However, he had other plans for her. Milani made up in her mind that she was done with love after being hurt by her ex. She was convinced that every dope boy had a side chick, leaving it up to a new love interest to prove her wrong. Could he? ************************************************************************************************************************** Every Dope Boy Got A Side Tristan and Makiah's Story Just because he was handsome, stayed dressed in the latest designs, had a deep sexy voice, and got an immense amount of likes on his Instagram page didn’t make him any different from any other hustla or dope boy. But let me tell it, it was his soft touch and the way he looked at me that really had me wishing he was mine. My feelings for him ran deep, and by the glint in his eye and the sexy smile that he wore when he was near me, I knew he felt the same way too. There was only one thing that stood in the way, and that was Tristan Carter a.k.a Blaze making me his main chick. Finding out that he was married didn’t sit well with me. I wanted to walk away and not give this man the time of day, but walking away wasn’t going to be possible. Our chemistry was strong, and the love was pure. However, who would Tristan choose was the question that had a chick like me shook.
Kevina great job. I was hot, angry, discouraged and happy with Cameron and serenity. Why is it men think it's okay to have a woman and a wife? Some men not all think it's good to have women at their beck and call. I do know a person only does to you what you allow. In Serenity case she should have been given a chance to make a choice. Serenity already had enough going on in her life without having more drama. Serenity's dad had other children from ano relationship that treated her just like they had the same mom and dad. Serenity's mom treated her very bad, her bonus mom wanted her to stay with her but as bad as it was with her bio mom she didn't want to leave her on her own in her self made mess. Serenity had a best friend named Max, and they tried to be together it just didn't work at the time. A tragic situation almost happened to Serenity and she was saved by Cam. They met and started a full blown relationship, Serenity was in school and she was a good student but dealing with her mother's mess had her and Cameron getting closer than it should've been. Serenity and Cameron had a baby and that's when she found out Cameron wasn't the man she thought. Once she found out his behind was married she only wanted to co parent . Serenity's first love KairsuPp had hurt her and she walked away from him but her heart didn't, they saw one another and they realized they still had feelings for each other and Kairo had ended his other relationship and Serenity had ended hers and Kairo loved her baby as his own and she loved his daughter as her own. The two of them worked out their problems loved one another and had a amazing life. Thank you for a great read
Kenyon and Malani's Story
Boy MS. Biggs, you had me thirty eight hot! you really gave some light on how some people that are supposed to be your best friend will have hidden jealous feelings about their friendship with you. Malani's felt her friend Versace had her back. Unfortunately for Malani, she would find out how wrong she was. Her man Woody who she thought was her man even though she knew he had a wife she played her position until she couldn't anymore. Woody was such a dog man he wanted his cake and icing too. Malani was a young girl that hadn't had many dealings with men, but because she was a student and didn't have much she stayed with Woody because he supported all her needs.. Although she knew he was married, she never saw his wife, when she did she realized he was a great big liar, she tried to walk away unbeknownst to her her friend Versace was relaying everything about her to Woody. True saying when someone shows you the first time who they are believe them. Malani meets a great guy and they start a friendship, Woody tries to get in between them and ends up hurting his self more than he could imagine. Malani cuts Versace and Woody out her life once she realizes their betrayal. In the meantime Malani and Kenyon are learning one another and Kenyon only wants what's best for her but because of her past hurt she's almost gonna lose out on a great love. Kenyon taught Malani what true, love and friendship is. Karma came to Versace and Woody. I loved their story. Thank you.
Tristan and Makiah's Story
I felt bad for Tristan and Makiah because they were young and didn't get the chance to be in each other's life, due to her parent's thinking he wasn't good enough for their daughter. That church hurt along with Tristan's knowing his secret he held he didn't try and pursue Makiah and went on to live his life never thinking they would never see one another again. Through Makiah's family needing help Makiah went to a family friend for help. He put them in touch with one another and when they met they realized they still had unresolved feelings for one another and they acted on their feelings. As much as I was rooting for Tristan to stay loyal to his situation, he didn't and they finally got to explore one another which one way was she got what she needed to help her parents, they had some dreams come true for each other and they felt love like never before. But as close as they were she never knew he could never belong to her because his behind was married and he didn't give her a chance to choose. I still think Tristan was my best one because when he got caught he didn't try to lay blame he took total responsibility, apologized to Makiah and respected her wishes to leave her alone. And he worked it out with his wife. Great job.
