This started off interesting and continued to be interesting until about halfway through. My biggest issue was how one-dymentional the guys were. The author only managed to flesh out one: Ragner. The rest are one big blur. Which is unfortunate because there is enough of a story to keep me interested in everything.
The big mystery surrounding the heroine and her sisters was pretty cool too. It's disappointing that there were no answers to any of my questions to be had in this first book. I think I'm hooked enough to give the next book a try. Overall, it passed the time just fine and was an okay filler book between. major book release dates ♡

Narah (FMC) and her sisters - Kaira & Jae have been brought up in a world where Omegas are given no respect. Theyre either used as mates for sex & breeding or used by the pack. On the day of her being mated to her fated mate things dont go to plan when she is rejected by him. Being cursed, Half wolf and half witch being a factor. Leaving her and her sisters in danger and having to run away. All which lead Narah getting involved with 4 hot Viking Alpha Wolves - Ragnar, Nikos, Crius and Stone helping them on their quest. The dynamic and the relationship between Narah and the guys is a compelling one. A love/hate one at the beginning that keeps changing throughout the book. Great plot twists and a killer cliffhanger ending. A brilliant start to this series and i loved reading it

This book kinda reads like a rough draft and gets a little repetitive at times. The world is interesting, however, and Ragnar can definitely get it.

OMG this book is amazing in true Mila style!!! We meet Narah as she is getting ready to mate with her fated mate as part of a ceremony as a way to keep her sisters safe. She can't go through with it though when he is awful but she accidentally reveals her magic so he pretty much throws her away. Her sisters escaped first though so now she is trying to find them. She teams up with the Alpha of Savage Sector and his men in an arrangement that helps them both. This throws them together for quite some time where the fireworks fly like crazy. I especially love how this is the missing sister of Jae who we met briefly in the Shadowland Sector. A must read for fans of post-apocalyptic paranormal zombie RH. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Great story
I really like this first book in Savage Book series. Narah’s story was compelling. I loved how it dovetailed into the other Shadowland stories. I had to check who Jae was and was delighted to see her again. Slow burn and good book. Can’t wait to read the next one.

This story is set in Europe and has a dystopian feel to it. Narah is preparing for her mating ritual to save her and her sisters from any sort of pain that might come their way as Omegas. The problem is that she is hiding a huge secret and has to continue hiding it or sacrifice her life. What happens though when the threat is more prominent in front of you rather than the problem at your back?
The story takes you on a very interesting ride; At one point Narah and her sisters are separated. Narah will do anything to get them back together and so she enlists the help of Ragnar and his pack to help her. She tries to meet their demands to help them establish a new pack in the depths of Romania and in return they will find her sisters.
There is a lot of world development in this book and you very quickly get a feel for how this world works- it's not fair to women and especially witches. It definitely has a dystopian feel to it so the world is a gloomy place to be which makes the danger more realistic. The character developments and interactions are very well built up and executed. You do learn a bit about the pack members' individual backgrounds and how they got to this point but there is a lot of restraint. I feel that as the series progresses we will get a little more.
It is a slow burn book, most of the action doesn't start till nearer the end, but it is a fantastic build-up and happens quite naturally given the circumstances. I do look forward to seeing what happens next and I would recommend this book. It was easy to get into and kept you interested and wanting more at the end.

Good enough to finish, but in the end nothing spectacular. I'm still unclear as to the specifics of the setting - is this set in our current world, but with magic and shifters? Or is this set in a medieval-like time with magic and shifters? There is no technology to speak of, but people were wearing jeans. Confusing. I have not read any other books by this authors, so this question may be answered in her other series. I understood the premise, but I didn't connect with any of the characters nor their motivations. For me, there was too much "story" and not enough "relationship". I've been burned by similar books in the past, so I'm not going to continue the series.

Yessss!!! OMG, ok so I was super excited to hear about this new series. This is a spin-off of the Shadowlands Sector series. There's everything from rejected mates, hot alphas, and badass witch wolf hybrid and the occasional zombie. I truly love apocalyptic worlds but Mila did a fantastic job combining PNR/RH into it. Definitely can't wait until the next one!

Hmm… this has 4 alphas and one omega. I’ve read other rh books and this one is just slow in the character development of the guys. The only one I’m
Interested in is Ragner. The world building with the magic is good. There’s potential but I found myself skimming… never a good sign. Ends on a cliffhanger, not sure. Care enough to read on as I have a bazillion books on my tbr.

