her repeated missions of self-sacrifice. Even after each of them failed miserably, she still thought lying to Bron was the best course of action. Bron was a bit too much of a cinnamon roll and not the unapologetic alpha male I usually enjoy reading about. He was so unsure of himself and his decisions as Raas--constantly comparing himself to Raas Kratos--and I just wanted him to gain some confidence and adopt the ruthless attitude of the Raas before him. Nevertheless, there were some really sweet moments of acceptance and kinship between Bron and Alana, and I am excited to continue this series! ♡

Author: Tana Stone
Genre: Science Fiction Romance / Alien Romance
Narrators: Marcio Catalano and Addison Barnes

🦸🏻‍♂️ The Heroine: Alana

Alana is one of the most lethal assassins in the galaxy—fearless, cunning, and capable of slipping into impossible situations with a mix of seduction and precision. Known as Mantis in the underground, she’s a weapon shaped by the Zagrath from childhood, ripped from her parents and forged into something deadly. When we meet her, she’s stationed at a grim imperial outpost on Relarin, surrounded by Zagrath warriors and preparing for a mission that hinges on deception. The Zagrath load her ship with tracker‑laced cargo, intending to use her as bait to expose Vandar cloaked ships. Alana believes she’s serving the “right” side because she’s never been allowed to believe anything else. Her loyalty is survival, not conviction.

🦸🏼‍♀️ The Hero: Raas Bron

Bron is newly thrust into the role of Raas after Kratos steps down, and he’s still adjusting to the weight of leadership. He’s used to the disciplined life of an officer, not the sprawling Raas quarters with their silks and space. Despite leading a horde that helped destroy an imperial fleet, he feels untested and unworthy—an insecurity rooted in his orphaned past. That simmering frustration and sense of impending doom make him a compelling mix of strength and vulnerability. He wants to be the leader his horde deserves, even if he’s not convinced he’s earned it.

🔥 Plot Dynamics

When Bron’s horde encounters a battered imperial ship, they board it and discover Alana—bruised, shaken, and spinning a carefully crafted tale about escaping an imperial mine. The Vandar nearly leave her behind, but something in her story (or perhaps Bron’s instincts) convinces them to bring her aboard. They destroy her ship and the cargo—along with the Zagrath trackers—derailing her mission before it even begins. Alana panics at the thought of losing her only lifeline back to the Zagrath, but she steels herself. She’s survived worse, and she’s determined to complete her mission… even if it means betraying the very people who just saved her.

🌟 Strengths

• Alana is a fierce, layered heroine whose trauma‑forged resilience makes her compelling. Her backstory—stolen childhood, brutal training, and the pressure of being the Zagrath’s top assassin—adds depth to her hardened exterior.
• Bron’s intuition shines. His immediate suspicion of the cargo and his decision to destroy it without hesitation shows intelligence and leadership, grounding him as more than just a warrior.

💔 Limitations

• Alana’s unwavering hatred of the Vandar stretches believability. The Zagrath kidnapped her, weaponized her, and abused her, yet she clings to the belief that the Vandar are the true enemy—even after they rescue and treat her with respect. Her emotional logic doesn’t fully align with her lived experience, making her stubbornness feel more like a plot requirement than a natural character flaw.

🎙 Narration

The dual POV duet narration by Addison Barnes and Marcio Catalano is a standout feature of this series. The duet format adds immersion and emotional clarity, making the story feel more cinematic. Marcio Catalano delivers a smooth, versatile performance with distinct voices that bring the Vandar world to life. Addison Barnes’ slightly scratchy tone fits Alana perfectly—tough, guarded, and battle‑worn. Both narrators sound natural and expressive, elevating the tension and character dynamics.

💭 Final Thoughts & Opinion

This installment delivers a gripping mix of danger, deception, and slow‑burn tension between two characters shaped by trauma and duty. Alana’s internal conflict and Bron’s quiet turmoil create a compelling push‑pull dynamic, even when some of Alana’s motivations feel inconsistent. The world‑building remains strong, the action is engaging, and the narration enhances every emotional beat. While not flawless, it’s a satisfying entry in the Vandar universe—especially for listeners who love fierce heroines, conflicted heroes, and high‑stakes sci‑fi romance.

A mostly enjoyable sci-fi romance.

