Connectivity was my first Aven Ellis book, and I adored it! So when she said she was going to write the next book in the series my first thought was about bloody time! Lol, I was excited as although this would be Lauran and Oliver's story I knew we would be catching up will Mary-Kate and William.

Aven didn't disappoint with Connectivity 2.0 I adored Lauran and Oliver's story was a light easy funny and charming read, without any heavy drama. That fact that it's set in London and where I live added to my enjoyment, and I have discovered a few new places that I need to check out!

Loving seeing what Mary-Kate and William had been getting up to since that last time I saw them sweet and entertaining as always.

Connectivity 2.0was a great read, and now I'm off to order a cheeky Nando's for my dinner! :)

I can’t finish this one. I was looking for a holiday romance, and when I saw Aven Ellis has a new one coming up, I wanted to read the first two in the series to get caught up. I’ve liked Ellis’s books before but these were just not my cup of British tea. The main characters are annoying, and they don’t listen to anyone close to them who warns them about red flags. In the first book, MK’s friends tell her they’re worried about her, and she just moves out and cuts them out of her life. I thought maybe William would try to win them over but nope, just bye forever since you think I might be manipulated by a huge power imbalance in my relationship. Then she changes her whole life for him. Bleh.

In this second book, it’s almost the same, but her friends are slightly more supportive. It’s boring and unoriginal and Lauren being a “grandmillenial” is not really the groundbreaking, confident, powerful intern I thought MK had hired. All the characters bug me. Oliver yelling at Lauren when she tells him she loves him is abusive, and that’s the scene that did me in. I bet she’ll win him back, but I’ll never know because I can’t read any more of this until every one of these characters goes to years of therapy.

I loved Connectivity and Connectivity 2.0 was no exception. The story of Lauren and Oliver was exactly what I crave from an Aven Ellis book. They instantly hit it off when circumstances have them sitting next to one another on a flight to London. Coincidentally, they happen to be working for the same company while Lauren is working on in internship in London. It was great getting to read a story based in London and loved getting a chance to check in on Mary-Kate and William. If you have enjoyed any of Aven’s previous books, definitely check this one out!

(3.75 ⭐️) Yesterday, I finished CONNECTIVITY 2.0 by Aven Ellis, the next book in the BRITISH ISLES BILLIONAIRES series. It’s the HEA love story of grandmillennnial Lauren and billionaire Oliver. For this review, I’m going to do a compliment sandwich. Y’all know what those are, right? Like, frustration, like - only because that is how I felt while reading this sweet romance.

Like:
This had such a great meet-cute! She gets switched to a first class seat (goals!) in a transatlantic flight and sits next to a sexy British billionaire (double goals!).

Frustration:
Lauren’s self-doubt during the middle third of the book was too much. This is coming from a girl who suffers from extreme anxiety and overthinks life. I wanted to reach in my book and shake her while yelling, “do you not see all the clues??” It just dragged on me. (But once it cleared up, I liked the last third!)

Like:
I love how Aven Ellis makes you feel like coming home with her writing. Whether you know her all her characters or not, they become your friends and you root for them - they’re your people; you’re squad.

Overall, I was definitely more of fan of the first book, but I think that is because I liked that couple better. I found some of my favorite scenes were when Mary-Kate and William were present. I can see myself rereading this in the future because it was sweet and it has some of my favorite characters from this world.

You definitely don’t have to read the first one as they are stand alone HEAs, but as the characters crossover, it’s more fun if you do! That would be my recommendation - both of them. (Plus, my dreamboat book boyfriend is in CONNECTIVITY, William Cumberland.)

Thank you Aven Ellis for for the gifted book!

When reading an Aven Ellis book what you get is absolute pure Joy. From my very first Aven Ellis book The Aubrey rules back in 2015(it is an absolute must read) I’ve found joy from each and every one of her books. There is just something so pure and brilliant about these characters she crafts. In Connectivity 2.0 we are introduced to Lauren who is on her way to London for a year long internship. On the plane she meets a very charming Oliver. With one conversation about power bars and popcorn a beautiful connection is formed.