Savage Sector One is the first book in Mila Young’s new series that follows the same world as the Shadowlands Sector series. This author introduces readers to a new array of characters who each have their own agendas, but find themselves in a dangerous situation with an insane cliffhanger that will leave you not only on the edge of your seat, but will have you howling for the next book.
Savage Sector One introduces Narah and her two sisters first. The author quickly pulls me onto the edge of my seat with Narah’s predicament. She’s found her fated mate, but she’s also a Cursed. She must hide her magic, but things go bad...quickly. Fast forward to two months after her rejection by her fated, and she’s alone searching for her sisters. One is found, but Narah has a disturbing vision about the second sister right before being reunited with her youngest sister. The group of Alphas who found her have worked out an agreement that Narah help them find the witches secluded inside the Savage Sector. She has no idea what their true intentions and agenda are, but a deal’s a deal, and she intends to find her missing sister.
This story pulled me in from the beginning and for the most part kept me page-turning to the very end. The storyline is engaging and well written. Narah is an interesting character and she’s struggling with not just the two sides of herself, but with her wolf’s desire to be with the individual who rejected her. The four Alphas that she finds herself with each have their own unique stories and I eagerly devoured the tid bits that the author drops here and there.
Overall, the story line flows really well, but there are moments where it got a bit bogged down. Narah at times spins in mental circles about her wolf’s desire to be with her “fated” and her desire to find her missing sister. At times, I wonder if she really thinks through some of the choices that she makes. This book acts lie a slow burn in certain situations with Narah and the four Alphas. It becomes a question of...who will be the first to fully cross that line with Narah? I don’t mind a slow burn novel, but there were a couple of times where it felt like it was being dragged out a little too much.
I’m choosing to rate this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. The end of this book had me on the edge of my seat and sent chills down my spin. The author wrote a great “ending” and has me eagerly anticipating the next book in this series. Things are about to get wild and I’m here for it. I have mixed feelings about a couple of the characters, but the story line overall is really good. If you are a fan of this author and/or enjoyed the Shadowland Sector series then I encourage you to pick up this book!

How can you leave me hanging like that?
I read Shadowlands Sector series which Savage Sector is an offshoot of. These books are a dystopian fantasy paranormal reverse harem romance series. Guess that describes them.
You meet a few of the characters in this book briefly in the previous series. Gotta say, Viking wolf shifters...sign me up.
I really love this book. Great start. Character development is on point, action, adventure, slow burn attraction, this book has it all.
And it has a giant cliffhanger. I felt the same way at the end of this book as I did after sitting through the 1st Lord of the Rings movie only to watch Frodo and Sam to Crest the hill and prepare to head for Mordor and then...fade to black. My response: WHAT THE CRAP? WHY DID YOU STOP? KEEP GOING!!!! I NEED THE REST NOW!!! Yeah yeah yeah, nerd banner flying high. August please hurry. I need the next book.

This is just great! A dystopian world with hot Viking alphas and a half breed omega ( half wolf half witch) in a reverse harem storyline full of action, mystery, magic and intrigue. Secrets are found out, rejection is painful and felt, our female mc is strong and has one hell of a journey to take and I can’t wait to read more.

2⭐️ I’m very tempted to just set this series aside…
This was so disjointed. Nobody’s actions make any sense. We’re just expected to accept Narah and the alpha’s actions and I’m so confused as to why. Is there a pre-series I’m unaware of to have all of this be clearer? I’ll see where my feelings are after reading the second book and I’ll make a decision….
Also, what world is this? No idea if this is post apocalyptic, medieval, Stone Age? The writing does not make this clear and the more I write my review the more I’m getting frustrated and convincing myself to just stop with this series….

This was okay, but I don't feel like I really got to know all four of the guys, and I didn't really feel a connection between Narah and any of them. Hopefully that will change in book 2.

The author did a good job adding personalization to the characters of the classic "Rejected mate" trope. Spicy and the end and ends on a good cliffhanger.

