A Brambleberry Manor Christmas was such a nice and heartwarming story perfect for Christmas.

Rosie Green once again delivered a good story with well developed characters that will conquer your heart instantly.

Jenny accepts to cater a week long party at Brambleberry Manor the week before Christmas. She is stressed because this is one of the most important work her pretty new catering company got and the word of mouth is essential, but this isn't the only cause, she also has to take care of her teen step-daughter alone because her boyfriend died the year before. Fortunately she can count onFlo, her employee and friend, to survive to her most demanding week of the year.

I recommend to read it and don't worry if yu haven't read the previous books because it is a stand alone and you can easily follow the plot.

The perfect Christmas treat for me as a fan of the Little Duck Pond series! It was so wonderful to catch up with old friends, and make new friends in the characters introduced!

This story revolves around Jenny who is dreading this Christmas - her first without her other half who passed away the year before. She is bringing up his daughter and there are a few teenage issues with her that Jenny also has to deal with causing her more stress. She wants to be there for her step daughter but Tavie isn't proving the easiest to deal with.

For Jenny her cookery is her escape, and her friend Fen asks her to cater a week long Christmas party at Brambleberry Manor for her mum and a few guests. So with Flo as her assistant she has a busy week ahead, not to mention the surprise extra guests and a couple of cooking disasters! Not to mention seeing a face from the past that brings back some very unhappy memories.

There's lots of laughs in this book, alongside a more serious side of coping with grief and dealing with secrets that shock you and the implications they have on others. Rosie has created another set of characters that you instantly care about and enjoy watching them work their way through whatever life throws their way. A wonderful winter treat!! Cannot wait to see what book #15 has in store for us!!

It's another new and delightful addition to this series. Although this is book 14 the first thing I really want to say is that it can easily be read as a standalone. The main character is Jenny and we've never met her before in any of the books so it feels fresh.

She is though friends with Fen, and has agreed to cater a week long Christmas party at Brambleberry Manor, and Katya is also on the guest list but other than that there is only a rather brief cameo from the Duck Pond Cafe girls and it truly is a fresh feeling book. Although Madison was being even more Madison that normal from the small appearance she made!!

As I have come to expect from this series, that as light hearted it is on the surface, beneath it there are tougher threads running through it.

We have Jenny who is trying to make her catering business work, while being Tavie's step mum, after Harvey died the year before. And it's not the easiest of relationships, although Tavie is rather lovely, but also a teenage girl!

Then there is Flo who is Jenny's assistant, who may have more hidden depths to her than may first be apparent. And then there is Noah who has an instant effect on Jenny, but is Noah really the object of Melanie's affections?

We are treated to a number of flashbacks early on to give us all the key background information about Jenny, but once the story was more in the present than past, I found it moved forward really well, and I was hooked and couldn't turn the pages fast enough.

It's such an enjoyable series and this really is a fabulous addition to the series.

This is the type of story I have come to love by Rosie!! Something that will warm your heart. Something that will make you smile and hope for a happy ending. Obviously, we have to have that bit of turmoil but it is dealt with in a realistic fashion and in the end…it always works out.

This can easily be read outside of the series, Fen is in it and my favourite Madison but apart from that it is all about Jenny, Tavie and Flo. I think they are all wonderful ladies and I would love to see them all appear in the series. There are so many ladies, but you can never have enough! Although I say it every time I do miss Jaz.

Jenny is in a bit of a pickle when we meet her. She is a step mum to a tiresome teenage daughter. She has money problems and her ex douche passed away plus she is still grieving. Instead of burying her head, she is proactive and using her strength she is cooking up an amazing menu at Fen’s manor. She, however, did not expect things to turn her head the way they do.

I loved Jenny’s story and I had so much respect for her. She is between a rock and a hard place, but she never once went against her morals. She perseveres when obstacles are in her way. The only thing I wanted more of was, was following a conversation Constance had in the kitchen. I felt more could have been said. However, it all worked out in the end and rightly so!!