This book isn’t immediately a happily ever after. Oliver told a big lie to Lauren for good reason and they are separatad for a time. Can Lauren forgive his lie? Will they have a beautiful relationship? Only time will tell!

The imagery of London is absolute spot on, Aven definitely described flying into Heathrow perfectly you would actually think it was you flying in with how brilliantly she described it.

The friendships that Lauren has throughout this book are absolutely beautiful. These are friendships of strong women holding eachother up instead of taking eachother down. It is so refreshing and so beautiful to see written out in a book. Too often in books we are women competing with eachother and wanting to taking eachother down seeing real loyal friendship is absolutely beautiful.

In a nutshell this book is about love, friendship, opening yourself up to love. It’s about forgetting your past and behind present with a very special person. It’s an absolutely beautiful story. This book is about finding that person who loves you for you all of your quirks and all. Like any Aven Ellis book I give this 5 stars.

Remember being young and laser-focused on what you imagined your life would be as an adult? What happened if some unexpected incident wove its way into your carefully set plans? Did you take a step back and argue with yourself on whether there was room for growth in your plans? Were you steadfast on no changes to your plan?

In Aven Ellis' newest novel, Connectivity 2.0, Lauren Charleston comes to a crossroads when unexpectedly meeting tabloid favorite "Icky" Oliver Platt en route to her new future in London. On first glance, Oliver doesn't look good on (tabloid) paper but several hours into a cross-Atlantic flight shows Lauren that first appearances can be deceiving -- until a slip up. Lauren must decide if her carefully planned outlook allows for mistakes from a potentially life-changing experience or if she should do as planned -- focus on her new life in London and turn her one-year internship at the world's most influential social media and lifestyle network into a life-long career.

Like Ellis' other novels, Connectivity 2.0 is full of warm, positive energy; fully-researched details on regional locations, food, the latest fad (Ellis nailed it with grandmillenials); and solid storytelling. Be aware that the doors aren't completely closed for intimate moments between the characters, so if you're looking for full steam or shut and locked door scenes, you won't find that here. But, don't let that stop you from downloading and reading.

When done with Lauren and Oliver, you'll give a deep sigh at yet another satisfying story and look to Ellis' previous stories for more.

While heading to London for an internship, Lauren doesn’t expect to find herself seated next to a man who looks exactly like British billionaire Oliver Pratt. She’s instantly charmed by the man, as he is with her. But when his true identity is revealed, will Lauren be willing to give him a chance to prove he’s more than the man in the tabloids?

I think one of the things I appreciated most about this book is the time the author clearly takes to research the places she mentions in the book. It felt like I was actually getting a tour of London along with Lauren as Oliver took her around, and it was easy to picture everything that was being described.

I liked both Lauren and Oliver. They both have issues from their pasts that they need to work through if they’re going to make their relationship work. Oliver really opens himself up for the first time, and he puts in a good effort to prove to Lauren that he’s not the man he’s rumored to be. There’s a little bit of drama, but the book for the most part will have readers laughing and swooning over Oliver.

Mary-Kate and William Cumberland form the first book in the series, Connectivity, also appear in this book. It was nice to catch up with them again.

If you’re looking for a book with little drama, plenty of humor, and includes a wonderful tour of London, this book is for you.

Lauren is on her way to London to start her DREAM internship! Before she knows it, she's settling in to a First Class seat next to a smart and sexy British man, and her adventure literally takes off!

I love the chemistry and development that Aven creates with her characters, and she had it going from the minute Lauren and Oliver meet! Both Lauren and Oliver are carrying some pretty heavy baggage from their past relationships, and it will haunt them through out the story line. But, as in real life, you will always double guess and doubt yourself until you face your issues, and it could make or break your relationship. Aven does a wonderful job of conveying the struggle and bringing in the most unexpected turn of events to help her heroine and hero overcome it.

Aven also does a wonderful job researching the location of her stories, and her descriptions make you feel like you are in London with Lauren and Oliver. While Connectivity 2.0 is a standalone, it was fun getting to catch up with Mary-Kate and William from Connectivity, and I look forward to the stories of characters introduced in Connectivity 2.0.