Review: I enjoyed reading Lost Wolf and look forward to the next book in the series. Yes, this is a slow burn, rejected mate, paranormal romance but it's book one of 3 so there's lots of hope twists, turns, sex, and betrayal in the next 2 books. This book centers around Narah who has been rejected and nearly killed by her Fated Mate. She is hired by 5 Viking wolf shifters to use her unique abilities to get through the Poisoned Forest crawling with magical booby traps. All the while her stupid wolf is still pining for the jerk who tried to kill her. All of which illustrates ladies, that sometimes your inner animalistic compass is just plain stupid.

Lost Wolf, the first book in the Savage Sector series by Mila Young, was a new take on the traditional Alpha/Omega storyline and I’m not going to lie…it’s definitely intriguing! While omegas aren’t treated the greatest in this series, and definitely aren’t always treated as the treasures they typically are in most A/O stories, Young did an amazing job at creating a dystopian type magical world that pulls you right in.
Our FMC Narah walks a thin line as one of the Cursed, a hybrid wolf shifter/witch, as both factions are pretty much at odds with the other, and was pretty much hidden away in her pack with her two younger sisters—until her fated mate rejects her after a magical incident occurs and her secret is revealed.
While on the run from their pack, the sisters get split up so now Narah is on the hunt to find them, which inadvertently puts her directly in the path of Ragnar and his men, Crius, Nikos and Stone. In need of a witch themselves to help them on their own quest, the four alphas team up with Narah with promises of helping her find her sisters after she helps them. What ensues next is a dangerous adventure through spell protected woods, a few magical battles and tons of super hot and steamy angst filled scenes as they all try to work together for the common good of the mission. The question is, when they reach the end of their journey, what will they find?!?
While this story is more on the slow burn side, there’s still tons of sexy simmering heat that will keep you warm at night. Because seriously… nothing is hotter than manly Viking wolf shifters. 😉 it also has plenty of plot twists, tons of action and plenty of characters to fall in love with. There are definitely plenty of unanswered questions and mysteries involved in this story and I can’t wait to uncover all those secrets as the series progresses!

Lost Wolf is the first book in the Savage series by Mila Young. This past year I've just started reading Mila's work and loving it, I've been eyeing Shadowlands and the Savage series for a minute but the zombies kinda put me off. I finally caved and I was surprised. Lost Wolf didn't focus on the zombies as much as I thought and the plot was a complete surprise that I enjoyed.
Narah is the oldest of the siblings who are all omegas and is the sole caretaker of her younger sisters in a world with brutal men. Narah started out naive but after a series of events, she's learned real quick how savage the world can be. Narah gets some spunk but manages to keep all her positive traits, like her heart. Which is why she's so conflicted over her relationship.
A Deal is made and Narah finds herself traveling with four very different alphas. Ragnar is the harsh leader, Stone is his second hand, Crius, and Nikos. All of them are powerful wolf shifters and not the best of men but compared to the other men in the series, they're not that bad. Yes, they each have a darkness in their past but maybe they can grow. Each of them has these flip-flop moments of being nice to Narah and being a jerk. However, as the story goes on a connection is developed between Narah and all the guys (who are falling fast), things between her and them get better but I'm still on the fence.
What a surprise this plot was. Zombies roaming either a dystopian world or historical, I can't tell and the story takes place in Romania and there is mention of Denmark because this book has Viking wolves. The main plot of this book is a quest through a dark and dangerous forest, and things happen. There the wild magic, fearsome witches, and hated hybrids. Narah is a hybrid but there is more to her and I can't wait to uncover more about her.
Savage has only just begun, Lost Wolf is the beginning of Narah's story. The story ended on a moment so shocking I can't even wrap my mind around it. I have no clue what's going but I wanna find out. I'll be picking up the next book real soon.
Narah is the oldest of the siblings who are all omegas and is the sole caretaker of her younger sisters in a world with brutal men. Narah started out naive but after a series of events, she's learned real quick how savage the world can be. Narah gets some spunk but manages to keep all her positive traits, like her heart. Which is why she's so conflicted over her relationship.
A Deal is made and Narah finds herself traveling with four very different alphas. Ragnar is the harsh leader, Stone is his second hand, Crius, and Nikos. All of them are powerful wolf shifters and not the best of men but compared to the other men in the series, they're not that bad. Yes, they each have a darkness in their past but maybe they can grow. Each of them has these flip-flop moments of being nice to Narah and being a jerk. However, as the story goes on a connection is developed between Narah and all the guys (who are falling fast), things between her and them get better but I'm still on the fence.
What a surprise this plot was. Zombies roaming either a dystopian world or historical, I can't tell and the story takes place in Romania and there is mention of Denmark because this book has Viking wolves. The main plot of this book is a quest through a dark and dangerous forest, and things happen. There the wild magic, fearsome witches, and hated hybrids. Narah is a hybrid but there is more to her and I can't wait to uncover more about her.

