Spooky season has officially arrived in Twilight Hollow. Can Adelaide and her familiar solve another murder when nothing is as it seems?
When a witch is killed in a ritualistic fashion, detective Logan White has no choice but to involve Addy in yet another murder investigation. Unfortunately, she already has plenty of her own problems to worry about. Halloween is in three days, and the veil to the spirit world is thinning.
Business at the Toasty Bean gets put on the back burner, but little does Addy know, her cafe may be the next target for a magical crime. A crime that could devastate the entire town if she doesn’t work with the dark magic to stop it. Can Adelaide save Twilight Hollow from being trapped in a nightmare?
I am loving this series and find myself trying to convince everybody to read these books. They are short and such an easy read. I think they have quickly become my favourite series. This one's ending was slightly lacking for me but I think its just building up for the other books. I still find Max boring as stale bread but maybe I just need to see more of him? Addy is definitely supposed to be with Logan he just needs to stop being so shy!
This night be my favourite book in this series so far. It has a nice mix and feel to it. Have me a few surprises along the way and help to distract me which is the sign of a good book!
Adelaide came into her witch's powers late in life, unlike her powerful witchy mother and two sisters, but now that she had she was becoming stronger by the day. She was a channeling witch and she could channel spirits and ghosts, so Halloween which was when the veil between the spirit world and the mundane world was thinnest, was the time she was most at risk of being bombarded by them. Her sisters were worried for her, as she was a magnet for trouble. They knew that she was being hounded by the dark magic and that a necromancer might be working in league with this, and when two warlocks turn up in the next town, in the same place as a young woman is murdered all hackles are on the rise. Logan the detective hates involving Addy, however this time round as he realises magic is involved he has to accept this was more her realm of expertise than his. And Addy, being Addy could not help but get involved up to her neck in the dangerous dark magic and spookiness of all hallows night. Max her boyfriend is concerned, and she knows its high time she spilled the beans and told him who she really was, but could she do this and not see him turn his back on her and run? I think this must be my favourite book yet in the Twilight Hollow whodunit series as I love the dark turn this book took and the spooky feel of Halloween. I also love that finally Addy is communicating so well with her familiar spooky, as she becomes stronger in her power.
This is an entertaining Supernatural cozy mystery series. A great cast of characters with an entertaining storyline. Adelaide O’Shea is a witch in a small town where she owns a coffee shop and bakes every morning to put some pastries in her shop to go along with her coffee. Her two sisters are also which is as well as her mother and most of the women in her family. She has a black cat familiar named spooky. She has an almost boyfriend who is a local veterinarian named Max. She’s also friends with the local detective Logan who knows she’s a witch and also knows that she can talk to ghosts and help him solve crimes. Sometimes he wishes she wouldn’t just because it puts her in danger but she always ends up involved because the ghosts come to her and ask her to find their killers. Redone and find out how her hunters sisters and family all get involved and help solve the next mystery and also keep the dark magic away from her. As there is a dark magic out there trying to take her over. Very entertaining and fun read. Check it out
Great characters and action. A lot of suspense and plot twists. Totally enjoyable!

I love that as the series go on Addy’s powers are transforming and getting stronger. This particular installment finally had her and Spooky speaking more which is what I’d hoped for. Telepathy in certain situations can be quite useful if she insists on fighting crime with the detective. We finally get more information about Max and his background as well as growth between he and Addy; I do foresee a triangle forming. The detective seems to be showing more interest in Addy, it’s only a matter of time before this becomes an issue for Max. What’s to come in the next book? I’m excited to find out!

I enjoyed this book, the halloween theme was great and the murders tie in with the overriding threme of the darkness haunting Adelaide. She manages to tell Max about herself, although Logan still comes across as the better man. In this one, magic is used to turn everyone to animals, but she deals with it and learns more about her own magic and what she can do with it as well.
And if you actually became your Halloween character?
Juggling Logan the detective and Max the Witch Hunter Addy has her hands full, not to mention she can't lie. Top that off with the Necromancer coming for her and big bad evil pushing to possess her, its Halloween! It will take the skill off her family and their familiars to save Addy.
I jyst live these books. Ms Christine is an excellent story teller. I highly recommend this series. It has a little bit of everything. I can't wait to get the next in the series. I can not say enough nice things about this book. Loved it.
All Hallows Eve is here and so is another murder or three. Now Addie is faced with too much stress for her magical little soul can take. Can she deal with what is happening and still find time for Max, should she find time for Max?
What an essentric rollercoaster ride that was. So much to take in and really digest. Another murder solved, and more insight into Addy's witchy abilities. Read it in a day.
Addy is really growing in confidence and it makes her a fun main character. I liked getting to know more of the characters and meeting new ones. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
My only complaint is that I feel like sometimes the author didn't actually read the book she wrote previously. There were a few discrepancies I picked up on. The series is still a cozy, decent read for if you are looking for something quick and light.
Oh wow ,I really love it. I was very impressed by the end of the book . All the mystery and turns and trouble that goes on with the characters. Really good reading.
Another fun addition to the Twilight Hollow series. Tricky Treating kept that same cozy, witchy feel I’ve come to enjoy, with a seasonal twist that made it extra charming. Light, magical, and easy to read — a perfect comfort book and a solid continuation of the series.