The world building was vivid. The plot was tight and exciting. There was plenty of action and danger, which I typically enjoy in a sci-fi romance. The characterization was less than amazing, however. The heroine was supposed to be one of the best assassins in the Zagrath empire, but when she got into fights, first with another assassin and again with a Zagrath soldier, she was unable to defeat either opponent herself and had to be saved by the hero in both cases. The heroine never saves the hero, and you never see her defeat or kill any bad guys in the whole novel. If she was a librarian or kindergarten teacher, her habit of being a damsel in distress would have made much more sense than it did in this novel, considering her profession.

Alana is a top assassin for the empire, known for being ruthless. She’s been hired by the Zagrath to infiltrate a raider horde and seduce a powerful Vandar warlord, Raas Bron, so she can kill him. However, once she meets the Raas, she realizes he’s not just a mindless thug—he’s intriguing and strong. As their flirtation intensifies, Alana starts to lose focus on her mission, blurring the lines between who’s seducing whom.

Don’t let this summary fool you; the story was anything but that. The main character, Alana, was the kind of heroine I simply can’t stand: self-absorbed, pretentious, and utterly uncharismatic. She constantly reminded us that she was a top assassin, a ruthless woman with no qualms about using her body to seduce and eliminate her targets, earning the nickname 'Mantis' in her field. She kept boasting about her previous missions, targets, and whatever else. Her attempts to feign helplessness and softness were so poor that it took Bron just a few hours after 'rescuing her' to see through her façade and uncover her true intentions. So much for being the best assassin ever. Her inner monologues were downright cringe-worthy and annoyingly self-indulgent.

“The imperial general had given me strict instructions. I was to pose as a female escapee from an imperial mining colony, and let my ship wander into Vandar space. Then I was to beg for assistance and be taken onto a Vandar horde. Since they were raiders, they would confiscate my cargo, which would allow the empire to track both it and me. When the Zagrath tracked down the horde, they would attack, and I would assassinate the warlord of the Vandar horde.”-Alana

As for Bron, he paled in comparison to the previous Raas in this series. He'd stepped into this role after Raas Kratos retired to be with his mate a few years back, and he simply didn’t have the presence needed to command the Horde. It was also hard to believe that Bron could be charmed by Alana in any way, especially considering how uncharismatic she was portrayed. Even after realizing she was there to kill him, he never really questioned her when she claimed to have changed her mind, insisting she no longer wanted to go through with it because he was a good guy.

“I might have won the battle, human.” He did not release me, but strode out of the battle ring and down the stairs. “But I have a feeling you have brought a war with you, and I intend to discover the truth of it.”

There was no chemistry between them whatsoever, and the dynamic was so bizarre. Everything goes so fast between, and although they don't fully trust each other, they are also incredibly devoted without earning it? They were supposed to be enemies. When I read the synopsis, I was expecting a game of seduction between two enemies, tension, passion, fascination and obsession but I saw none of that. It was a missed opportunity, and the characters were unlikable.

It's my least fav in the series.
I wasn't feeling Alana. I have no clue how she survived as deadly assassin all these years. Or she just become stupid after meeting Born.
She wanted to protect Born, but her way to protect him sucked. It caused him trauble or she was leaving him vulnerable and unable to defend himself.
And she wasn't acting like highly trained assassin. It's like this was her first mission.
She wasn't completely useless, but I'm pretty sure even from previous books h, which had no training could had achieved the same results in the battle.
But I'm looking forward for the next book. Punished. There's a little snippet at the end and it sounds promising. And I do love grumpy H.

So a Raas turned his back in his Battle Chief for doing his job!? Sorry, but very disappointed by this one. Bron should be removed as Raas for his lies and turned his back on his Horde/Corvak. I hope this is written into a future book! So much for honor of a Raas!

The previous books in the series were enjoyable enough, but this one fell way flat compare to them. Newly-elevated Bron made stupid decisions, showing a massive amount of inexperience at leading. Alana was supposed to be smart and cunning and deadly and she showed absolutely none of those traits. And then Corvak was done horribly wrong by Bron - I don’t care what Corvak says in the epilogue, he was right and he should have done just what he did. But also the plot holes! Corvak is a master interrogator, but Bron uses the bath water and gets all the knowledge that’s needed in one go? Why is Corvak not using these oils? If he wasn’t a sadist who enjoyed inflicting pain, it’s like the easiest thing to use to get someone to spill their secrets, no?