Well, not sure how this book ended up on my tbr list but it did. Fated mates, werewolves, witches and zombies. Not a big fan of zombie lit but here we are. Basically you have 7 main characters, 3 sisters and 4 "Viking" alpha's. This series takes a different stance on packs and dynamics and I felt it was a little 2 dimensional. Typically you have one alpha or an alpha pair (mates), beta(s) Omega(s) and then pack mates. Not so much in this series. Seems you're an alpha or an omega. We learn very little about the witches in this book and the zombies? They are just zombies, however there does seem to be a twist with them and the wolves. You have a rejected mates, a bunch of baggage by everyone, bonds built on half truths, one sister whose entire self seems to revolve around the other 2 sisters, who apparently don't feel the same way, at all and 4 guys who....how to describe them, one is blinded by his sole focus of getting his sister back (at seemingly any cost), one who seems to be looking for the right time to split, one who has zero regard for his own safety (as long as he is a hero) and another who needs a lot of work on his self esteem. See? Baggage! This book ends on a cliffhanger and honestly, I have zero desire to finish the series. Will I start the next book? Yes. Why you may ask? Because I have just finished cramming my head with a bunch of non-fic stuff for a test and need some mind numbing, not overly intense, fiction to bask in while my poor brain recovers and finding another series or book sounds like too much work at the moment. Before I forget, there is spice. Not a lot, a few kisses here, a moment there, a cherry getting popped and that's about it. So like a 2/5?

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "SAVAGE SECTOR" Mila Young you did a Fabulous, its job writing this very addicting paranormal romance full of intense drama, action, magic, mystery, intrigue, angst, mistrust, emotional turmoil, hot steamy scenes, twist you didn't see coming.
Narah is a half breed OMEGA her two sisters Kaira & Jae are all the family she has left she protects them at all costs her parents are dead she in the Storm Wolves pack about to be mated with her soulmate Martell.
Narah's mother never helped her with her magic it had to be kept hidden because the pack called them Cursed & it meant death her magic erupted at the mating & Martell rejected her.
Narah & her sisters had to run or die at the hands of the Storm Wolves pack they got seperate Narah was caught Martell threw her off a cliff her magic saved her now she had to find her sisters.
Viking Alpha Ragnar & his pack Stone, Crius & Nikos agree with a pact with Narah to find her sisters in turn she would help them get through the Poisonous Wood to the Coven hidden in there she can detect magic & traps.
The journey Narah, Ragan, Stone, Crius & Nikos take through the Poisonous Wood doesn't go smoothly so much happens along the way she becomes attracted to all the Alphas especially Ragan her wolf still fights her about
Martell her mate that tried to kill her.
Ragnar tells Narah he can fix her Wolf's obsession over Martell by him claiming her but he also a readon behind doing this he & his pack are so secretative, mysterious but she goes along with it not knowing what it really means.

I am invested enough to keep reading the series but it is really choppy and the guys are currently walking red flags. I can definitely see that there may be some improvement in their character development but it isn't very strong right now. Narah (FMC) is hunting to find her sister's after her fated mate attempted to kill her by pushing her off of a cliff after finding out she is a Cursed (half wolf and half witch). Ragnar, Stone, Crius, and Nikos are a pack who are aiming to claim over the lands, particularly in this bewitched forest. I am reading the complete set of all four books on Kindle so I couldn't tell where I was percentage-wise but it definitely felt like mini scenarios within each chapter. I don't think that this was helped at all by the multiple POVs.
I think that it was smart not to force an immediate mating or just sex in general with all four men. By the end of book one, Narah has kissed Nikos and had sex with Ragnar. I will say that it was a turn-off for me that Ragnar was only half-truthful to helping Narah from pining over her fated mate. Stone and Crius get the least amount of read time but with the way that book two is set up seems to be fine. I think that this first book definitely falls into the bad omegaverse books where the guys just take what they want from the omega. I am not the biggest fan of that since it doesn't feel like there is any consent. This first book is definitely lust driven right now because I don't feel attached to anyone and I don't feel like they actually let Narah breathe.
The positives are that it is an interesting concept within the omegaverse world to include witches and more magic but it isn't quite clear the absolute history of everything.
Giving the next book in the series a chance in hopes that it gets better.