So, make sure your seat belts are securely fastened, your seats and tray table are in their complete and upright positions, and prepare for takeoff - Connectivity 2.0 is a wonderful escape to London!

Disclosure: I received an ARC for my honest review.

Sigh worthy romance

I have a hard time putting down Aven Ellis books. I'm not a fan of premarital sex but I still love her stories. She has serious issues that the characters struggle with and she doesn't fail in this one. Lauren has closed herself off to the possibility of love because her ex had not one but 2 other girlfriends when he was dating her. He made her feel like she is boring and not enough to hold any man's attention, especially the attention of a playboy, adventurer like Oliver Pratt. Insecurities of being not enough for him and his of being unlovable come into play. Ellis gave just enough angst between the two without it going on too long and then good friends step in to help bring them together again in a sweet and endearing way.
I, also, read the bonus chapter about the proposal. I was irritated that Ellis chose to say the characters traveled to northern Canada in the summer, seeing the polar bears and the northern lights, which isn't possible. During the summer is when that part of the world does not get dark so you are not able to see the northern lights nor are the polar bears out at this time of year because it's too warm for them. If it was fall or even early spring fine but summer? No way!

Lauren just finished college and on her way to London to intern with Mary-Kate, her idol, at Connectivity. A long nine hour flight but she has snacks and tabloids to keep her busy. When she is asked to switch seats with another passenger, she never thought she would end up in first class let alone next to the notarious playboy Oliver Pratt. The man she just read all about in the tabloids.

Oliver is smitten with the southern belle next to him. She asks if he is Oliver and he tells her no but then ultimately comes clean. Lauren gets upset with him and now wants nothing to do with him. She can't wait to get off this plane and to never see him again. Until she walks into Connectivity and who is standing there.

Oliver is trying everything he can to get Lauren to give him another chance as he never met someone like her before. Someone that made him feel things he never wanted to feel. Lauren wants to give him a chance but can't get herself hurt again.

Can these two make an unlikely romance work?

We also meet Lauren's roommates who hopefully all get their own stories.

If you love love stories, pick up this book. Aven Ellis has once again crafted a story that will capture your heart and put a smile on your face.

This is the story of Oliver and Lauren, and it’s also the continuation of the story of William and Mary Kate, who we met in Connectivity. Oliver is a tech billionaire traveling in cognitive when he and Lauren meet in a flight from Raleigh, NC to London. Lauren has just landed her dream internship with Mary Kate and is excited to start the career she’s worked toward for years. Their “meet cute” goes awry (no spoilers), only to hand them run into each other again at Connectivity HQ, where they are paired together on a project.

You’ll love their journey, and you’ll be invested in their growth as they both accept the demons of past relationships to be together. Set against the backdrop of London, you’ll be reunited with some Aven Ellis favorite characters and you’ll meet some new ones who will become your favorites.

I highly recommend the book! Grab a copy and put a smile on your face!

I just finished reading Connectivity 2.0, and I loved it! That shouldn't be surprising since I have enjoyed the majority of the books that Aven has released.

From Lauren and Oliver's initial meeting on the airplane, to the first date that wasn’t a date, to the helicopter ride, to Lauren fixing Oliver a plate, and up until Big Ben, I have had a gigantic smile upon my face. Next came the part of the story I had been preparing myself for.

If you've read any of Aven's books, you know there is always an issue that the couple needs to work through. If you're anything like me, you also feel that heartbreak and the emotions flowing. It's always worth it though to see what happens after the storm clouds pass.

Now I need to wait for that bonus epilogue to be released!

Thank you to Aven Ellis for an ARC of the book!

Connectivity 2.0 is a must read! As a Southern girl myself, I immediately connected with Lauren! Her southern charm and “grandmillennial” personality make her so relatable. I loved getting to see her adapt to life in London, bringing some of her roots to the table in the form of Mimi’s biscuits and gravy! The banter and dynamic between Lauren and Oliver leads to amazing conversations and a deep connection that builds in such a natural way! You can’t help but route for both of them to overcome their pasts in order to find their own happily ever after together! Checking in with Mary-Kate and William (from Connectivity) is a fun bonus, as we get to see how their love story has progressed in the last few years! Connectivity 2.0 is a page turner that will keep you up until 3:30am to finish if you’re anything like me!