I can not wait for book 15 in this series, so much so I am off to read it now!!!! It is a series which I am so fond of and I love escaping for a short while too. I just wish it was a real place that I could go to!!!!

It feels great being back in Sunnybrook although it’s not very sunny there at the moment. It’s Christmas time and snow is taking over the village.

Every time I went to visit, I have met very nice characters, some not so nice ones and of course I reconnected with some ‘old friends’.

This time the usual gang is put a bit on the backburner and it’s Jenny and Flo’s story that fills the pages of this book.

Falling in love is great. Being in love is great, but unfortunately the feeling does not last forever for some couples. Falling out of love is part of life and when both partners feel the same, it still hurts. It’s more manageable, but what if it’s not like that? Why can’t people be honest? Maybe talking might help to see things in a different light.? Cheaters often leave more than one broken heart behind…

I believe it’s very understandable you want to close the door in his face when Cupid comes calling, but you do have to keep in mind that people are different and you surely don’t want to throw away you second chance to happiness??

Trying to protect someone is very noble, but when someone does not know you are doing it, it might come back and bite you…

Once again a lovely, heartwarming story about love and friendship. 5 stars

Thank you, Rosie Green

I always look forward to a new instalment in Rosie Green's popular The Little Duck Pond Cafe series. The Little Duck Pond Cafe series is like a big hug in a book; you feel so welcomed in to their lives that are so very real and relatable and the setting is just so idyllic.

Book 14 sees us with a new character, Jenny who is a good friend of Fen's, so as a newcomer to the series you could easily read this instalment as a standalone. Jenny has just experienced one of the worse years of her life with heartbreak and then financial pressures mixed in with a very emotional teenage step-daughter she doesn't know which way to turn. However, her new catering company is going from strength to strength with her latest job supplying food for a week long festive celebration at Brambleberry Manor.

The week doesn't go to plan and Jenny becomes distracted on a few occasions with her heart taking another beating bringing back old wounds.

Rosie Green has created another wonderful instalment in one of my favourite feelgood series. I love the introduction of new characters giving us new adventures and new storylines. Life isn't all rosy for the friends and loved ones of the Little Duck Pond Cafe but they all help each other when the time is needed. Thoughtful, warm-hearted and cosy feeling.

Jenny is someone my heart went out to instantly. She lost her husband a year ago and is trying her best to make ends meet of which she has a lot on her plate with her step daughter Tavia who is struggling with her own grief over losing her dad. She has a good friend in Flo who she employees to help her with her catering services of which I really enjoyed the friendship between both women.

Noah the love interest, well I could understand why he sets Jenny’s heart all a flutter and loved their first meeting! The setting of winter and Brambleberry Manor set the stage wonderfully for this festive read. Was lovely to snuggle up on the sofa with this book in one of my favourite series’.

A Brambleberry Manor Christmas was a wonderful romantic and heartfelt read which was perfect for the festive time of the year. The blend of romance and Christmas was just enough but didn’t overpower the true meaning of this fabulous book which for me was the relationships we have with loved ones as well as good friendships. Also never giving up on the meaning of true love. Another gorgeous read by the author.

My thanks to the author and to Rachel’s Random Resources for a reader’s copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.

Another brilliant instalment in the Little Duck Pond Cafe series. Jenny was a great main character and her friendships with Fen and Flo were the exact supportive network a girl needs. The difficulties in bringing up Tavie, her step- daughter, were realistic and heartwarming. A lovely Christmas read.

Comfy easy reading

Although part of a series you don't need to have read the other 13 first to follow the story. Only a couple of familiar characters pop up and are not major in the story line. Nice easy ready with a feel good finish

I’m not sure if it’s me, but it took me a while to get into this edition of the little duck 🦆 pond series. I think what is happening we have been introduced to so many characters it is now becoming complex. Apart from that, it is still a lovely story about the trials and tribulations of love!