It’s a reverse harem, rejected mates, enemies to lovers book, with slight overtones of omega verse themes… that means the heroine is rather badly treated at times.
It’s a 3/5 on the spice level, some sex scenes.
This is an entertaining book, though I’m not a huge fan of the rejected fated mates trope, I have enjoyed other books by the author and decided to give this a whirl.
It rated probably 3 1/2 stars for me- it’s well written, and the story is interesting BUT the main characters are rather hard to like.
Narah is very naïve (she’s very young so that makes sense), but she has a nasty tendency to trust where no trust is earned, and distrust when it isn’t warranted!
The alpha pack also have huge flaws, and it’s hard to like these brutal, bossy males, when they seem to hide things and act inconsistently.
Ultimately the story kept me reading simply because I was curious what is going on, and what is happening to Narah.
This is a good read for urban fantasy lovers who enjoy the RH and alpha-omega tropes, and a darker theme in the world building.

Kind of a unique spin on the witch-wolf relationship, a RH story with dystopian setup, omegaverse elements, and rejected mate trope. All set into European area with Viking men at the forefront.
When Narah, a Cursed (half-breed) young woman cannot control the magic she is hiding on the night of her mating, she is rejected by her fated mate and almost killed. Trying to protect all that's left of her family - her two sisters - she runs away from the wolves. However it is her fierce love for her sisters that makes her accept a deal with four Viking alphas - and that might be a bigger bite than she is able to stomach..
In general I do have certain issues with the omegaverse or PNR where the men are brutal, dominant, savage, doing what they want, being arrogant and having egos larger than this planet, all the while being painted as hot, irresistible, and the FMC will do anything in a sexual haze because she can't control her instincts. There is a very fine line what I am willing to accept and what I consider worth only throwing away, and I am glad this book did not fall into the second category. The Viking alphas here have an added dimension that makes them human, approachable, and even likable. The reader can feel the sparks of chemistry and even though there is a large development potential in Narah, it is possible to connect with her and get in tune with her characters. I liked the book, and even though the ending felt more suddenly cut off than a carefully created cliffhanger, I am actually looking forward to the next one, seeing the impossible choice Narah has to make.

I gather this is a crossover from a previous series, Shadowlands Sector. I haven't read that (yet!) although it has been in my wishlist for a while after reading a preview that was included at the end od another book by this author. Although I havent yet read Shadowlands, and it does get mentioned in this story it didnt impact on any way of my enjoyment or understanding of events that happened in this book.

Now her secret is out and she manages to get her sisters out before she is caught and her mate throws her off a cliff leaving her for dead. Fast forward 2 months and Ragnar, an Alpha wolf who she has asked for help in finding her sisters has found one and now demands his payment. She must take him and 3 of his other men Storm, Nikos and Crius the deadly Poisonous Woods as she can detect magic and keep them safe from the magical deadly traps throughout the woods.
This is a brilliant read and has excitement, secrets and as you would expect with four yummy viking wolves, a little steam. All in all this is one hell of a story that you won't want to miss!

There is a lot going on in this book. This is an Omegaverse with Alphas, Betas and Omegas. These individuals are also wolf shifter packs, there are also witches and it has a post apocalyptic feel with a wild landscape infested with zombies. Our heroine is a half witch half wolf shifter who has never learned how to use her powers and has been taught to hide her witch half. She is rejected by her fated mate. She and her sisters become separated and in her efforts to reunite with them she makes a deal to team up with 4 Viking alpha wolf shifters who are huge and intimidating but secretly all a little broken inside. Something I always love seeing emotional vulnerability in a physically invincible man. There is an uncommon attraction between her and the 4 and adventure ensues as they go on a quest through a poisonous forrest to locate the storied coven of witches that reside within.
This story kept me captivated and guessing the whole time. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It does end on a cliff hanger so I’m impatiently awaiting the next installment now. I really enjoyed the narration. Superb job. Good sound quality. 5/5