Who wouldn’t want to meet a cute guy on the plane, have great conversation and budding chemistry? And on the way overseas for a year-long internship? Then you find out he is a famous entrepreneur with a playboy reputation and about to be a co-worker/boss...after pretending NOT to be himself. What do you do???

Lauren and Oliver’s story is one you won’t want to put down. This is not the typical enemies-to-lovers story. Oliver has met his match. With the help of his friends (William Cumberland and Mary-Kate--their story is Connectivity), Oliver reconnects with Lauren. Aven Ellis is a master of characters and their development. Lauren recognizes when she does something wrong and makes amends in a mature way. I want to be Lauren when I grow up! And I can’t wait to see what becomes of her friends in future books--especially her roommate, Nia

Lovely

This truly is a lovely story. The ebb and flow of Lauren and Oliver’s relationship was fairly predictable but still very enjoyable.

I didn’t want to, but I had to take off a star simply because Lauren’s internal dialogue was excessively repetitive. Unfortunately, it took away from the story and added unnecessary fluff. Many times I felt like I was rereading the same paragraphs cut and pasted from the previous page.
Ms. Ellis is absolutely a dynamic story teller. I think the superfluousness could’ve been avoided if the story was told in dual POV.

From the meet cute, romantic surprises and dates, to the slow burn heat between the H and h, it really is a book worth reading. I LOVED it and recommend it.
(Just maybe skip through the 956 mentions of cheating Jayce.) 😉

Loved it!

I was sent this book for free to read and review.

I've read several other books by Aven Ellis and I really enjoyed this one as well. It's a fairly predictable "this would never happen in real life" whirlwind romance that fits the theme of the first of the series Connectivity.
One thing I really enjoyed about this book was the interweaving characters from other parts of Aven's world. I'd suggest reading the Modern Royals series before reading this book.
I only rated a four due to content errors. I know that's not always the fault of the author, but it does take away from the reading experience.
Overall, if you're looking for a romance novel to be swept into, this will be a great read for you.

I was so excited when Aven said she was going to write another Connectivity book and create the British Isles Billionaires series. I loved Connectivity and Connectivity 2.0 was no different. I loved getting to catch up with Mary-Kate and William and even a little tie in with her Royals series. This book focuses on Lauren and Oliver. Lauren is a Southern Belle moving across the pond for an internship in London who, by a twist of fate, sits next to a gorgeous stranger on her flight. Could that gorgeous stranger turn out to be the love of her life? Check out Connectivity 2.0 when it debuts on January 27, 2021! And don't miss the bonus scene at the end 😍

In my personal opinion, no author writes like Ms. Ellis and that is the best thing in the world! With respect to the accuracy and research done on every single part of this book, it took the reader right along with the story. You felt drawn in and wrapped up while wishing this really could happen! I have been a fan of this author from The Aubrey Rules! I can read this author’s books over and over (trust me I have done so) and never tire of the stories.
I might be a little partial to Oliver in this one. But well done Ms. Ellis! Another British hit I am predicting!

I experienced a legit book hangover from reading all night, I could not put this book down!
Aven Ellis has done it again with another romance that just pulls you in from start to finish. Lauren and Oliver may be my most favorite characters she has written so far. From the moment we meet Lauren we are pulled into a wonderful world of romance, self discovery and real relationships and friendships.
We get to learn more about Mary-Kate and William and their family, explore more of London and are introduced to some amazing supporting characters who leave us wanting to teleport into the book inself.

This is one of my favorites from Aven! I love the characters and their realistic relationship that starts with a book worthy meet cute! I got all the feels when fate took over and had these two cross paths more than once to help them see what could blossom between them.

As always, the accurate food and adventures allow you to feel you are in the city where the characters are- which is so special while we are trapped at home during a global pandemic and itching to travel 😂

So grateful for this fun read filled with swoon worthy moments, guest appearances from some of our all time favorite aven characters, and the promise of a second chance romance to come! Love love love!

Amazing READ!