Cameron was playing with fire from the jump. He wanted his cake and eat it did. It worked for awhile but what he should have known was the truth would set him free. Granted, I don't think Serenity would have changed her mind about being him but it would have been alot easier not being blindsided. I could only imagine the hurt Hazel felt when she found out about the baby knowing that her first had died and it was hard conceiving. Their marriage didn't start on a solid foundation so of course it wouldn't have lasted. Even after the fact when all the skeletons came out and they decided to work things out, without trust there is nothing so divorce was inevitable. Serenity a good girl though so im definitely glad she got her happily ever after with Kairo.
Kenyon & Milani
Man I wish I could get a follow up story on Kenyon and Milani. I would really like to see how they would have played out. Woody was doing the absolute most. I just knew how Versace was being all secretive, she was sleeping with Woody. Who needs enemies with friends like her?! Envy is a serious thing. Versace claimed she had it all but at the end of the day had nothing. She willingly screwed her only friend over to get on top. As for Kenyon, when you know you know. He was good to and for Milani. Zeus didn't come to play about his family. Woody and Versace had to learn the hard way. Even though I was saddened that she was killed, I quickly sucked it up to her karma coming full circle.
Tristan & Makiah
Man oh man! Mama aways said when ya play with fire, ya get burned. Cortez was a real fool thinking he could play with India's emotions. He really thought she would be his side chick. She was a boss bihh. Idk why she even continued to deal with him after learning the truth. Na she did all that and still don't have him. I knew if Tristan ever came in contact with Makiah again, things would cross lines. Makiah was too caught up because from he told her his relationship was complicated, she should have figured that out. I would never understand why the spouse does go after the lover. 9 out of 10 times, they don't even have a clue. I really enjoyed each story.
Lawd Cam was all types of trifling and Hazel worked my nerves after finding out everything. Serenity had her head on straight and really thought her relationship wit Cam was legit. Tiffany was a whole slut bucket and I'm glad Serenity realized she wasn't truly a friend. I liked Kairo but Lynn was another story. All that accusing and it was her doing wrong. Kairo and Serenity finally got back on track and deserved the happiness they brought to each others lives. I was even proud of Stella getting herself together and building the relationship she should've had with Serenity all along. Woody was a piece of work. I wasn't even shocked about Versace because I could tell by how secretive she was. Milani really was clueless to how she had been getting played but meeting Kenyon changed things. Woody and Versace destroyed any chances of having anything more with Milani. Kenyon was a whole mood and his willingness to go above and beyond for Milani caused me to like him even more. Zeus didn't play and shut Woody's trifling mouth in the end since he was so worried about what didn't concern him. In the beginning I thought Tristan was a very good dude but after the way the handled running into Makiah again that changed quickly. He clearly didn't handle grief well and only thought of himself. I was surprised at Brianna willing to make things work so easily. As for Makiah, she couldn't catch a break. Her parents were so busy trying to dictate her life and chose the wrong person for her. I didn't feel bad for India because she should've just taken he loss instead of messing up Cortez's day. Yes he was wrong but she still continued to deal with him after finding out the truth. In some cases every dope boy does have a side chick but soon has to learn they'll lose much more versus if they remained faithful to their so called main.
All three ladies did an excellent job on each book I did like Mz. Biggs book the best. I loved how Kenyon showed up and showed the f out about Milani. I loved Orlando character to at how he went in on Versace ran threw butt even in this girl last day if you ask me she tried to steal Milani shine. I'm actually shocked at Woody character dude actually tried to own up to his wrong doings.
My next favorite was Shanice B. Would actually like to see more from these characters it doesn't feel as if I got closer from any of them. At first I was feeling Tristan charai that changed with the way he did Makiah . Their characters actually fit better than Tristan and Brianna at least to me it felt that way.
Last but not least Kevina Hopkins. While reading this book I got this feeling of Deja Vu. Its like I've read this before or a book that's worded similar to it. Don't get me wrong the book was still good I would have to give this book four stars tho everything seem to drag for me. I loved Kauro character for Serenity. I just couldn't vibe with this character tho. Like come on you can't be this naive and gullible over a dudes words the way this girl was gone for Cameron.
Overall this was 3 good stories about dope boys and their side chicks. I had to give it 4 stars because there were some grammar errors in the last story. They all did a good job but story 2 with Kenyon & Milani really had me going through emotions. I can not believe the way Woody was treating Versace, eventhough she was the worst friend ever. I truly felt sorry for Milani and was upset that Versace took the coward way out...& still ruined the day for Milani! To me these dope boys took the easy way or went with what they felt like they were suppose to do instead of bossing up and being with who they wanted. I also was rooting for Tristian at the very beginning and couldnt believe the things he did. He seemed like such a good guy. India was definitely blinded by love because she was not thinking logically with her plan. And Brittany was the wrong person to have along for help because she was acting just like the guys! These stories will definitely have you talking to the characters after some of their actions...smh. I recommend this as a good read that will keep you engaged, ready to see how everything turns out.