Bad form all around, Ms Stone.

I barely managed to finish this. I have been enjoying this series, but I think Tana Stone has lost me here. This book felt rushed and badly edited. There were multiple mistakes, even one of the character's names was different in different sections of the book. The plot just felt flawed and the main character, Alana was hopeless. I went into this wanting to read about a strong, capable woman, but at every turn she disappointed me. Pathetic. I wanted this to be hot and the dynamic between a strong lead female seducing the male lead was interesting in theory. In practice that's not what this book is.
Don't bother.

All of these books are pretty average. There’s nothing that grabs you. Very predictable and meh. The sex isn’t even that remarkable. Girl is a secret assassin who infiltrates boys horde. Boy and girl have the hots for each other. Boy learns the truth. Boy and girl bang. Girl feels guilty and wants to run to protect boy from the people who sent her. Bad guys show up. Boy and girl triumph. I just wanted more. I don’t think I’ll read anymore of the series.

This fascinating Sci-Fi romance is an excellent addition to the “Raider Warlords of Vandar” series & it definitely grabbed my attention within the first few pages & kept it all the way until the end. The plot is full of intrigue & well-written with good scene descriptions & world building. The characters are strong-willed individuals with opposing personalities that actually complement each other.
It is about: a female Imperial assassin (Alana) is ordered to assassinate a Vandar warlord (Rass Bron) after find out about the secret colonies but things don’t go exactly according to her plans when the attractions flare & turn to love.
There is: a despicable Zagrath Empire, assassins, Vandar warlords, true mates, challenges, action, adventure, intrigue, drama, twists & turns, suspense, secrets, devious plans, threats, danger, attempted escapes, longings, disagreements, disagreements, suspicions, protectiveness, determination, decisions, surprises, love, contentment, steamy scenes & a happy conclusion for this couple. There is a very interesting epilogue that is paving the way for the next book in the series.

"Raider Warlords of the Vandar" is a steamy sci-fi romance series, much like Tana's other series. The series follows the Vandar, a group of hot and sexy alpha aliens who travel across galaxies as raiders. However, they are not what everyone in the empire believes them to be. They actually fight for freedom against the empire, which takes what it wants. Along their journey, they encounter more than they could have hoped for. The series is full of action, war, and sexy themes as they traverse the skies. Tana's worlds and characters are well-written and believable. If you love sci-fi with sexy aliens and hot romance, you will enjoy Tana's work.

Why do these women insist on running into the hands of the enemy? Anyhow, I like these stories. The bedroom scenes are hot. The Vandar Raiders are hot. The stories vary enough to still carry the arc of the series forward. I'm going to read the next one right away.

Oof. Okay.

So I am 23% in and I don't like Alana. For lack of a better word she is slimy. Her fakeness really bothers me. She's just gross and smarmy. I know she has a job to do and so on... blah blah. But her character isn't likeable to me so far. I am guessing that will change at some point, but she really rubs me wrong and it makes me not want to read it.

When he finds her in his quarters she is just... nails on a chalkboard. Yuck. I want to slap her or something. She needs to learn the art of subtlety. She is supposed to be some great assassin? Some wonderful seductress? Yet her efforts are about as obvious and tactful as a horny 15 year old trying to seem sexy. *insert eye roll here*

Also, she says a lot of her plans out loud. She is sitting in a hallways and talking about killing Bron. Like, are you stupid? She is not some great assassin, she's an idiot, announcing her plans for anyone to hear. She is lucky they don't have a device to listen to her in her room, and the Vandar are stupid not to have one. If they did they would already know her plans. Idiots all around.

41% Yikes. So, not liking Bron lying to the Vandar and keeping such an important truth from them. How can he literally betray his own people for a woman he wants to fuck?

"Kratos never would have taken an assassin under his protection. Even if it was an alluring female in which he wanted to bury his cock. Would he?"

What a great reason to betray the Vandar. Pussy. Bravo.

100% I don't know how I feel about this one. I am disappointed. The best part was the pleasure planet, solely from description, not from what happened there. I don't like that one of Bron's own men gets thrown to the wolves (hypothetical) in order for him to keep Alana when the guy was freaking right. Just doesn't sit right with me.