This book is lovely, charming, swoony, passionate, super romantic and  fun read! I loved this book from beginning til the end. There was a meet cute vibes meeting in the beginning that will triggered my interest. The characters have such fun chats/banters all through out the book.  There are many surprises/unexpected events that will keep you intrigued. One is when Lauren told her boss of her situation.  There are a lot of steamy SWOONY moments. This book has everything that will keep you HOOKED. One of my favorite part was the Helicopter ride. The ending is extremely SWOONY!  Must read!!

I received a free ARC of this book directly from the author via her Facebook group. I loved the continuation of Connectivity 1.0 with the ties to William and Mary-Kate. While some of the romance between Oliver and Lauren is a little too good to be true, I really thought it was a sweet love story. The details about the sights around London and the mix of the sweet Southern gal from the US with the gorgeous and talented Brit made this enjoyable as well.
I’m already looking forward to the next story and seeing how Oliver and Lauren “pay it forward” by helping Jack and Aoife reconnect.

Connectivity 2.0 has quickly become one of my favorite Aven Ellis books! If you are familiar with the first book, Lauren will remind much of Mary-Kate and Oliver of William. Through a chance meeting the sparks begin to fly. From there, it is one adventure after another until their reach their HEA. This book, is beautifully written and will have you going through all the emotions. Yes, I cried at the ending. If you are looking for the perfect book to read with coffee-cake and a proper tea service, this is the book for you!

Aven Ellis always has three things you can count on in her books: a swoony hero (check), a quirky heroine (check), and plenty of hilariously awkward moments (BIG CHECK). This book does not disappoint. It is funny, and sweet, and it has one of the sexiest, non-sex scenes I have ever read. I could not put this one down. I love how the characters from Connectivity 2.0 are connected with the characters from Connectivity 1.0. It feels like both a sequel a stand alone at the same time. I’m not sure how Ms. Ellis hits home runs every time, but she does. From beginning to end a fantastic read!

I enjoyed the storyline of this book. The writing left a lot to be desired. The way the main characters talked to each other was so repetitive and over the top that it was unrealistic. Our heroine, Lauren, spent way more time waxing poetic about how much she loved and adored Oliver and her past boyfriend issues than she did on her career. Her character wasn’t fully developed and left a lot to be desired. In the end, this was a quick read and I skipped over a lot of the conversations between the main characters.

gosh I wanted to love this as much as the first book. but it all felt so childish..so immature. you are far too young to be in love with the 'finest man'. I think of the "exquisite" 25 year old 'men' I dated and honey, love can wait!!! why the rush to push falling in love. it felt forced. they spent the whole book trying to convince each other they loved each other and it felt whiny. hardly any spice and lots of self deprecating remarks. over it. RuPaul says "if you can't love yourself, how in the hell are you gonna love anybody else." and I lived by this.

I was in love with Oliver and Lauren from the moment we meet them! I love how confident Lauren is in herself, and how swoony and adventurous Oliver is. These two have so many wonderful heartwarming moments and I loved following along on Lauren's London adventure!

It was so fun seeing some old favorites, and meeting some new favorites that I hope we get to see soon! Aven does such a great job setting up her worlds, and I absolutely love getting to live in them!

Another well researched novel by Aven Ellis which takes place in London. While the writing is strong the story line seems rather weak. I kept waiting for the conflict to occur between the H and h and it never really materialized. Overall it seemed like this was just Connectivity (the original story) just retold in a new location with new characters. I did enjoy reading the story but feel like it was not very memorable.

Upfront — I received this as an ARC. That said, I absolutely loved Connectivity 2. It was absolutely brilliant to put it in British terms. She weaves the theme of fear and overcoming your fears throughout the book, why we are afraid to look at them and how to move on. Beyond the psychology, the story between Lauren and Oliver is heartwarming. And, it gave me lots of ideas for things to do the next time I get to London.

I loved this book! I always love everything Aven Ellis writes and this is no different. I loved the way Lauren and Oliver met and their story was so cute! Their chemistry was fire right from the start and I didn’t want to put the book down. I was reading till 1am and then I was resisting the huge temptation to read while I was working. I loved Oliver and Lauren together and aside from them it was so nice to see some familiar characters again. I loved this book so much!