Serenity and Cameron- I loved it. The title is misleading but that’s a good thing. I expected them to have ups downs maybe a you ain’t mine but you mine kind of conflict well by golly she does the total opposite. The book shows that no matter what if y’all meant to be y’all will be . I want to smack her mom in the beginning but I’m glad all worked out. You can feel the love in the book. Great job
Kenyon and Milani- OMG that sex scene was so good. I need a Kenyon, lord. So many ppl I wanted to smack, sheesh. Wood,Sace and Lani for a moment. You can tell the author put thought into the growth of Wood. The apology at the meeting meant something. I felt bad for Sace. I’m glad Lani got it together and loved on bae I mean Kenyon. Great job.
Tristan and Makiyah- Well I don’t know what to say. The cheating in this book was wow. I thought she was gonna cheat him and makiah was gonna have fairytale ending but nooo, Tristian dumb old self had to be the cheater. I wanted fight India. Yes Cortez was dead wrong but you should have left him alone but I’m a woman so I know love makes you so crazy things. I truly enjoyed this book. Great job
All 3 of these books were packed with nothing but DRAMA.
STORY 1: Serenity & Cam met in an unconventional way. I didn't feel the meeting at the park was realistic especially her leaving her girl and she being dragged off in a park full of people. Serenity put herself through unnecessary stress with her mom in the beginning. For some reason I liked Cam and knew he was going to make things right, but she ended up with who she needed. The use of "yawl" drove me crazy. "Y'all" should have been used instead.
Story 2: This story was ok. I hate Woody and Versace from the start of the story. I don't understand why the good friend is always so blind. I could tell immediately shi Versace was with. Again not really realistic to me.
Story 3: I felt like this story had too much going on. It felt all over the. It had entirely too much going on. India knew that man was gone hate her after her stunt.
Overall, the stories were ok. They felt rushed and unrealistic to me.
Serenity did the right thing. Shoot the ✌🏾 and keep it moving. Hazel a dumb bish. Ninja pretty much told you that he's not happy and don't wanna be there. Yet you trying to please yo parents and the church. Man 🖕🏾yo parents and them church folks. Cause I bet you half of them ain't living right. They ain't the ones in that relationship. You trying to force Cam to be there. Yeah that ain't gonna last.
Versace Versace Versace. I just knew something wasn't right with her. Milani sis your best friend yet she's never seen yo dude? Yeah something ain't right in that picture. All you did yet you wanna play the victim. Girl 🖕🏾U!!!
I wonder if India feels like big shit. Little shit. Or just a piece of shit. You did all that and yet you still lost the guy. You got to feel real shitty now. As for Tristian he doesn't know what he wants. Maybe he just needs to be alone.
Cam shouldn't have left Serenity in the dark about Hazel. Hazel was doing too much. I'm glad Serenity got out of that situation and got with Kairo. I'm glad Cam left Hazel alone because she wasn't going to ever trust him not accept his son. Woody and Versace was wrong for betraying Milani. They lucky she didn't do anything worse than what she did. I'm glad Milani found someone like Kenyon. They are great together. Cortez was wrong for stringing India along knowing he didn't want her. Tristian shouldn't have got involved with Makiah knowing he was married. Is it really over for Cortez and India? Will Tristian and Brianna work on their marriage? Or will Tristian find his way back to Makiah? I think this book need a second part. I really enjoyed reading this boxset.
They say Every Dope Boy Got A Side Chick and these niccas sure did. Hazel's azz was crazy but what do you expect when you've lost trust in your husband. I don't agree with how she didn't want him around his son. Regardless when she wanted them to remain married she should have accept it Cam's son as well. Cam doesn't get a pass but I feel that he really did love Serenity, but I guess not enough to be honest with her. I'm glad Serenity and Kairo had each other to lean on because they both went through heartache with their ex. Woody needs his azz beat and Versace needs to be waiting right behind him to get hers beat next. Then have the nerve to go play in traffic. I love Kenyon. From the beginning he let Milani know where his loyalty lied and they didn't even know each other that good. But he was always there to have her back. ❤❤
This was three really good novella and I enjoyed them. Surrounding three dope boys and their side chicks. Serenity was so naive and Cam took advantage of that fact, for his own selfish reasons. Was so glad of Serenity and her ending. Then came Kenyon and Milani, along with trifling Woody and Versace. So loved how Kenyon showed Milani her worth and treated her like the queen she was. Lastly, we have Tristan and Makiyah they started off with a lie that eventually ran its course and backfired. Right along with India and Cortez, she was the side chick for years and got fed up and reacted. Leaving them both broken hearted. These were three different stories, but the were very in sync with each other. Good job Kevina Hopkins, Mz. Biggs and Shanice B.