As for Alana... she is the worst. She is supposed to be the empire's most badass assassin and as far as I can tell from her fighting, sexual prowess, and decision making in this book, my 2 year old is more stealthy. He is also smarter and better at making good decisions. she is so inept it's laughable when she is supposed to be so great.

It was okay. Not to the caliber of the others.

Yea while this was still enjoyable, it was my least favorite of the series like many others have commented. The reason why is i believe both the main characters had several elements of their character that weren't that enjoyable.

In terms of Bron, I felt he kinda failed as a Raas. He let his emotions for Alana risk his entire horde and put even himself in danger multiple times. He knew since the beginning she was kinda shady yet he let things go cause of his desire. I get this is a romance series but just didn't like how he wasn't making the smartest moves in this for his own desire even before he even fell for her. Also While Corvak was kinda unlikeable at this point, he was still a man of duty and it was messed up that he sided with an enemy whose a proven enemy instead of his battle chief. It did feel like Corvak deserved to be Raas more than Bron (especially after his book following this one).

As for Alana, I really didn't like her character even though she became decent by the end. I just couldn't ignore that we read this entire series about fighting the horrible empire then this is about the best assassin for the empire falling for a Raas lol.
So I just couldn't get behind her cause I felt her morals weren't really there till the end. She would do whatever to kill even sleep with enemies and I'm sure she killed a ton of innocent people, yet she gets a happy ending. And yea they made it seem like she killed mostly bad but we can't ignore that she killed a lot of good too being the empire's top assassin.
So yea most of the series was her trying to find a way to kill Bron while falling for him and while its good she did, it just felt weird for such a prolific villain to the Vandars to become the love interest of a Raas. But yea that's just me.
Still, this had some good moments and did keep me entertained with some suspenseful moments so I can't rate it badly but yea its my least favorite out of the whole series. And its ironic that Corvaks book, that's next, became my favorite lol.

Ah I'm so sad.
I loved this series with burning passion so far. It has fueled my daydreaming sessions for weeks upon weeks and yet this one didn't do it for me.
It felt rushed even for my tastes. Some things didn't make sense and felt pushed/forced.
Breaks my heart to give Raas Bron 2* since his story was the one I was waiting for.

Raiders Warlords of the Vandar is an alien romance series written by Tana Stone. The premises is around a galactic war with two sides: the Zagrath Imperial Empire and those who oppose it. The Empire is made mostly of humans. The Vandar Raiders are warriors that fight the Empire and all who associate, while aiding those who rebel against them. These aren’t noble warriors. The Vandars are ruthless raiders, taking and destroying. The Vandar species are muscular humanoids, with tannish-bronze skin, magical mating tattoos tails and huge cocks (of course).

Written in first person, Pursued is book 4 in this series, and follows Vandar raider Bron and the human Alana. Bron is a new Raas of his crew, which is basically the leader (aka Warlord), who used to be Kratos’s majak (from book 1). When Kratos’s mate got pregnant, he turned his hoard over to Bron to lead while he retired to a secret Vandar colony. Alana is a successful assassin who works for the Zagrath Empire. She was taken as a child and raised to be a killer, and she was very good at it. The Zagrath Empire tasked her with infiltrating the Vandar and killing its Raas. Things didn’t exactly go to her plan. She wound up falling for Bron and told him everything after he submerged her in a truth serum bath. Alana was named “Mantis” for her reputation of having sex with men before killing them. Armed with her secret, he agreed to take her as his mate to keep her safe because he was in love with her as well. She tried to run several times, forcing him to banish his majak in one instance, but she stayed to protect him and saved his life.

The two fell in love along the journey. Even though Bron could have taken Alana’s desired body without permission, he waited until she consented. She was eager to consent, considering her reputation, and he was smart enough to wait until it was real. Eventually, mating marks appeared on both their bodies, they rescued each other then the two lived happily ever after.

What initially made me love this particular series was that this wasn’t some alien species that protected all women and honorably waited for consent. No. They took what they wanted. Which made for some very spicy sex scenes in the first book. I wouldn’t exactly call them “romantic,” more like brutish and carnal, which is right up my alley. I liked the idea of less nobility and morals, and more savage dominance. Unfortunately, there has been less and less of that as books go on, which left extremely disappointed with this read. Hopefully the next book will redeem the series, but I doubt it. I will still continue to read because they are short well written love stories, but I just wish the author would return to the initial barbaric appeal.

