Everything You'll Ever Need (You Can Find Within Yourself) is Charlotte Freeman's first book and was written from the most vulnerable places of the heart. The pages of this book are open and honest, written to resonate with those who need it the most. Full of messages we all sometimes need, that often come at just the right time, this book is your reminder that everything you'll ever need, you can find within yourself.
not your average poetry/prose book & honestly i’m shocked. i wasn’t expecting important daily reminders & passages that i could truly resonate with & that help with feelings of doubt, helplessness, love & every other emotion we tend to feel. i felt like the passages dug deep & tore me up telling me not what i want to hear, but what i need to hear. it really compels you to take a look at how you’re feeling, reinforces you’re understood & sets reminders to point you in the right direction of things like self acceptance, self love, accountability, & just being more gentle & understanding toward yourself. one of the most memorable points revolve around the concepts of feeling and healing & how they are a bond that go hand in hand.
I read it in one night; it's not my favourite Thought Catalogue read, but still very uplifting and put things into perspective. I feel better for having read this.
Isn't it weird how you can experience situations throughout your life that are so heartbreaking or stressful that you can't ever imagine being okay again? Then a few weeks, months, or even years later, you notice that the days go by without thinking about those times. You can laugh, you can smile, you can go about your day and realize that you're so much stronger and happier than you thought you could be ever again. Those bad times might always be in your mind, in your memory, or in your heart, but somehow you feel at peace with your past; and the memories that come back don't punch you in the heart like they used to. You realize that you are, in fact, as strong as everyone was saying you were at the time and that you would, in fact, get through what you went through. Isn't it amazing how much we can change, how much we can learn, and how much we can grow?
I will always be me, And you will always be you. But as long as we are together, It will always be us.
Qué coj… bueno. No puedo puntuar menos, porque no deja
This book was such a cute pick me up filled with inspiring and motivating quotes. Each and every one of these pages resonated with me and I honestly think it’s exactly what I needed right now
I highly recommend anyone who’s having a bit of a shitty time to pick up this book, you won’t regret it
I loved some pages, but there were a lot that seems a little common (?). Overall, it was comforting though! I recommend for those who wants a quick read and something that can cheer them up! I think people who recently experienced bad heartbreaks can better relate to this. (:
Perhaps this would hit better if I actually read the book instead, but I have it as an audio book and it simply does not work for me in this format. It feels like a compilation of inspirational Pinterest quotes.
I think whenever I read a certain type of poetry is when I'm in my feels and just need something to kind of make me think maybe in a different way. I think there were many parts in this that were very uplifting and definitely made me have a different outlook and really resonated with me but some I was a bit like hmm.
The thing with poetry is it's not always going to be for you and a 200 page book of poems they're not always going to resonate with you and I get it! A lot of them did with a few not so much, but overall I know that this gave me the feels I wanted and I'm happy I read it.
Listened to this audiobook while my cousins were driving while listening to the Leafs game on full volume. The book kept telling me to think about myself and to not feel guilty. It almost motivated me to tell them to lower the volume (but I couldn’t do it). Might read again in another mindset. 3/5
This book is full of beautiful encouragement. It was not a book of poetry but words that resonate and inspire us.
Some of the subjects, mainly lost love or break-up, did not apply to me, however the last pages of the book brought tears to my eyes. I felt like Charlotte was speaking directly to me.
Specifically “Live Your Life Like Its Yours” and “Dreamer”. I don’t believe in coincidences, so just when I needed those pages they came. I absolutely was in-depth thinking about those exact things earlier in the day.
I would like to say to any reader; take what you need/want and leave what you don’t.
This book was essentially every positive thing imaginable rolled into a short book. It was all uplifting, but I am unsure I found any value in this book.
Beautiful things take time. Darating din yung oras at panahon na sasabihin mo “Kaya ko pala pinagdaanan yon.” Because at the end, everything will make sense. See, the world does not stop revolving. People, places, circumstances and everything in it is in a constant state of change. And so, you are not subject to being stuck at where you presently are. It might take a little while, but for sure, it will change. There is more!
Siguro, your serenity now is preparing you for a harder future. Your resting potential needs to be tested. You will be tried in the fire, but surely, you’re coming out gold. Or, on the other way around, your struggle, confusion, and disappointment right now is teaching you that there’s a bigger being that is in control. And you must learn to surrender. Perhaps, this is your moment to try and learn to trust the unknown. Your life is not merely a life of comfort. May destinasyon ka, pero bumyahe ka muna. Darating ka din!
Either way, I am praying eagerly that this goes out directly to you and that it would somehow open your eyes to the reality that we won’t have it all figured out. And that’s fine. You are allowed to say “I don’t know what this is all about.” Truth is, we won’t know it all. So breathe. A better, or perhaps, a harder situation may come. But hold on! It’s all a matter of staying there. Gather what you can. Believe for a reason. And repeat. I am cheering you on! ✨
Everything you need to hear is in this book. 🩷 . . Reading this book right after I’ve finished therapy and officially terminated with my therapist was honestly so rewarding. Reading this kind of poetry book as a healed version of myself was a feeling I’d never thought I’d be able to experience. (shoutout to my therapist for the amazing work she did with me! I miss her big time already 😭) The feeling is truly indescribable. 🥹 . . Reading this I found so many of the messages to resonate with me and my heart. It was a lot of stuff that I needed to hear…🫶🏼 This messages really made me reflect on myself, relationships, friendships, my life journey, and so much more. I also found myself being reminded that I do need to continue to be gentle with myself as no one is perfect, but I am also my own biggest critic. . . If you like poetry, motivational & inspirational messages, I’d recommend you check this out! . . Big shoutout to my booksta friend @booksandcaffeine_ for passing along this book from her own personal library after seeing it one my wishlist! 🥹🩷🥰🫶🏼 Also she took the time to mark which messages were special to her. I LOVED that. 🩷🫶🏼
Basically just a bunch of quotes and reminders of things you should probably already know. “Love yourself”, “Don’t settle for less,” “Don’t change yourself for anyone.” Kinda corny and very “live, laugh, love” but good to have when you need to recite or review some affirmations to start your day. A quick read so it’s easy to just grab when you need a pick-me-up.
Do not recommend if you think stuff like that is cringe. Recommend for the manifestation girlies.
To be fair, I'm sure this book will mean something to those individuals who need to hear all this at the exact moment they pick it up. To be honest, however, I think that for the majority of self-help readers this is just a superficial, repetitive jumble of fortune-cookie "pretty words" formatted into what can only loosely be called a book and holds about as much weight as motivational quotes you can search up on Pinterest.
I love this book so much 🥹 The reason why is I am able to express my thoughts more clearly and I also realize that we need to stop thinking so much about whats next but what’s now, right? Life is so short as everyone said so we should really apply it for ourselves not just read it. Maybe this life is not about knowing but finding who we are by existing ❤️❤️❤️
I love love this book! It was my favorite gift of 2023. The passages always resonate with me and it’s my favorite way to start the day. I also post a photo of my expert on my Instagram daily and get at least 1 person a week asking what book this is.