Good read all three books where good I felt bad for the side chick that was messing around with married men they should have known that karma was going to get the one day I felt bad for milan & how she got played by not only the man( woody) she thought she loved but also because her bestfriend betrayed her I'm glad she found better in Kenyon he bossed up & proved his love I'm glad they got together I felt bad for Tristan was cool with me until he did makiah wrong and got with Brianna I felt bad for serenity & was through with max but glad her & kairo got back together & she finished school
In book 1 I think Cam & Serenity made a good couple but he should’ve been honest with her about his relationship status. It was a good read I wasn’t disappointed at all.
In book 2 Milani dealt with betrayal and she found someone that truly cared for her and was all about her and wouldn’t let no one harm her. I wanted to feel bad for Versace but she didn’t deserve Milani forgiveness because she didn’t know if she would hurt her again.
In book 3 in the beginning I felt bad for Tristan because Makiah mom judged him and she didn’t even know him. I think when Tristan met back up with Makiah he should’ve been honest with her about his relationship status.
In Serenity and Cameron’s Story, I was disappointed in Serenity’s mother and how she treated her in the beginning. I’m glad she got her life together. I was happy Serenity and Kairo finally got together.
In Kenyon and Milani’s Story, Wow.... Poor Milano dealt with a lot of heartache but bounced back like a champ. Versace needed help bad but took the cowardly way out instead of dealing with herself. Woody finally realized he was wrong!!!!
In Tristian and Makiah’s Story, I was disappointed Makiah didn’t get the man she deserved but he finally became the man he should have been.
Great job Ladies, I hope there will be sequels to these stories!
Cam was definitely wrong for not telling Serenity that he was married...Hazel was never going to accept Lil Cam or the relationship between Ren and Cam because he hurt ran to deep...I'm glad Ren gave Kairo another chance
Woody and Versace was definitely grimey and toxic for Milani...I'm glad Milani gave Kenyon a chance and he was able to show her real love
India was doing entirely too much..she should have left Cortez alone and found her own happiness...Tristan was just extremely selfish for how he treated both women...
Tree great stories all filled with drama. All three on the same subject with different outcomes. Each author does a great job bringing together a great group of well developed characters that are both interesting and likeable. The first with young naive females that has so much to learn. The second with disloyalty from a so called best friend. The last with unchecked mental issues. All have one thing in command a man that wants his came and to eat it to. Great job ladies.
Serenity and Cam should've been honest from the beginning but of course he that he can keep living a double life but it blew up in his face. Serenity brothers and sisters accepted her with open arms even through she distanced herself from them. Kenyon and Milan Woody was so wrong so many levels he wanted his came and eat too by sleeping with Versace with her jealous a@@. I'm glad that Milan saw it for what it was and found love with Kenyon. Tristan and Makiah they were young and didn't get the chance to be in each other's lives due to her parents judging him right off back and goes to show people don't know what goes on!
All the stories are good but the last story is unfinished . The last story is incomplete. Really started to get good. All the characters drama need to have an ending. Did Tristan really stay with his wife, is Malhkia really done with Tristan. Did Cortez and Tiny stay together did she go into early labor, did India turn into a psycho. Like I said there needs to be a better ending to the last story.
These box set was fiyah both of them. These side chicks went through he'll with these dudes. Both were well written . All the we there was drama sex lies deceit new book babes for me lol. Its to much to talk about but you have to read it to see what I'm talking about.
Being a side chick ain’t for everyone. When feelings get involved the fun ain’t fun no more. It’s more of an ego than anything else. Being with a dope boy is already stressful...
The book was a great read!! The three stories are so in sync that it could've been a standalone. I always been a fan of the 3 authors and I would love to see them come together again to write another.
This was an okay read. Nothing spectacular about either of the stories. I will say I definitely expected more from Kevina Hopkins. She usually have good stories. I'm glad it was a cheap collection.
This book is a different kind it’s several short stories. But a couple were really good once I got into the first one it ended and started another one. Didn’t know this was how this book was
These books was definitely a great read, and a true story I really do believe almost every woman has played the side chick position and probably didn’t even know it sad but true I loved these books definitely great reads!!!
Let's start buy saying wow. I just got 3 great stories for the price of one. Every story painted a different picture of the side chick and that was dope. Great read.