Oh my, Sci-fi Readers, you have to get this book! Bron, the newly established Raas of one of the Vandar warriors’ hordes, is a wonderful character who falls in love with a Zagrath empire assassin named Alana. She has been sent to find out where the secret colonies of Vandar are located and to kill Bron. Newly appointed to his present leadership position, but with much experience as a majak (advisor), Bron continually doubts himself as an effective superior responsible for Vandar spaceships and men. However, he always makes the right decision in relation to his Vandar people except where Alana is concerned. He keeps her even knowing that if the others found out her secret, it might have negative consequences for him as a Vandar warrior/leader and her as an empire assassin. She continually tries to escape because she knows that staying with Bron puts him in danger from the empire. The Vandar, too, will be angry with Bron if they find out about her affiliation with the Zagrath. Alana is afraid that Bron might be considered a traitor by his own people. Bron doesn’t care about any of the threats against himself; he has sworn to protect Alana, and he has promised her his love as well. Filled with danger, excitement, and love, this story will keep booklovers enthralled as Bron makes the hard decisions for his horde and honors his promises to Alana. It will entertain as Alana learns to love and trust for the first time in her life. Nowhere else can a killer and a good guy make their HEA work except in the pages of a romance story.

Steamy and captivating

I loved Bron and Alana’s alien-human, enemies to lovers, with a side of attempted assassination. I love a book with a sexy alpha hero and I especially love a book that has an equally sexy alpha heroine. Bron is a Vandar warrior who was recently made Raas of his horde. Alana is a human woman who is an assassin for the Empire. She has been tasked with assassinating Raas Bron and destroying his horde. Bron is suspicious of Alana after she is “rescued” and soon learns she is an assassin but decides to claim her as his mate to save her. Thus begins Bron and Alana’s exciting, intense, and surprising journey to their HEA. Despite Alana being sorta of a prisoner and having no real choice about mating Bron, this is not a dubcon or noncon situation. They are well matched in their intensity, dangerousness, and power. Their relationship develops organically without forced intimacy. The story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline as told through fighting, dangerous situations, alien physiology and cultures, evil overlords, loyal friends, painful pasts, drama, snark, plot twists, and laughs. I will definitely be reading more of this series. Vandar warriors are clearly no match for human females.

If you are a sci-fi romance lover, then you need to read this series. It is one of my favorite guilty pleasures for sure. Every time I finish a book, I am anxious for the next one. I know, I know, poor Tana Stone, my stalking...err following is very real.

This one is Raas Bron’s book, and it has a female assassin, the top assassin for the Zagrath sent to kill my man, and yes she is a total badass just like Raas Bron. Ok, ok, not quite as badass as he is, but she can hold her own, he’s a Vandar Warlord...their kinda hard to top in this series. I won’t lie, Raas Bron is my favorite warlord so far...I may say that every time, but this time is legit. That is why I am calling dibs my reading peeps, he is mine. Ya’ll can have the other’s, see I am willing to share, you know be flexible. Because along with him being a ruthless badass, he also is thoughtful and appreciative of his mate. Yup….MINE.

This was a safe read, with two hot af badass mates. Great storyline, with a few what the moments, and I am already “patiently” waiting for the next book, because I always want more of this series, I just can’t get enough, it is totally a book crack series for me. An epilogue, that definitely makes me want more...nowish, and a hea.

Human Alana is the most ruthless assassin in the Zagrath empire and has been given the assignment to find Raas Bron and kill him. Her plan is to seduce him and then kill him. But when she is there she realises that he is not the mindless killer she expected and is actually quite intelligent. After being taken to his bed she can't tell if she is seducing him or he is seducing her. Certainly, it is becoming hard to remember her mission. Soon she is more concerned that he is going to possess her body and her soul. However, the empire does not view rogue assassins kindly and they will come after her. Who will come out of this situation alive?

I enjoyed this story with the push and pull between them and the clever way that Bron interrogated her and then kept her under control. I did find the argument and banishment of his staff member a bit of an overreaction but it does set up the next book in the series well. It was good to see Bron with a fierce woman and I think that matched him well. Easy to read and understand. Does contain explicit sexual content.

Score: 3.5/5

Synopsis:

Alana is a paid assassin paid by the Empire to infiltrate the Vandar horde to murder the Raas. But what was not part of her plan was faking in love with the Raas.

Characters:

I enjoyed Alana being the badass she was. My only problem was that it felt like the author didn’t do her justice and that she was capable of more.

I liked Bron. From all the Raas until now he is the one who felt the most human. His fears of not being good enough, of wanting to prove himself and protect his horde and his loved ones.

Overall Review:

I feel like the author did not do justice with Alana’s character. She is supposed to be one of the strongest assassins but made some rookie mistakes. She is supposed to be super strong but one random soldier who wasn’t as trained as her was able to beat her and leave her defenseless.

And also her trying to escape to protect Bron got repetitive after the first time it happened, definitely could of gotten a little more creative than that.

I love this series! The Vandar warriors are rough, tough alphas with a hint of sweetness and the heroines are kicka*s babes ready to fight with their mates to defeat the empire.

This is Raas Bron and Alana's story. Alana is one of the deadliest assassin's in the empire. Her mission is to kill Bron and lead the Zagrath to the horde so they can eliminate them. Bron has recently taken over the horde and is feeling the pressure to suceed. He has a bit of insecurity about being Raas as he is not family like the others. When they rescue her ship Alana pretends to be a helpless damsel in distress but her natural inclinations keep giving her away. Bron learns about her mission after putting her in one of the pools in his quarters but decides to keep and make her his mate. Alana doesn't think she deserves to be loved and keeps trying to escape to keep Bron safe. They eventually declare their love and become true mates.

I LOVED this book and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this AUTHOR!!! She is amazing and this is another wonderful sci-fi, alien romance that I highly suggest. I love this series and this is the fourth in the Vandar Warriors. It's Raas Bron and Alana's story. She's a deadly assassin sent to kill Bron and lead the Zagrath to the horde so they can eliminate them. Bron has only recently taken over the horde and become Raas. He's not feeling very confident in his role as Raas but he doesn't let it show. When he save a female in distress all is not what it seems. There's lots of action, drama, strong men and women with a hot alpha alien male that kept me on the edge of my seat needing to read faster to find out answers. It's a romantic, fun read and I have to say I Love the Vandar's and their tails...I want a Vander.

I received this as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Raas has a lot on his plate. He's just taken over the Horde and hasn't yet proved himself a capable leader. And now he's rescued another dratted female. But there is something off with this damsel in distress - when she should be overcome and fearful, she's suddenly forward and seductive!

Alana thought her cover as a damsel in distress - with the bruising to cement the idea - would lead her to her mark easily. It does but now she finds out that her mark isn't what he seems. She never wanted to be an assassin but the Empire didn't exactly give her a choice. If she fails her mission then the Mantis will be taken out by a fellow assassin!

The Zagarth really do go from slime to slime, just as you think they can't sink lower they outdo themselves! Loving the way Bron just took everything in his stride and just dealt with Alana's lies and revelations.

Roll on book 5!

Pursued is the fourth book in the fantastic Raider Warlords of the Vandar series by Tana Stone.
Raider Warlords of Vandar Series by Tana Stone is another fantastic sci-fi romance series – with an ‘abduction and seduction’ theme that runs through the collection.
With Alien Warlords, resistance fighters, space battles, action, adventure, captives, war, alpha males, tension, intrigue, emotion, drama, and danger- while the vivid world-building made this series all the more enjoyable.
Each book could be read as a standalone, but there is a ‘bigger picture’ being painted in the background, therefore, I really recommend reading the entire series (in sequence) so you don’t miss any of the important interconnected details, which will elevate you whole reading experience.
Looking forward to more from Ms. Stone…
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Tana Stone!

This is another fantastic story by Tana Stone that you won’t be able to put down until the very last page. Even then, you will still be begging for more. Alana, who is sent to rid the empire of Raas Bron isn’t prepared for the way he makes her feel. Raas Bron is now in charge of the Vandar horde after serving as the second to the previous Raas. He tries his best to resist the temptation of the human female, but he is drawn to her until the sexual tension becomes too much for him. He claims Alana has his own and he determines that together they will face the empire as a united front and he will protect his mate from the Zagrath. There is non-stop action from the beginning to the very end.

I received a free copy of this book and I involuntarily leaving my honest and fair review.
